The location of the property was excellent as it was convenient to the beach and local amenities. The staff were also very efficient and friendly. The property was very clean and well kept.

The only disappointment was that it was smaller in size than it appears in the photos which gives a misleading impression of space when it is in fact very compact in the dining/lounge sitting area. It is also very expensive overall and I would say poor value for what it offers for size compared to other local hotels.

The location is really great, its right on one of the main streets in Scheveningen, close to several coffee shops, and excellent bakery, and a great greek restaurant. Reception was very friendly and helpful, they were excellent. Room was nice, plenty of room for our family of 4 (kids 7 and 3). Nice large bed and tv, kitchenette with all the appropriate dishes, pots, knives etc.

Im not sure if its mentioned in the postings, but there is no parking at the Ocean house, the parking lot they are affiliated with is about a 12 minute walk, and i believe costs €25 per night. Its a minor inconvenience and extra cost, but something I should have paid more attention to. Only other thing is that the pillows were not very comfortable at all for me or my wife. They are square versus rectangular shaped and were just not very good in our opinion.

Very nice location in the old center of Scheveningen a 5 min walk from the beach and friendly staff. Access to be building is very easy and convenient. The parking spot was close by and roofed (though a bit narrow)

The elevator did not work during the entire stay. Also, the bed is only separated from the living room with a curtain. They have some larger units as well, but they are maisonette with stairs that are way too steep

We found the rooms to be on the smaller side but reasonably well-equipped. It would have been more convenient for us, as a family with two small children, to have access to a washing machine or laundry facilities within the building. Unfortunately, we overlooked this detail during the booking process. However, there was a laundromat located very close by, so this issue was quickly resolved. Housekeeping services were provided every 2 to 3 days, and the staff went above and beyond to assist us with any special requests or inquiries we had. The staff members were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. The beach is undoubtedly the main attraction close to Ocean House and we spent the majority of our vacation there. We were fortunate enough to have great weather Ocean House unquestionably delivers a quality experience and offers good value for the money, especially considering its fantastic location.

One minor downside we experienced was that the cleaning and vacuuming seemed to exclude the area under the beds and sofas. This has been a recurring observation in many accommodations we have visited thus far, not only Ocean House. It is disappointing to find dust and debris from previous guests underneath the beds, especially considering that one of our children has a dust allergy.

Great location a minute from the beach and on a pedestrian shopping street, easy access, parking next door (available for a fee), really friendly helpful staff, accommodation standard was excellent, found the virtual AI assistant on WhatsApp very useful for quick questions and housekeeping. Can also recommend the burger restaurant/bar next door as well - super friendly and nice live music.

We liked it all.

We were very pleased with the proximity to the center and the quality of the room we stayed in, its cleanliness, ease of transportation and peace. You can reach the hotel with a 10-minute tram ride from the center of The Hague, and it is a beautiful hotel located in a location with many shopping stores on the street where it is located. It has a legendary elevator!

Ocean house scheveninggen was a wonderful apartment, spacious, comfortable, great location and facilities. Easy walk to the beach, supermarkets, restaurants and transport. Great shower, comfortable bed, wifi worked well, kitchen well equipped. Has a lift but gets stuck quite often between floors, so preferred to take the stairs. Car parking available at €25 per night. Would definitely return

This was a really functional aparthotel room, but that didn't mean it lacked in style. The room had everything we needed, and staff were incredibly helpful - including for example, bringing me an ironing board and iron when I needed it. The property is really close to the beach, and there are shops, a laundromat, grocery store, and little restaurants right on your doorstep. The WiFi always worked and was a good speed. They arranged (paid) parking for us nearby, so we could easily come and go. The tram is a short walk up the road. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Overall, great value for money.

The bathroom door was on a spring so you could not leave it open unless you had a doorstop (which we didn't).

Location is really nice, staff already put our card on in the room so the room would already be warm, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very spatious, so was the bathroom. Asked staff if they could put rose petals on the bed and they were happy to do so at no extra charge.

No 24/7 reception, found a small stain on the bed sheet though the bedsheets did look cleaned. Was a persistent stain. Didn't see a remote in the room, though staff is happy to help with that issue.

Ocean House met all our needs - it was close to the sea but a step away from the main tourist area and we were able to make our own breakfast and cook when we got fed up of eating out (and we did!). The bed was very comfortable, the shower was superb and the kitchen was well equipped, although we would have preferred a cafetiere to the coffee machine. We were very impressed by the price (although I suspect we had an upgrade) and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We struggled a bit with the automatic check-in (you have to wait for an email at some point in the process and I got impatient!) but somebody quickly came to help. Generally couldn't have found a better place for us and we had the best fish stew at Cafe Yil (by the tram stop). We will definitely stay here again, when we visit the Dutch side of the family.

Can't think of anything - vaguely remember the lack of a cork screw but so much wine is screw top that it didn't matter
