My stay at the hotel was truly a wonderful experience. The room was very comfortable, with beautiful views of the sea that made every morning feel special. The food was absolutely delicious, with great variety and well-crafted flavors. Above all, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always welcoming us with a smile and ready to help with anything. Definitely an experience I’d love to repeat. Thank you for making it so special!

The only downside I would mention is that there were several cobwebs in the room, and we even noticed some spiders, despite housekeeping coming in daily. It didn’t affect the overall experience too much, but it’s something that could be improved.

The hotel was very nicely decorated. You can take lots of photos in the lobby, Has nice large rooms with great views of the sea. Has kettle in the room. There are proper elevators (not common in the Netherlands) Right along the main tourist street.

There is no access to the sea. It was not easy to find the hotel as there were no proper signage and instructions on what to do when you reach the gated only road leading to the hotel. Also the road was crowded with tourists. The parking was a bit expensive.

The location is very very nice

When I checked in I was gives room 19, being in the room for a few hours we heard the door go and someone walked it, it appeared that the person who checked us in didn’t assign us to the room so when someone else checked in they where given the same room, good job we was in as we could have had some things stolen if the people came in and didn’t walk out, I told reception and they apologised but it still shook us both up

Great location in the center and close to the harbour. Beautiful old building with a great sea view from the restaurant and bar. Great choice at breakfast and the pool and sauna were an added bonus.

The service at check-in. Receptionist couldn't find our booking and was adamant that he didn't need our Booking.com confirmation. It took 15 minutes to find our rooms. The curtains in the room are very thin and don't block out any light. The room was very noisy from a motor outside that ran all night.

Very calm and relaxing with an eccentric mix of interiors and art, great location to cycle in and escape the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. We got a room with a balcony where we could watch the world go by. Everyone was very friendly and quite dry.

Unfortunately there are some works on the dike along the water front, there was no noise pollution though. In town the restaurants were not exciting, I think if they had an option for a cheese board with local cheese that would have been a game changer! We bought cheese from the local factory though and enjoyed it peacefully on our balcony. We were told the town was very touristy, but the majority of tourists were Dutch, so just added to our experience in the end.

Not that it totally affected our stay, but there were refurbishments going on that we were not told about when booking. The Air conditioning did not work in our room we told reception on two occasions, on the second occasion, the night manager just responded by saying," it's what it is " not a very positive response I would say. I have stayed on other occasions and I would say the hotel interior is looking very dated , let's hope the refurbishment brings it up to date. I would just add finally that the ambience in the hotel was poor, but this may have been due to the refurbishments that were on going.

Well located, in the heart of Volendam. Recently the parking price changed to 25€ but the information we got when we initially booked the room was 15€. Very kind from his side, the manager settled it down for us.

This period the building from the sea side is under construction, they renovate several areas in the building. It can be a bit noisy, but it was not a real issue for us. Renovations should take place for a better service and facilities :) Apart from that, i would appreciate if the rooms were cleaned better.

Everything was perfect! The hotel is in Volendam a fantastic small fishing village where time seems to be stopped. Well served with public transport (there is every 30 min a bus to Amsterdam. It takes 30 min to arrive in Central station of Amsterdam). Additionally, it is possible to reach Zaanse Schans (a beautiful village with windmills) and the Ocean too. Thank you!

A lovely hotel. Traditional in parts, and modern in others. My room was nice and very clean. However, I found the mattress too soft and uncomfortable to sleep on. Also, the tea / coffee tray was missing from the room and when I asked for it I was only given a kettle and a paper cup plus a couple of tea bags. (No milk, no coffee etc). I felt that it was a bit of an inconvenience for them.

The location is great and the superior room with balcony and lake view was very nice and spacious. The breakfast buffet was great and included everything one could need. The pool and sauna area were very nice too, and we had it all to ourselves.

The balcony was not very clean, spiderwebs everywhere. We also paid extra for late check-out at 3pm but got disturbed twice because apparently not all staff was updated about this. In the end we paid quite a lot for what we got.
