Absolutely loved the space…. Very simple and pristine… exactly what you need to view the northern lights without even trying. We could see it through the night within the comfort of our room… just please go for it. We drove there and carried a lot of our own food - our kitchen in our family room was adequate for anything we needed to cook. The family rooms can easily accommodate 5-6 ppl I feel.. also we tried their sauna and dip in the lake, while the lake is at least a 20 steps away from the sauna to jump in - it’s bang in the middle of snow clad mountains- so no complaints from us.

Lovingly decorated, with great attention to detail in every corner. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, complemented by a charming little sauna and a spacious, inviting outdoor seating area — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. Conveniently located near the E10, the main bus spine, which makes it easy to hop on and off and explore the region
The hostel is set in a beautiful natural location, but unfortunately, some bedrooms face the road and parking lot, which detracts from the experience. The common kitchen is also quite small for the number of guests — during my stay (at roughly 60% occupancy), it was difficult to find space to cook or sit during peak times. Additionally, the kitchen lacks any outside view, which makes it feel a bit enclosed.

This place has a nice spirit which is transported by many little details in and outside the rooms and also the staff. Beds are comfy, food options are good, the daily coffee flat-rate comes in very handy. There are several areas to rest, relax or work around the building inside and out. The lake is literally meters away. Thanks for this well rounded first Hostel experience of mine.

Good position of the hotel, the room was big and with a sink. The common toilets were clean and the showers too. I wish they could have a hairdryer in the toilet with the shower but it went ok even without it.
The common kitchen is small, 4-5 people in it and it’s difficult to move around. There are two refrigerator, two stoves for cooking and only one sink to wash the dishes. You need to hope it’s not a busy time when you want to go and cook some food!

SERIOUSLY, I LOVED EVERYTHING THIS HOSTEL HAD TO OFFER INCLUDING THE LAKE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PATH AND VIEWS TO DIE FOR. EVERYTHING WAS EASY.
Unfortunately, being closed season, the cafe was closed so it is important to take your own food and drinks. Arriving cold, tired and wet without being able to eat normal food, (bar a pot noodle) was not good, although this is being resolved as we speak.

Furu was the best place to go to. I spent 2 weeks there and would have stayed even longer if I could have ! The place is so cosy, the staff is very helpful and gives the place such a pleasant, joyful and fun atmosphere. It felt so bright even in these dark fall months. The beds are very comfy, the rooms are spacious and warm, it felt like home. The commun areas are great to meet new people or to take time to relax. Before getting there, I was afraid the kitchenette would be a problem but it never was. With a fridge, a microwave and a kettle you can actually make pretty much anything ! Also there is a hutt to cook food on the fire, which was very enjoyable. The hostel is very central in the Lofoten islands, it was pretty easy to go by car to great hikes and places. There is also a ton of activities accessible from the hostel (kayaking, biking, sauna...) even during the low season. Furu is this kind of place that has that very special vibe that makes you feel like you got to the right place. It will always have a special place in my heart.

Best hostel ever. Everything is great there, from the vibe to the staff and the surroundings. Would definitely stay there again.
Though the buses stop right in front of the hostel, there are not enough of them to explore the island properly. If you go south of Leknes in winter, there are no way to go back to the hostel after 13:00 except really late at night, which is far from ideal when most People just want to hike... That is obviously not the fault of the hostel though (which btw offers car rental service for those who can drive) but that's really frustrating.

Everything was by far more than I expected. You can really feel the love and passion the owner put in this hostel. Especially the details everywhere. It was so cozy and relaxing. I wish I could’ve stayed longer but already planning to come again next year. It felt like a far away home with the plus of a sauna with windows from where you could watch the Aurora in the evening. Also it’s well connected with the bus 300 - good to know for travellers without a car.
That I couldnt stay longer :(

Everything! This is seriously one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in and I am desperate to go back! It was so good I kept extending my stay. The beds are super comfy, the kitchen is huge and has so much stuff in it, you can do your washing as well. I absolutely loved the common rooms, with the lovely warm fire in the evenings, comfy sofas, so many board games, and all sorts of books from fiction to guidebooks on the area. I love that backpackers can sell their second hand clothes there, such a cool initiative! And then the outside... the super cute log cabin with a firepit and a sauna on the lake. Beautiful views and you can see the Northern Lights from a window, you don't even have to step outside. They have lots of equipment to borrow, I borrowed snowshoes and had a great time climbing a small mountain one day with some others from the hostel. There is a bus stop right outside on the "main road" that goes through Lofoten (it's pretty quiet).
The location is difficult if you don't have a car. I was there in winter and there are only a few buses a day, and these buses only follow one route straight along the main road. If you want to go to a lot of the beautiful locations that everyone recommends you can't by bus, at least in winter, because changing buses takes too long. But if there are people there with cars then you can try to get a lift like I did, or just make the most of where the buses can take you. I knew this location was going to be limiting before I went so this wasn't a deal breaker for me and I was more than happy with what I was able to get out and see whilst I was there and also just to chill at the beautiful hostel.

We loved the place!! It is by a beautiful lake, gorgeous scenery! Apartment was bigger than we were expecting, very clean and cozy. It has a very relaxed and easy going vibe. Such a lovely night and morning we spent there. We had breakfast (paid apart) and it was very good, staff was also very friendly and it is even possible to connect with other guests through a whatsapp group (even though we didnt I thought it is a great idea if you are traveling alone and would like to meet other people) We definitely recommend staying here and would for sure come back :)
I thought the location was kind of in the middle of nowhere, I don´t think I would stay here if I didn´t have a car. Kitchen was a bit outdated and it seemed like the freezer was broken it had everything we needed (except for a dish washer)
