Tjarda was a great hostess and super helpful. We loved the Fries vibe and the BnB was amazing. We travel quite a bit- but this was one of the best. Close to bnb is a lovely restaurant. Very reasonable and super staff Albert Heijn supermarket close. Franeker is duch a sweet and still ‘functional’ town- not a tourist trap. Loved this visit! Thanks

Not much space for clothes but this was not a problem for us for one night. It would have been nice to have had a small fridge. Again, not a necessity.

Great location near the center of Franeker and a great hostess. Spacious room with very nice bathroom and a great view over the waterways. Excellent breakfast and coffee and nice interaction during breakfast with other guests.

The entire stay and accommodations were perfection! We were met by Tjarda as we arrived and given a complete tour of the old carpenters building which now has a lobby/breakfast area and three rooms: a ground level room usually for single night use or visitors who don't do stairs. This room has a king bed and table and chairs and private bathroom. Simple but lovely. Up the stairs to the second room with its own living room with couch and chair, as well as private bath. Up the antique stairs to an attic bedroom. Very romantic but perhaps for the young of heart (and knees). From the landing by the second bedroom is a wider staircase to the top floor. A large bedroom with high ceilings and large bathroom, view of the water outside and a couch and comfy chair. The couch is easily moved to either face the view or turned to the TV. A real living room feel. The beds were great, the bathrooms lovely and big. Each room had coffee makers and a mini frig in the hall had local beer and wine. The linens were also high quality and the towels fluffy and new and they even had dutch washcloths included!! Toiletries were also nice (even a first aid kit under the sink which took in lots of definitions of emergency). Breakfast was also fantastic. Overload of food which would be a problem if it went to waste, but everything not consumed was packed up for lunch. So price was also extremely reasonable. Bikes stored in garage next to building so no worries there. Have stayed in dozens of places in NL. Very rarely stayed anywhere this nice. Extra Bonus: Franeker!

No negatives for our stay, if you are staying longer like we did, the stairs might be a problem.

Best glutenfree breakfast I ever had ! Excellent bed and facilities. More important, the location is great, walking distance to the center to see the Planetarium, many different restaurants and coffee places. The town has beautiful architecture and pitoresque houses. The canals are absolutely charming.

We would have liked a refrigerator to place our food and beverages. But it was not a problem since the weather was cold.

Hosted by the most happy , friendly and accomodating owner. a beautiful property so well curated to give an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay. i had specific unsociabletimes for breakfast as I was over for a sporting event, nothing was a problem to accommodate. i couldnt recommend it highly enough.
