Beautiful location at the end of the quaint village of Henningsvær. The views from the kitchen/dining area directly on the water were fantastic (like staying in a boat). We enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna by the pier (and we appreciated the kid's discount).

It's hard to climb up to the second floor and to bring all the luggage up. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. The rooms are very small and they don't have proper dark screens for the light. It was very hard to get the kids to sleep and to fall asleep ourselves. It would have been nice to get some coffee in the room.

The Henningsvaer Rorbuer are wonderful as you get to stay in a historic cabin that has been very nicely renovated to provide all the modern facilities you need. We were very lucky to have cabin 15 that had a huge waterside deck with table and chairs, where we sat on a sunny day and had a drink while chatting to our Norwegian neighbours. The cabins are relatively small so probably better for a night or two rather than an extended stay. It had a nice shower, a small fridge and comfortable beds.

Some of the doors squeaked so please put some WD40 on the hinges. Otherwise we loved our little cabin.

we absolutely loved staying here! the cabin was cozy, beautiful, and clean. it had all the amenities we would need, which was useful since we traveled to Henningsvær in the low season and so we often needed to buy groceries rather than go to a restaurant. since we were there in December, the reception wasn’t open and some of the facilities weren’t accessible, but that was fine since we were traveling the islands and didn’t spend much time there in the day. the owner was available by phone and let us in the property with no trouble. we were very grateful! we loved staying here and would absolutely do it again!

Beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding little islands from the kitchen window. Comfortable beds. Had a good night sleep. We were there during on a very stormy night but you would never know it because the house is quiet and solidly built. Parking is easy. Staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. Very clean. Historic building with modern ammenities. Staying there was one of the highlights of our trip.

The unit we stayed in was on the 2nd floor. Be aware that the stairs going up to the flat are quite steep and narrow. Wasn't a problem for us, but getting your luggage up might be challenging for some. If that is a concern, double check the location of your unit.

love the original rorbuers with renovated interior. it is equipped with everything you can think of. great location-you can walk to anywhere including the soccer filed. we parked our car the whole time we stayed in Henningsvar. host (andrea) was easily communicated via Whatsapp and greeted us in person at arrival. very satisfied with our choice.

bathroom in the room could be too small if guests is to full capacity. could be hard to move around. which frig could be a bit bigger but it's a small rorbuer after all.

The location is absolutely great, about a 10 minute stroll into town with museums, shops and restaurants. It’s quiet and gorgeous around. Andrea messaged me before hand and asked about our arrival time, she told us the cabin number we were staying at and left the key inside, which made the whole check in process after a long journey so easy. The cabin was super warm and cosy, had everything one needs for cooking, even filters for coffee machine and an hoover. Fantastic place, would love to return!

Beautiful view from the small kitchen-dining room and we were able to watch the houses on the other side of the water get lit up when the sun shone on them at midnight. Small, separate bedroom with no room for bags. It was dark enough though, and we slept soundly. Plenty of parking. An easy walk to the famous football field nearby, and into town.

Separate entry area with hanging space, hooks, and a set of drawers, but it seemed awkward to have to leave the bedroom when needing a change of clothes. There was nowhere to store toiletry bags in the bathroom. There was no TV which is always nice if the weather isn't good.

The place itself is amazing. Houses, rooms and the position is something really unique. I’d love to come back and spend a month in that place. The host is, always ready to reply to questions and give suggestions.

It is difficult to say, but the only thing that was missing and they are already working to resolve it is the lack of cafeteria / restaurant. You have to walk 10 minutes for the restaurant and without car and under the rain was annoying. But as I said they are renovating to provide new services.

Really nice guy that checked us in, very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Location was good, nice and quiet. Cabin was cosy, smaller than we expected but ok for a couple of nights. Good to have parking next to the cabin.

Henningsvaer would be crazy in the busy season, parking in town would be virtually impossible . The town is a little overrated and a bit rundown and grotty in some parts.

We loved the experience in the typical red Norwegian houses. It had a very cute rustical vibe. It had all the amenities one could need and the sunrises and the sunset are amazing from this place.

We had a problem with the key as it didn’t work properly and we needed a lot of patience in order to close the door. Also when we were there the jacuzzi didn’t work so we couldn’t use that. All in all this accommodation is still worth it, as we got to experience the typical houses.
