We had a wonderful time at Eliassen Rorbuer. The location is absolutely stunning – breathtaking views and a truly beautiful, peaceful natural setting. Our Rorbuer was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s the perfect place to unwind and take in the magic of the Lofoten Islands.

The only downside was breakfast during the first two mornings. It felt quite hectic and seemed a bit understaffed. We had to wait about 45 minutes for the scrambled eggs at the buffet to be refilled, and several other items were also missing or took a long time to be restocked.

The staff was very nice and they helped us with the organisation and any issues we had. The surrounding is amazing, it is located in an incredible place. The accommodation was very warm.

We had a problem with the fire alarm. It went on 3 times and we weren't even showering nor cooking. In any case, the staff apologised in several occasions and they decided to take off the device to check it. So problem solved. The kitchen smelled a lot as if the previous guests had fried food with oil, it would have been nice if it was more ventilated. We open the windows to ventilate it several times but still it smelled quite strongly.

Amazing Stay at Eliassen Rorbuer! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an unforgettable stay at Eliassen Rorbuer! The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by breathtaking fjords and mountains. The cabins are cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for relaxing while enjoying the beautiful nature of Lofoten. Even without driving, we could easily walk around and admire the scenery. The staff was friendly and helpful, making check-in and our overall experience smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lofoten, especially if you want to experience a traditional fishing cabin with modern comforts. Hoping to come back again someday!

Our cabin’s location is amazing! We got the best view of the famous mountain and ocean with no obstacle. It is very beautiful! You can see the northern light even from both of the windows!! The hotel itself is already awesome with or without the northern light! I recommend u to walk to take a photo at the bridge to reine as well! The room is a nordic style with a proper decoration and well-equipped IKEA kitchen! The bed is comfy and the bathroom is also good. The hotel has free charging for electric cars which is a plus! I love how easy it is to drive to any other famous location from here using the E10 road. I definitely will come back again!

The hot water is only running for 7-9 mins. I think this might be common in Norway. The trick to make it run longer is to not turn the water on to the max. So, you can buy it sometimes if you staying with lots of people. When we first arrived to our cabin, there is still the trash inside the bin. So, we took the trash out and inform the reception. There is the rule about separating the trash and you have to took the trash out by yourself here. Obviously, the previous guest didn’t do that but the hotel should have checked too. Apart from this, everything is really awesome!

Great view and great kitchenette. They're cheese grater, whisk and even the peeler for beown cheese. And it's also happy to have some salt already in room. The room also equipped with a nice dish washer. Like the quiet location and the friendly staff.

The pillow is too low and soft for me, but with a firm mattress. Just don't like the tank style of hot water. I't's especially annoying when comming back in a windy raining day but still have to take a fast shower to avoid lacking of hot water.

A beautiful fisherman's cottage (rorbuer) in an exceptional location. It is a very beautiful place with stunning landscapes, perhaps one of the most photographed in Norway. Our cabin has even been featured on the cover of the National Geographic guide to Norway.

As it was an old cabin converted for use as a holiday home, some things were impractical (the kitchen was sub-optimal and the bathroom had an old heater), but the beauty of the cabin and the landscape made up for these minor inconveniences.

Eliassen is an iconic, picturesque stay largely depicted by photos you'll see everywhere - Google images, calendars and even the Norway tourism posters around the airport and booking centers. But even after getting there - it doesn't disappoint. It's every bit as gorgeous and you cannot stop looking outside your cottage. Inside, the cottage is futuristic & modern in every way - so you don't mind being cooped in for a night or two. Not a bad thing to say - amazing stay, location and staff

Little availability of food/restaurants around the property, but that's not Eliassen's fault - Hamnoy and neighboring areas are sparsely populated. Make sure you have a car at your disposal to travel further south or north as required

absolutely fantastic location and view from window.saw the Northern lights from both ends of apartment.clean . Had a wall- fold down bed in 'living room' under a large ceiling window und in front of the breathtaking wall to ceiling window.we moved all the bedding ( including mattress topper) from the bedroom on to this one. we were sleeping literally above the water.loved the floor heating in bathroom.the actual wall fold down bed is not the most comfortabe but has the best view ever.

like everywhere else we stayed in Norway, you had to download an app to get any information at all. next to no 'touristy' information come from receptionists who were mostly foreigners themselves.no brochueres, either, no tourist information anywhere.

Location was breathtaking. We came mainly to try and see the Nothern lights. We stayed 3 nights and was able to see the northern lights on the first 2 nights!!! Easy parking outside our cabin. Spacious and comfy. We didnt have the best of weather but cabin was nice and warm. There were fresh pastries available to buy at reception but we weren't aware of until later in our stay which was a little disappointing. Reception was nice enough to print out some train tickets for us for our next travels.

No complimentary tea, coffee or milk. There was a kitchen but no oil, salt, pepper, sugar supplied for cooking? We had an amazing big window view out to the sea and night sky that we loved sitting by, but faces out to a wrap around porch that was available to other cabins, bit awkward trying to enjoy the view and having other guest walk past and looking in. Couldn't figure out how to check out on the app. There were alot of useful things on their app, but reception did not mention when checking in, only found out when trying to check out.
