Short walk to town, across the road from Hurtigruten, so great location. Quick check in, friendly staff. Room was roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - plenty of tables and great variety of food. Loved the foyer where you could sit and relax in comfortable chairs and have a coffee (included). And to make our stay even better, we saw the northern lights outside the front door of the hotel!

confusion on check in as you have 2 thon hotels - Thon Lofoten & Thon Svolvaer (by mistake we checked in at lofoten but had booking at Thon Solvaer - increase nbr of electric chargers for cars in parking if possible - all in use at end of the aftrenoon -Bfast - pancakes & waffles at bfast in smaller quantities and replace regular with fresh/warm waffles - out of fresh oranges on last day - should keep bigger stock and little bit more fresh fruit (like kiwi s /banana s for example would make the experience a 10 +

We had to leave the hotel 5:30am to go the airport. It was too early to have breakfast. Hotel however prepared two breakfast packages on the go for us. It was very sweet. Breakfast pack has bread roll, fruit, yogurt and bottle of water. That's was very thoughtful. BTW, pizza from the hotel restaurant is must try. Highly recommend this hotel

On a general note a very nice hotell with good service and friendly atmosphere on a beautiful location.

They should have had a separate concierge desk and not only a front desk and maybe a small giftshop for coffee table books etc. A bit boaring with a gym, for eg. a squash court would have been more interesting. Rather dusty on the carpeting in the corridors. And after a couple of nights one got a bit boared of the same set dinner meny, a la’carte to set your own meny with more seafood options would have been appreciated.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Stay at Thon Hotel Svolvær! I had a fantastic stay at Thon Hotel Svolvær! The location is perfect, right by the harbor, offering breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding mountains. Waking up to such a stunning view was truly unforgettable. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. The bed was soft and cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The bathroom was well-equipped, with excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. The overall design of the room made it feel both stylish and welcoming. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of fresh options, including bread, smoked salmon, local specialties, and a great selection of drinks. Enjoying breakfast while overlooking the beautiful harbor was a highlight of my stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were always ready to help with recommendations and any requests. Their warm hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Thon Hotel Svolvær. From the beautiful location to the excellent service, everything exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Svolvær!

Normal Thon hotel standards of cleanliness and comfort. The reception staff were amazing, so helpful when my ferry was cancelled, helping me sort out alternative transport, booking my flight to Bodo and getting me a taxi to the airport. It is very close to the Krigsminne Museum, a fascinating place if you have even a passing interest in WWII. There are also 2 respected art galleries nearby but they were both shut when I was there.

The constant piped music was dire, not fit for lift or 'hold' music let alone a hotel lounge. The dining room was closed for a large group booking, which as far as I know didn't turn up. There are, however, plenty of other places to eat in Svolvaer; I recommend Bacalao. This is the newer of the 2 Thon hotels in Svolvaer but I think I would have been happier in the other one, much more cosy feel to it.

The room was spacious and great space to hang things up and places to put luggage. Free coffee espresso cappuccino tea and water in the lobby, free water in the gym on the 2nd floor. Location is super close to the ferry terminal and the main square where boat trips are sold, reindeer and whale and moose meat is sold, the traveller's information booth is and plenty of restaurants, gift shops and convenient store. Staff was amazing and helpful to so many traveller's. The breakfast buffet was absolutely incredible - anything u could think of was there with dairy and gluten free options as well. Amazing !

Having a laundry room would make this stay extra amazing, but it seems that Norway hotels tend to have their linens shipped out for cleaning. Therefore, laundry in hotels seems rare. However, hand washing clothes in the sink and hanging to dry is an option, and there was plenty of space and places to hang clothes to drip dry. There is an individual item cleaning service, but it is quite pricey - not ideal for someone who is traveling for an extended period of time and wants to wash a big bulk of clothes. My Havila coastal expedition ship does have a laundry room, though, so I just waited to board ship to do my laundry and hand washed a few items in the sink at this hotel to tide me over.

Arrived 8/23/24 from Narvik via the Artic Bus. The last stop was right in front of the hotel, so convenient! Check-in,check-out was super easy, room was spacious and tastefully decorated, beds and pillows VERY comfortable. Location is within walking distance to everything, but Svolvaer is small anyway. THE BREAKFAST!!!! Wonderful and complete. One of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. You may want to skip lunch afterward!

Modern, well designed, comfortable. Outstanding breakfast. Was given an upgrade to room with harbour view without asking (maybe because it was low season). Polite staff. 24/7 desk. Nice restaurant and lounge.

Was a bit stressed I wouldn’t get a park. I did; but even in low season (October) it seemed like there were nowhere near enough parking spaces. It wasn’t too bad, but some minor noise issues. Note that restaurant and almost everything including supermarkets in town are closed on Sundays. Fellini’s was a good open pizza place.

Great location and view. Pizza and food were fantastic. Waitstaff was friendly one of the two nights (thanks, Ayoub)! Sauna was fantastic (but it's an additional cost).

We left our towels in the sauna, and they didn't replace them for us the next day in our rooms. The sauna was fantastic, but if you're staying in the hotel, you shouldn't have to pay or pay a heavily reduced rate. The conceiege and waitstaff were not friendly, unhelpful, rude, and ignored us (again, thank you, Ayoub).
