Wonderful location, room and view. Staff very friendly.
It felt a little chaotic at times - I think a lot of people had just arrived to work the season. So sometimes the staff struggled sometimes to answer a question or address an issue. It was really minor stuff but given the location, this could be a 5* plus experience and it comes off a little less than that due to a few teething issues. Also things like one soap in the shower for shower gel and hair....no conditioner. Would be so nice to have some lovely Norwegian separate shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

Beautiful property, staff was very helpful and friendly and the restaurant staff was too. Would stay here again.
This has nothing to do with the property, but since it is a remote property, this info is important... We needed to take the ferry the next morning to Andenes, but because there are so many motorhomes (caravans) taking over the roads, we couldn't get on and had no choice but to drive 7 hours to get to our next stop. If you are staying here and depend on a ferry for your next stop, be very aware that you may not make it. It could literally take you camping out in your care overnight in a long line of vehicles at the ferry port a night or so in order to make the next ferry. Hotels on both sides of the ferry need to lodge a complaint to transport authorities.

We had a first-floor one-bedroom twin bed suite, which was spacious and light. The view from the apartment was fantastic, and the terrace was a pleasant space to sit out. The area is quiet and peaceful, and the apartment was very private, with nothing overlooking the window or the terrace. The beds were comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher on our arrival. We subsequently discovered the dishwasher wasn't working. The rattan furniture on the terrace was in poor condition and there were no bedside tables, even though there was plenty of room. For some reason, we needed to use the key to open the door from the lounge to the bedroom. None of this detracted from what was a very peaceful, enjoyable stay.

The location of this hotel is hard to beat. It has stunning views in multiple directions, making it a great place to see the northern lights away from Tromso. We were lucky and had clear skies on both nights and were able to see the lights from various vantage points. The view from our suite was beautiful, and when we weren't on the booked activities we sat and gazed out the large picture windows for hours. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, especially Sam, who took us on day tours - a tour of the national tourist route and snowshoeing - both of which were outstanding. The food in the restaurant was delicious on both nights.
The single beds in the bedroom were very narrow - we would have preferred a double or queen. Also, the lighthouse, which is advertised as being a great place to wait for the northern lights, may be warm inside (I never went in), but is so brightly lit outside that it actually detracts from the ability to see and photograph the aurora. I ended up looking for other spots around the resort to set up my camera.

Everything about this trip was just magical. We booked the aurora rooms and got to see the lights everyday from our room. The room was just stunning and worth every penny. Meals at the restaurant were also really amazing!!! Every dish was sublime. Staff were also lovely - shout out to Matthaus and Marius as well as the reception staff who were just lovely.
Cost of transfer from the ferry terminal to the hotel was exorbitant. On the website it says 'we can pick you up' but did not state specifically that this would come at a fee. This really should be stated. We had booked another lodge which stated they could pick us up and that was indeed free.

We stayed for 2 nights in August 2024 at the Sea House. The view was absolutely magnificent, but it was also the most expensive property we stayed out of 5 while visiting Lofoten/Senja. The quality of materials inside, the high end touch to everything, including the plates and silverware was immaculate. And the view was out of this world! We did Wildlife Safari boat ride through the hotel and enjoyed sauna and jacuzzi, plus swimming off the dock. Restaurant was a bit hit or miss. Breakfast was great! Proscuitto sandwich during lunch was amazing and a dinner one day was very yummy but the prior day dinner was not very good and the screaming unattended kids ruined the whole experience even more. Still, I would absolutely stay again.
Unattended screening kids in or around restaurant ruining the experience. Their parents were sitting and drinking outside in peace while the kids were inside screaming and running around with no adults in sight and management did not do anything.

Great service from employees.
At first, they assigned us a room that was subpar relative to my booking. Thankfully, they were able to reassign the room. I do NOT think that guests should have to pay an additional $100US/couple to use the hot tub. They are not even private. 4 tubs all next to each other in a public area with people walking around. This should be made clear when booking the hotel. The hot tubs are NOT included in your stay.

We stayed for two nights on route from Tromso to Lofoten. The accomodation was superb and very relaxing. We were off season, but really enjoyed the visit. We had an amazing morning on our first day when the weather was surprisingly warm and sunny. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definately recommend.
This is a very fussy point, but the menu choise at the restraunt could have been more varied. However, for context, the food we did have was really good.

The Property lies nestled in a little bay by the sea, its location is absolutely stunning. We went there during a Snowstorm with gale force winds. We felt save and it was cosy to watch from the inside. The food in the restaurant was great, the staff very friendly and always helpful. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. We also saw the northern lights :-)
They were testing a new heating control system. Although we were never cold, it was a bit difficult to keep a constant room temperature.

The accommodation was great, we lived in one of the black houses. At first we were given a flat in main building with two floors but it was old and not cozy, also with stairs to the bedroom which was not nice with a small kid. But the hotel team was good to change the accommodation for a nicer one, so we were finally happy. Also the breakfast was veeeeery nice, rich, and tasty. Salmon was great and hot bread.
