Senja has blown our minds! Such a beautiful place. We were the only guests staying there but still the owner (or maybe not the owner but the one who has made us feel so welcome) made sure that everything was taken care of. He cooked the meals himself (delicous!) and showed us the Norwegian way of life. Also he had the best tips for spotting the Nothern Lights and even got out the come find us one evening when the Northern Lights were so clearly visible in all their colours; one night to remember (i'm even getting emtional while writing this, an absolute bucket list moment). The setting of Senja Fjordhotell is absolutely great en idyllic.

The Senja Fjordhotel is a tucked away in the extreme south of the island on the shores of a small fjord. Its very modern as only built 5-6 years ago so was very comfortable with high end fittings. The room was plenty big for both of us and had a nice dual aspect view over the fjord and small boat jetty. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Its a small boutique type hotel and the staff vere very friendly and professional and gave some good tips on local activities. Breakfats each morning was excellent as was the evening dinner. The beauty of the location is that the only thing to do is enjoy nature, we got in some swims and hike in the national park so really enjoyed our three days there

We were there during a very hot period and the room got warm without central AC. We were able to open the window, use the fan and the automatic blinds also helped a lot so not uncomfortable. This is common in Norway and not a fault of the hotel as nobody expected such warm temperatures!

The hotel was very cosy and the rooms were comfortable. There was also a lounge room, which was very nice to enjoy the view! The food at dinner and breakfast was very fresh and delicious, hats off to the chef! The nature around though, is the true and main attraction, even with very snowy and windy conditions, the nature is just breathtaking. If you're lucky, you might even bump into a reindeer or two! I highly recommend staying.

Staff are super nice. Bf felt sick, and they provided lots of kind attention and help. The room is spacious and clean. Nice view from the room and hotel. close to the bus stop. Clear instruction on how to get there and local activities on their website. Remote from everything, so its nice to stay there to enjoy the nature or yourself.

inconvenient when traveling with public transportation.

We just loved this place. We stayed 5 nights in a corner room overlooking the small marina and the fjord. The room was super clean and the staff more than helpful and friendly. Their restaurant offers the best food you can possibly find on Senja. There is a supermarket and a self-service 24/7 petrol station just 5 minutes away.

If the main focus of your trip are the standard hiking trails on Senja, Segla etcetera, it is always a 60 to 90 minutes drive. But, actually, the south of the island also offers great hiking options. We even liked the landscape better down there.

There are no words to express the happiness we felt stayin at this hotel. The location and the surroundings are extraordinarly beautiful and quiet. The room was very clean, well equipt and super designed. The view from our room was amazing. All the personnel was very kind. The hotel is by all means the best choice on Senja island. I strongly recommend. Big hugs to the management team and to all the staff that made our stay so wonderful!

Everything was perfect.

So nice location, amazing view from the room, large windows, A lot of options food for breakfast, a-la-cart so delicious.. You can rent A boat for fishing or going with a guide.. So big surprise was, they have sauna and jacuzzi.. If i know that, i take with me a sweeming suite... You can sweem there in the sea.... Very nice place... Thank you, we will come back

Very kind staff, amazing food in the restaurant and really nice breakfast. The room was very clean. The location was great with a nice view. Big parking.

The room was a little bit cold and the heater was not working properly. But we informed the staff and they immediately tried to solve the problem. The told us that the thermostats were installed that day and they gave us a small heater. That solved the problem.

I had a wonderful stay here. The people were amazing. The owner showed me a beautiful hike and even gave me his dog to accompany me. Thank you again for your trust. We saw reindeers during the hike out in the wild. It was a wonderful unique experience. Breakfast was also very good and the area is beautiful.

Perfect location, quiet and remote. The restaurant was really good, they accommodated vegan option for us, and had really good wine. Staff was very polite and helpful. Will recommend this place to everyone, we also caught a glimpse of aurora borealis even when it was rainy.
