The owner was great! We arrived late after a long journey and very tired and hungry. Unfortunately most of the restaurants were closed. The owner called his friends and found out which restaurant was still open. Then he took our things to the accommodation and dropped us off in front of the restaurant. The room was very cute and cozy, the village was beautiful! The next day the breakfast was great and as a bonus free water on the way back. Thanks and highly recommend!

A very central location, beautiful view. A welcoming owner who prepared us a breakfast in his restaurant within 3-4 minutes walk. Since we came by car, it was a big plus that he gave us a permit to stay on the island where cars usually are not allowed and secured us a parking space in front of his restaurant. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

A very lovely cosy town house in the Middle of the village. Easy check-in. Nice with the shared kitchen and fridge for cool drinks and food. Very nice breakfast and the only place on my trip round Holland I was offered a fried egg, lovely. Even had smoked salmon, scrumptious.

Good breakfast prepared by the host at his resturant, located at quiet place and just less than 10 mins walk from bus station or to the harbour. Took a boat trip to Volendam which was very convenient

Beware of flies if u opened the windows

I didn’t realize that I didn’t have the address and it was hard to find. But once I got a neighbor to call the number, the owner was gracious snd super helpful. Making the stay highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was perfectly clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The host was kind, attentive, and made us feel at home. Highly recommended!

The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful Breakfast was great The situation- ie Marken, is unique- cycling through waterland on a summer evening was almost surreal.A shame I had little time to explore, but I'll definitely return and would be delighted to stay at De Pepersteeg again

It had taken me 11 hours to cycle there from Europoort -obviously not the fault of De Pepersteeg! Otherwise nothing

Quaint B&B. Cute small village. Breakfast at restaurant down the street - not at the “hotel”, but very good. We had two rooms on the same floor with a shared kitchen area. Nice break from Amsterdam!

The spiral staircase to get to the rooms! Worked out ok but was not prepared for that. A bit of a challenge to park a car but that worked out too.

Clean, amazing location, friendly staff

I didn't realise that bathroom and toilet are shared facilities - but this is clearly indicated on their page, I just missed it. Breakfast is also in another property some 100m away. But those little inconveniences don't spoil the stay there. Very cosy and a little quirky (but in the right way)

Bertus is a TOP HOST, willing for everything. It was a pleasure met him as well as have dinner in his Restaurant, same place of valuable breakfast. Marken is a such amazing place, the B&B deserves all the previous positive feedbacks.

It would be great to have some feature to get more dark on the room in early morning
