The hotel is beautifully situated on the waterside with many boats coming and going. We had a great view of this from the hotel lounge and the terrace, and we were lucky enough to be in a room which gave us an even better view from the balcony. Our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was great, with a good choice of buffet items and cooked eggs from the kitchen. The lounge is a great space in which you can relax on the comfortable seating. Willem and Jessica are excellent hosts. They were happy to share the history of Friesland with us and recommended an excellent restaurant, just a short walk away in the historic and beautiful small city of Workum.

The hosts Jan Willem and Jessica are great. We had a very comfortable stay. They remodelled the hotel begin of 2023 and it shows. real improvement.

All was great. the room was lovely and the beds really new. The beds were quite soft to our taste, both mine and my daughters. Perhaps make harder topcovers available, that might help. But definitely not a showstopper for us.

Great small hotel with a good breakfast. Rooms were very clean and up to date.

The minor small issue is that there s no reception available after a certain time (19 or so), But we are offered a key to the backdoor so, in the end, all okay.

Very friendly staff, anything to make their gasts comfortable . Excellent (and quiet ) location to discover this region, liked the cooking of the Lady of House. Room was recently renovated. We had an excellent time. Renting bikes or boots possible.

All good for a 3-star hotel

Excellent place. Nice small bed&breakfast style hotel next to Workum canal. My room had a view towards the canal and the old ships there. Cosy breakfast room, waterfront terrace and extremely flexible personnel and service. I needed to leave early, but a breakfast bag was waiting for me and I just returned the key on the table. Free parking and easy acxess to Workum beach by bike or by car.

Very quiet and relaxing. We slept very well on the comfortable bed and enjoyed a decent breakfast. Only a short walk to the center. Will stay here again.

Could not find anything we didn’t like, but then again we were not looking for downsides.
