Everything. The hotel was perfect for us. Beautiful historic building. Large well equipped room, with the most comfortable large bed. We had the chef's menu which was incredible - amazing taste and texture combinations. Although the principle courses were fairly small, there were so many extra little plates that were included that we came away satisfyingly full. For the quality of the food, it was also really good value. The Somellier was very knowledgeable and helpful. Staff were incredibly friendly. Breakfast also met the high standards set at dinner - various small plates. Highly recommended.

Absolutely nothing.

Beautiful room, beautiful warm soft lighting everywhere. Excellent location just several hundred metres from the train and very close to the main square/old town. A lovely place for a drink and to relax, and also so easy to walk from here to everything you need. Really enjoyed Zutphen and the hotel. Thank you so much for having us and the effort that has gone into making this such a lovely relaxing environment

When we arrived they were having issues with some of their systems/internet connection. This meant a slightly delayed check in and not being able to have our own programmed room key until the second day. The hotel was very quick to acknowledge this and gave us a drink on the house in the lovely cocktail bar whilst we waited.

room interieur, sphere, old spirit of hotel

Toilet walls were splattered with stains of unknown origin (could be just water) but visually looked very unhygienic, when complained at reception the only response was to file a compliant by email. Meal for 3 in hotel restaurant costs 250 euro, choice between full-course menu or nothing.

We were doing a 4 & 5* hotel to hotel cycling trip planned ourselves. Broederenklooster blew all the other hotels out of the water. Absolutely stunning, quiet and exceptionally comfy suite. Fine dining to die for - even at breakfast!

Being charged 10 euro for water!???

Central location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room were nice and cozy. They tried to keep the decorations of the room and hotel in line with the old monastery. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. Also the breakfast was amazing with a 3 course menu.

The room had only single glass so it was a bit chilly at first but when we put the heating on maximum it was fine. There was no parking at the hotel. you had to park at the station (close by ~5 min walking). A little minus point of the breakfast was when they forgot to serve us for the last course, but eventually we received it.

The place is beautiful, clean and food is exceptionally good.

We have missed the breakfast and the staff was telling us off by the check out, which felt rather uncomfortable and invasive.

Location. Friendly staff. Interesting comfortable room.

The bed was on a higher level so you had to remember there were a couple of small steps to go down in the middle of the night.

Such a gem! Charming historic property. Beautiful style and attention to details for comfortable travel. The staff are very attentive and friendly. And the restaurant was one of the best I’ve ever been to. Delicious creative food that is presented artfully.

One of the best appointed hotels we have stayed in. Everything very well thought out and it felt luxurious.

Whilst the breakfast was well presented, it didn't really constitute a breakfast for us and was a little too "Heston Blumenthal" for our liking. As I say well presented but not to our taste
