It is good value for money and they take dogs. The rooms for the people with dogs are in the appendix to be entered from the garden. They cost a little more but that is well worth it as you have your own bathroom as well. The beds are very good indeed and I am fussy about beds. The rooms are super clean and well maintained. The breakfast bar is outstanding and included in the price. The coffee is very good continental type coffee but you can have tea as well. The staff are all very helpful and extremely friendly. It is close to the town centre and all the shops and eateries. I have stayed here several times and will return. For me it is pure bliss to stay there.
I can't think of anything. It is small hotel run by the owners, it seems. Just don't expect chamber maids and turn down service, which I deem completely unnecessary. Everything else is there and of very good quality including a water kettle in the room with instant coffee, tea bags, two cups and two chocolates.

Very friendly helpful people. Clean, good sized room with big double bed & private bathroom. Extra quilt & pillow in wardrobe. Although radiators were on, it was a little chilly still, but not uncomfortably so...til you stepped out of shower 🫣 anyway. We were a little concerned about the noise from the extractor fan at first but realised that it turned itself off a little while after the bathroom light was turned off 👍 Breakfast was excellent. We would stay here again 😊

The staff were friendly and the hotel is just a short walk away from both the metro and the ferry terminal, so very convenient. It's also just one stop away from the beach, which is dog friendly. My dog travelled with me and they were very accommodating. The breakfast was very filling too.
Everything was good, but the bed could've been a bit more comfortable but despite that I slept okay.

I had a great stay at this hotel. It's walking distance to the train and ferry and very calm and peaceful. Staff was very friendly and took extra time to communicate with me even though I barely know any dutch and don't know any German.
It didn't bother me because I'm Deaf but the clock on the church next door does chime all through the night that's something to be aware of...I only barely realized it but I would think a hearing guest might not be able to sleep through that. It did slightly smell of smoke but I'm very sensitive and it wasn't overwhelming.

Breakfast was incredible! I wasn’t expecting so much. And the ladies running breakfast were lovely and professional. It is also dog friendly and only 20 mins walk or so to the beach where you can also walk your dog. It is only a 15 min walk from Stena ferry port.

everything was as I expected, the rooms were very clean, a little outdated but perfect for a night stay the beds were very comfortable and the buffet style breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, lots of cold meats and several different breads. The owner went out of his way to help us when we could not get a taxi.

Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Staff were super inviting and friendly.
The 2nd bedroom wasn’t as private and seperate as I thought - the glass separating the rooms meant that no privacy was given between rooms when changing. Maybe some curtains would have sufficed but that was the only real con.

Nice small town, very good location. Train station is just across the road so its easy to get on the beach or to other directions to visit cities
share bathroom and toilet. I would say its a wee bit to expensive for this type of hotel.

Friendly staff, very accommodating - we arrived later than anticipated due to flight delay, with a cat. Breakfast was excellent. Very convenient for Ferry. Nice little garden out the back.
Not so keen on shared toilet but it was only one night, so fine.

Lovely old building with a beautiful garden. Great breakfast, comfy, clean beds, great shower, good towels. Excellent location for restaurants and just a short drive to the long, sandy, clean beach. Super friendly, helpful staff. Can highly recommend and will use again. Plenty of FREE parking right outside the hotel or nearby.
Just mentioning it for light sleepers. The church bells (next door to the hotel, which was the vicarage) rings once every half an hour and then every hour = midnight 12x. It can be annoying or soothing, for us it was the later.
