I rented an apartment and really appreciated the facilities and the size of the apartment. Nice kitchen. Good living room en excellent bath room and bedroom. And of course the building is magnificent!!! When I reported back to the owner that I had too little light in the living room, he took action instantly.

There was some confusion about checking in. But when I arrived, everything was fine. As a general rule at certain hours nobody is there to do the checkin. The owner, Marije, tried to call me and I was difficult to reach. That caused the confusion. They did not inform me that the fridge by default is switched off. And I only found out next morning that it was not working. After which she explained how to switch it on.

After receiving a phone call to confirm my arrival time, I found the welcome was heartwarming and they were very concerned that I registered for the pay parking in the street as it is all now online and a vehicle randomly traverses the streets scanning numberplates. The building is fascinating, having been formed inside the existing walls but without altering them. The lift to the 2nd floor was tiny and manually operated and so convenient! The main street is moments away, filled with cafes, bars and restaurants as well as all form of shops and a canal and harbour. Truly photogenic and relaxing.

The staff was very friendly and helpful,. The hotel and garden were charming. The apartment was big enough. The bathroom and especially the shower were serious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped.

Beds were much too soft, but that's very personal so can be perfect for other guests. The bedroom was too warm for us, we were trying to sleep with open windows but it was not possible due to the noise made by the church clock.

There was no breakfast and no room service because it was an appartement . Wich i didn’t know before. It was like airbnb .

Communication was poor. I had to wait in the cold for staff to come to check in. And i paid two euro’s more than agreed with booking.com. It’s not about the sum but it was the first time that this happens.

Good location in centre of town. Short walk to good range of bars and restaurants. Rooms were warm and beds comfortable. Excellent communication with hotel who responded to any request very quickly.

Just a note - parking is chargeable until 8pm. Free after that. Small car park immediately outside. We always found a space.

Really cosy and comfortable for a one night stay, very pleased with the room and pleasantly surprised with the size of the bathroom. Very clean and easy communication with the Hotel. Very close to the ferry docks to get to Terschelling.

The beds were extremely soft - not to my liking or comfort, but if you like that then it would not be a problem.

Great location (close to both the train and ferry stations), lovely staff and unique rooms in an old ‘pakhuis’. Nice garden to sit and having some drinks/dinner.

Very central in Harlingen, with good parking and good possibilities for cooking in the room. Close to all necessary functions like restaurants, shops, and the Terschelling ferry. Good place for a family.

Strong wifi, big bedroom with fridge and simple cutlery and crockery, nice courtyard for relaxing , nice restaurants within five minutes walk. Interesting conversion of an old industrial building
