Very spacious apartment with comfy lounge chair and heated towel rack in the bathroom. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean from two sides. We drove from the apartment to the parking area and then walked across to the bird cliffs. The walking track is steep at first but mainly good. The puffins were amazing and we were able to see them up quite close at Lundeura! We visited in May. Should also note that the exhibition at the Opplev centre was worth a visit!

There was no freezer or microwave in the kitchen.

New, very well-equipped apartment! Amazing panorama from all apartments. The best price-value not even on Runde, but overall in Norway. Harder to find toilet-less small houses for the same price and this is amazing. It's the best place if you would go out to see puffins.

The apartment is well isolated for colder weather, so in summertime the air circulation feels a bit weak, but then you can open doors and windows to let fresh air in.

Very good, comfortable, big and beautiful apartment with sea view. Near the Haven and next to the Milieucentre. (Don't miss the film there). You can totally come to rest there and there is very fresh air to breed. For us as birdwachers a real paradise. From the balcony there are Gannets diving at sea at noon and all day you can see Shag on the little island in sea We could walk to the boat who lead us very near to the colony puffins, Gannets, Shag and Razorbills/Guillemts, wich you can see from de seeside. Also good place to stay for walks in the mountains of the island Runde where the special birds are. So very very recommending!

If you like soft beds, it is OK

There was breakfast? I didn't realize that. We bought our own groceries in town and brought them with us to make in the apartment. The coffee at the center was pretty good though! The accommodations were Scandinavian clean! Having a place to dump outwear and shoes was helpful since weather (and mud) can make for dirty clothes; no one wants to drag that inside. The kitchen had everything we needed although we missed a microwave to reheat leftovers. The appliances and kitchen gear (fridge, kettle, coffee maker, carafe, dish washer) were top of the line designer brand! The stove/oven was electric and fancy. The buttons were minimal so figuring it out should have been easy, but I trouble on the first day and couldn't get the stove top hot (we were rushing to make an appointment and didn't have enough time to try different things.) We figured it out the next day. The beds were very comfortable! Black out shades were much appreciated as our stay was close to the longest day of the year. The proximity of the center to the starting point to the hike to see birds was perfect. Each apartment has a spectacular ocean view as well. An easy walk (5 minutes) from the apartments to the marina is a plus. The center was well appointed and we enjoyed the exhibits, too. Everything was clean, well maintained and the views from the public spaces were just amazing! Lastly, the staff at Runde Miljøsenter & Opplev Runde is so very friendly (we spoke to 4 different people regarding different things)! They are friendly, knowledgeable about Runde and its wildlife (and more!), approachable and just plain helpful. I highly recommend a visit here!

I thought everything was great, honestly. My family enjoyed everything about our stay. I was impressed at the level a sustainability though the different bins for recycling had me a bit confused even though instructions were provided under the sink. I think there was a mismatch in description versus reality. I just wanted to recycle/dispose of things properly and not create more work for staff.

The location was great. Close to the water, nice view, not far from the hike to the bird cliffs. The staff was amazing - we had a few special requests while we were there and they kept helping us and wanting to do more and more to assist.

The curtains (like in all of the Nordics) don't seal out the light so there was a lot of light in the room from very early in the morning.

Great place if you are coming for birdwatching. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet. We had a lovely and relaxing stay. The hosts were super helpful. We enjoyed the fish soup!

The only issue was with the blinds... we wish there were blackout blinds/curtains.

We stayed two nights at the Center. The apartment was very nice, quite big, clean and well equipped. We enjoyed a nice terrace in front of the sea. We visited the center and found it really interesting, especially the film which is great ! Friendly and helpful staff. All in all, we really loved our stay on Runde Island !

The people. The view. The spaciousness and build quality of the property. The proximity to the birds. The peacefulness.

We were surprised that there were not basics like paper towels, salt and pepper, etc. Had we known that at the time of booking we could have planned our purchases better as we did have to stop for groceries on the way in. Grocers are not real close to the center. Also wish the bird exhibits would have been more accessible outside of the tour.

Best possible place to stay! We really loved it. Perfect apartment with best view. It was clean, big and modern. Nice and helpfull staff. Couldn’t be better! 😁

Would be good with something covering the bathroom window. But this is a minor issue.

This self-service apartment was a perfect base for our bird-watching and hiking adventures. It was nice to come back after a long day out to a spacious, clean apartment where we could cook our own food and relax.
