I went for the luxury room which was really impressive. I had an excellent stay. Did not use any facilities as I had little time to enjoy the hotel. The bed was excellent. The late checkout was very reasonably priced and time to check out was quite a bit later than one would normally expect. I booked with breakfast included which I heard was great but skipped breakfast, the breakfast was deducted from the bill without any issues.

Not exactly cheap. The shower and bath faucets are on / off button controlled and only temperature is adjustable, its sufficient but I would prefer adjustable.

The room was very large, and the staff were super friendly. Booking.com doesn't recognise a baby as a baby - if you try to add one to the room, it only allows you to add an extra room. So we excluded the baby. When we arrived at the hotel, the price was more than Booking.com said, and we were told this was because of our 11-month-old daughter. We'd brought our own travel cot, though, and so the next morning the manager refunded the extra bit. He was super nice about it, and then he gave our daughter one of the logo stuffed animals.

The carpets could have been a bit cleaner in the room, but it wasn't too bad. And it would've been nice to know about the construction on the parking side of the hotel - we might've paid more for the other side instead.

Nice room (quite big) and bathroom. friendly staff and restaurant with good food and helpful staff.

Nothing but we were lucky as the highway was closed so it was quiet. I can imagine if there is traffic, the noise level would have been different.

We decided to stay an extra night, but only a lesser room available than I had paid for , and we did not want to hve to pack up and move in the morning The very kind receptionist found us a room for two nights with an upgrade for the second, it was much appreciated Our room was in a new section of this large hotel, quiet, very well equipped, bed excellent Able to walk long paths in countryside from hotel and town close

Absolutely nothing

We were travelling through Europe working, and Sneek was our penultimate stop. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was superb and competitively priced. Service was great and all the staff were lovely, warm, welcoming and friendly. I would happily recommend the Van der Valk Hotel to anybody.

Everything ! The room was lovely, it was clean, lovely bath, comfortable bed. The restaurant food was excellent The staff are helpful and friendly The lobby area was very comfortable just to sit and have a coffee. Great location

Having to leave

beds , very good bathroom , also great room with lovely view, delicious coffee , very comfortable sofa, great breakfast with tabels outside to enjoy nice weather....

quality of bread can better: more natural, dust under the beds I wanted to know the sens of the text on the floor of the corridors , written in Frisian, but the person who was working by the reception had no idea . not about the floor and does not know Frisian langage, unfortunately.... suggestion: translate this text in dutch en english voor de travellers!

Big rooms

Paid for our meal and then room still charged that was sorted. Went to check out and previous days drinks were on the bill which we had already paid for. Good job we were observant.

Very nice hotel in Sneek. Stayed only a short night but accommodated everything I needed. Friendly check-in, friendly breakfast staff, comfortable bed, amazing shower and everything was very clean!!!

The room numbers do not match the floor numbers. the 3xx rooms are on the 2nd floor. You can fix this by naming the room numbers on the ground floor 001 - 032. It's a very small thing, but really triggered my OCD.
