Picture perfect landscape, plenty of parking, friendly knowledgable staff, the sauna is fab (book for an hour private for 300NOK), rooms are very well insulated and modern, has fridge microwave coffee machine and plates/cutlery, location is perfect for anyone looking to hike some of the popular hikes in Lofoten

Beds were suuuuper soft, the door to the cabin is very heavy and slams on your ankles if you don’t hold it. If you want a view of the water you’ll want to request it- we didn’t realise ours wouldn’t have a view but we don’t mind we only really slept in there and were exploring the rest of the days.

Lofoten BaseCamp was a fantastic place to stay! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the start. The room was modern and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed, a water kettle, and even a microwave – perfect for a bit of convenience and flexibility. Everything was clean and thoughtfully designed. Yes, the price is on the higher side, but the quality of the accommodation and the peaceful setting absolutely justify it. A great blend of comfort, style, and functionality – highly recommended for your stay in the Lofoten!

The location is beautiful, incredible Mountain View’s , right by bright blue water. This is the only place I stay and n Lofoten. Every time I’ve stayed here I’ve seen the Northern Lights right at the hotel.

I am an Aurora guide and I love staying here but there are a lot of lights left on . For better Aurora viewing maybe turn off some of the lights around the hotel. Or recommend to all guest to turn their outdoor front and back porch lights off at night if they don’t need them.

It has beautiful view surrounding it. We managed to catch the northen light during our stay. The staff replied my message promptly and this is very helpful when we just arrived in Lofoten, Leknes airport.

We followed our GPS (google map) while driving to the place. I missed the first turn, then google map showed me another turn which at the end actually closer to our cabin. This turn wasnot mentioned prior to our arrival. Maybe a simple map on how to reach our villa/cabin might be useful? I booked 1 hour of sauna on the night we arrived. We arrived late and thought we wanted to see how the sauna looked like, but we found some people are inside using it and they had no idea we booked the sauna for that hour.

We were pleasantly surprised by how central this location was in Leknes and the cleanliness and facilities in the apartment. Very clean and snug for 6 pax, with an equipped kitchen (induction stove, pots pans etc). However to not there are no condiments and baking paper etc. Views from the apartment was great, we even caught some rainbows during our stay here. Tranquil area as well. Highly recommend!

The second story's rooms had slightly lower ceilings and had risk of us knocking our heads.

Great location. Mere 15 minutes from airport and supermarkets, yet quiet and idyllic with sweeping sea views. Functional, well equipped kitchen. We ate in both nights. Lovely to have dinner at the table with the sea just outside. Beautiful sauna. We had a great experience using it and then dipping in the freezing Norwegian sea before running back to the sauna to warm up again.

The two twin rooms on the 2nd floor have a sloping roof, so in both rooms, the bed on the sloping roof side can only be used by a small child as you would hit your head the moment you sit up. Not all cabins are equally furnished. We had 2 ocean view cabins, but only 1 of them had a microwave.

We were thrilled when we walked into our unit—it was large, with plenty of space for our family of four to spread out, and we had our own deck with stunning views. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved it, wish we had booked it for longer. The sauna was outstanding—great views from inside and located above the water for a cooling dip! When you book it, it’s private and it was the most reasonably priced of all saunas we booked in the Lofotens.

Owners are super super nice! Extremely hepful. Rolf is a great guy. I was going to Lofoten for landscape photography. Lofoten basecamp is perfectly located: 10 minutes ride to Uttakleiv and Haukland beaches, 20 minutes to Unstad, 20 minutes to Vik, Vitken, Ramberg, less than 30 minutes to Nusfjord. For grocery, wine and alcool or other supplies, you are 5 minutes from Leknes where you can find anything you need. Perfect spot to begin your photo trip.

We had a one bedroom appartment. It's a bit small but still very comfortable and very well thought off.

You can’t beat the view! We were so lucky as to see a couple of the small whales (nise) swim by while we were enjoying the beautiful sunrise. The layout was great, with one bedroom and bath downstairs and two more bedrooms and a second bath upstairs. It was really great to not have to go downstairs to use the restroom. Comfortable beds, never sat in the sofa. Everything we really neede in the kitchen, and super handy to have the chance to wash clothing.

Could have better furniture outdoors. The wooden bench and table were not so great. With so many bedrooms, it would have been great with at least a second drying rack for laundry as well as benches or stools to put luggage on so it need not sit on the floor.

Our deck overlooking the sea was amazing with deck chairs and was a very quiet spot. Our cabin had everything we needed to cook and do laundry, the bed was comfortable and WiFi good. Convenient to Leknes by car and the hike behind the property was great as a midnight sun hike! The sauna was awesome and we ended up booking twice.

No additional supplies except laundry detergent. There were no cooking basics like oil, tea, coffee, etc. No shampoo, conditioner or body wash. No bath mat. For the price, I’d expect these things. The bathroom looked at the parking lot, so I had to keep remembering to shut the curtains.
