The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the bus stop (Moskenes Skole) to Å and Reine/Leknes and a grocery store. There is also a small coffee and cake shop with some breakfast and lunch options along the main road. There are also two great hikes starting just outside the hotel. The hosts were great and gave us many useful recommendations for hikes and sights around the area. The common kitchen and dining area are great places to meet other travellers. You can also do your washing in the washer/dryer.

We had a good time! Perhaps a microwave would be useful in the kitchen.

Fabulous place, we loved our stay here. Lovely owners and hosts. Shared kitchen and bathroom, all excellent quality and very clean. Kitchen is very large and extremely well stocked with practically everything you could need for self-catering. Free tea and coffee is provided. Large shared fridge/freezer space, dishwasher etc. Showers are amazing and good quality eco-friendly toiletries (body wash, shampoo/conditioner) are provided. Lovely shared lounge area for relaxation, with well stocked library. There was a sauna available to book, but we didn't use this. Very convenient for a number of local hikes - Munken can be hiked directly from the accommodation and is a stunning hike. Rooms are quiet and you don't really hear other people at all. Space to store luggage beneath beds and cupboard space. They also organise group mindful hikes, although we didn't sign up to these.

Hygge is a word commonly used in Norway when describing the coziness or warmth experienced and Lofoton Planet base camp has an abundance of it. From the moment you walk in especially on cold days, you are greated with house slippers and a cozy common area. We travelled with friends who have a toddler and the common area was awesome because it had a projector and plenty of space for her to play with her toys. All the other travelers were also so welcoming. And the owners from the moment we checked in were super attentive, even though we never had the opportunity to meet in person as we arrived late in the evening and departed very early.

Outstanding accommodation, so much effort put into the small details (welcome notes, information document, local information and organised hikes and experiences, local experts working there), as well as the overall space. Super clean, stylish, well equipped, with great hang out spaces and shared spaces. Large kitchen, plenty of bathrooms - I stay here every time I come to this end of Lofoten!

Everything was great! Great accomodation, clean, equipped, close to bust stop, close to shop, close to restaurant... Great staff Kasia and Marcin, they were very nice and helpfull. We use public transport, buses, so dowload their app Reis, it is very simple to buy a ticket and travel around to see nice nature and places...

Agata, one of the owners at Lofoten Planet Basecamp, was wonderfully helpful and very responsive to all of our questions during our stay. My wife and I initially arrived via ferry and then the local bus, but quickly realized that we would benefit from having a rental car to improve our flexibility in exploring the Lofoten area. The views from the property are amazing! Several trekking trails are located very close to the property, so no driving to the trailhead is required. There are two small grocery stores and a few restaurants within a short walking distance. The property itself was very clean including the common areas (shared kitchen and bathrooms). We really enjoyed that the owners requested no shoes to be worn inside the property, which definitely helps to keep the floors clean. There is a washing machine provided for guest use and laundry detergent was complimentary (it's so nice to not have to go purchase an entire box of detergent for just one load). The beds and pillows were very comfortable! Ground coffee was provided with a coffee machine in the shared kitchen. Private parking is available on-site. We would absolutely stay here again if we're in the area. Loved our stay!

The local bus schedule is quite limited (especially during weekends), so I would recommend that you plan to have a car rental during your stay, though this has nothing to do with this property specifically. Some of the bedrooms are a bit on the smaller side but the bed frames have extra storage under each side of the bed where you can store a full-size suitcase to reduce floor clutter, which we found very useful.

I recently stayed at Rate Lofoten Planet BaseCamp for a two-night getaway, and it was a memorable experience. The location was absolutely stunning, nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Lofoten. The cozy accommodations and friendly staff made me feel right at home.

Beautiful hostel, beautiful communal spaces, including big cozy living room, wonderful well-supplied communal kitchen and big table to eat, free washing and drying machine, and a balcony with great view. Staff - most helpful and nice!! The Twin room was so sweet and the beds comfortable. Plenty of parking space, and the bus stops 5 min away. Hiking trails around, 2 shops to buy food, and a few *** restaurants near by. I don't have enough words to describe how much we enjoyed staying here!!

Communal showers and WC - but they where always sparkling clean, and as we know in advance - we didn't really care.

Super homey and cozy, has great common spaces while rooms are private and quiet. Great location!! Close to plenty of incredible hikes. We watched the best sunrise just from the window of our room. The room was beautifully designed and very clean. Agata had a private dinner going on so she generously upgraded us to a room with private kitchen and bathroom. Wish we stayed for another night or two, could easily spend a whole week there(:

Really enjoyed my stay here! The host was super nice and welcoming. The place was very clean, and the self check-in process was smooth and easy. Shared bathroom and kitchen were well-maintained, and having free access to a washing machine was a big plus. Great spot for a comfortable stay in Lofoten.
