The front of the hotel is in a historic building in the heart of this fascinating town. Behind the old building is located the the more modern part of the hotel. The staff at reception were very helpful and considerate. Our room in the modern part was spacious and usefully furnished with good wifi enabling full use of the desk. The bed was large and comfortable and the room was quiet. We also liked the two easy chairs. The shower was compact, but a walk in wardrobe and easy to use safe were provided. There was a good choice at breakfast, especially liked the fruit bread. The hotel's central location meant we were able to walk readily around the town and by use of the trains explore further afield.

Monday is a very quiet day in Zutphen, everything either opens later or is closed

Loved the breakfast and the choices. The location of the hotel was a bit far from train station but manageable. The elevator in the hotel was helpful. The room was small but nicely appointed. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous like an estate.

The staff could have been more friendly. We asked for suggestions in the town and she shrugged. It was a patron at the small bar who gave her suggestions to tell us. Not sure if this was a training issue or? The room had an off putting smell. Sort of like sewage. Not sure if this is an old building smell or somewhat of a blockage.

The location! In the beautiful old centre, with the Walburgis Church at the opposite street and next to the Zutphen Museum. Also, 5 min walk from the train station. The staff is very professional. They had oat milk I asked for. The croissants were very good. And the guy at the breakfast café was very attentive. The room was not very spacious but nice colours and pretty modern. The bathtub was good.

At first I’ve got a different room with shower. I booked with a bath. I went back to the reception and got the one I booked. That was ok. I didn’t like that the room was looking onto the street, where the cars were parked and people walked by. Breakfast can use more options, it was ok but not much variation. The muesli was good but then only 2 different sorts jelly and not real orange juice. The hotel is very elegant, so I guess I expected a bit more. The room cleaning was done after 14.00, which was weird. I was relaxing in my room whilst the woman came in. At first I thought it was quite unusual they didn’t come earlier, but then she said that was ‘normal’.

The hotel is located in the city, yet I could enjoy the tranquility and the breakfast was fulfilling. I love that they also gave free coffee & tea so I could drink it in my room. I arrived a little late that night, but they were still kind enough to open the door for me :) The hotel is within walking distance of the train station. If I had to choose a hotel in Zutphen, I would definitely choose the Hampshire Hotel - 's Gravenhof Zutphen again.

There is nothing that I did not like :)

The location was excellent. Very close to the shops and restaurants. There was outdoor seating at the hotel to have a drink or a coffee which was nice in the evenings before going for dinner. We stayed in a suite, which was spacious with all the modern facilities. It was hot while we were in Zupthen, so it was good to have AC. Good variety available for breakfast. There was paid car parking in front of the hotel, which was great as we had a rental car. Easy enough to get a space. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage as we arrived earlier than the check-in time. The check-in process was easy and straightforward.

There was nothing to complain about.

The room was very clean, large (we stayed in a suite), and with excellent views over the square. Air-con worked well and kept us cool (much needed), and the inclusion of a separate fan was also appreciated. Staff were great, breakfast was tasty, and the bar/restaurant worked well.

Breakfast was a little hectic at times, and they seem to lack enough plates/bowls. Some of the food choices were also quite slow to get refilled. Both minor nitpicks and breakfast is optional. The shower in the bathroom didn't seem to have a working fan. Not a big issue, worth noting.

ExCellent location in the centre of Zutphen, still relatively quiet. Very friendly staff. Spacious room with comfortable bed and bathroom. Nespresso machine available. Good quality breakfast. Parking day card available for adjacent public parking.

The TV channel collection was limited. Contact noises from the rooms above were too loud.

My room was located in new part of the building, but the old one is in really impessive rococo style. The town is very well renovated and you can feel the past, walking the streets. But the young lady at the reception is the real jewel in the hotel. She was helpul, giving much precise information abt town, that we needed, even the location of best cheese shop. Thank you / Dziekujemy!

good breakfast clean rooms excellent, responsive front desk. right in the centre of town.

Breakfast room a bit small and poor layout so awkward to get coffee and access the dishes. Windows in breakfast room cannot be opened and so gets quite hot.

The central yet quiet location of the hotel. The spaciousness and quietness of the room, as well as its equipment. There also was a bath tub. However, bath tubs are only available in double rooms. The single rooms are too small, more noisy and less well-equipped, so make sure to book a double room, even with single occupation. It is well worth the additional cost.

There was no (small) fridge in the room. In a 4-star hotel one would expect at least a small fridge. The hairdryer could be a bit more sophisticated too. Breakfast was just OK, nothing out of the ordinary.
