I recommend it to all lovers of Lofoten. The cottages are wonderful, extremely comfortable and fashionably furnished. Perfect for a family with children or a group of friends. It was wonderful to sit on the terrace at midnight in silence and stare at the water and the surrounding peaks. The cottages have all the amenities, including a dishwasher. The cottages are clean and warm. There is a convenient parking lot next to the cottages. The advantage of this place is delicious breakfasts. The service is very polite and helpful. It was also important for us that there are pet-friendly rooms. I will definitely come back to this place and I will recommend it to all my friends.

Arriving late was no issue – the key was waiting for me in a secured box with clear instructions on how to find the cabin. The entire check-in process was simple and calm. The location? Breathtaking. The red rorbu cabin stood by the water, beautifully renovated, modern, and warm. That night, I opened a bottle of champagne and fell asleep like a baby. In the morning, I explored the nearby village of Å, where I sent a few real paper postcards – the kind with stamps, ink, and addresses, not just ones and zeros 😉 Later, I climbed the nearby mountain you recommended, and the view from the top left me completely speechless. Thank you for the tip – it was unforgettable.

Absolutely nothing – everything was perfect, peaceful, and beautifully arranged.

The room was very spacious and the kitchen was well equipped with a good range of utensils and cookware. The cook top was also able to heat things quickly.

The location was a bit tricky to walk (down) to, especially when carrying multiple heavy pieces of luggage down hill, in the cold, dark and icing ground - Cabin 16. I needed to wear micro spikes to be save as the driveway was steep but very narrow from the parking down to the room. The door also needs something to prevent it from slamming due to windy conditions as the hinge is going to break sooner or later due to wear and tear.

Nice cabin with a view on the little harbour, with a new kitchen where induction hob, pots, dishes and cutlery were present. Welcoming staff, who provided us with useful instructions to reach the cabin that was not in the same location of the reception. It is very close to Moskenes port, in a strategic location for those who need to take the first ferry in the morning.

When we arrived the heating was turned off, it was really cold in the cabin and it took more than 3 hours to warm the cabin up. Of course mistakes can happen, but for the price we paid, we did not expect such an issue to occur. A little annoying cross selling approach was maintained even after check in was completed. Generally speaking, it is a little bit overpriced compared to similar accomodation in Lofoten islands we went to.

We needed to find a place to stay last minute during our trip to the Lofoten Islands. Booking was easy and The Tide did not disappoint! We left our lodging early because the accommodations were less than we were comfortable with and The Tide turned the trip around! The waterfront cabin was the typical Lofoten fishermen’s cabin, picturesque, clean and had everything you could want/need. The main building was an added bonus as we had a great dinner and the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. Even better we were able to catch the Northern Lights right from our cabin! Our only regret was not booking The Tide from the start.

We really enjoyed staying in the property - it felt very authentic, was centrally located for most of the walks in the Reine region and had beautiful views from the sunny terrace on the water. Although there were a few other properties around, we felt very secluded. We also really enjoyed the hotel restaurant and the fact that there was a supermarket so close by.

As others have noted, it is a short drive between the hotel reception and cabins (which is no problem if you have a car). I also noted that the toilet flush system was a bit temperamental, but not a big issue.

The apartment had nice views over the harbor and a good sized balcony. The rooms were nicely decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the hustle and bustle on the harbor and the close by restaurant. Beds were also comfortable and service at the hotel was friendly.

For a light sleeper, this apartment wouldn't be the best fit. The harbor is located just outside the balcony and the boats leaving the harbor early cause some noice. The apartment also gets really hot during the day, but that can be easily solved by opening the doors and windows. The fresh sea air cools it down in no time.

I had one of the cabins down by the water, on the south-east-facing shore. These cabins are really well furnished, with a fully functioning kitchen, nice couch and seating area and comfortable bed. They're great for self-sufficient traveling, as the supermarket is located a 5 minute walk away. The view from the hut onto the harbor is also very nice - provided the weather is nice, of course.

A cupboard for clothing in the cabin would be nice, as well as a heater for hanging up damp clothing in the bathroom. I had to dry my drenched clothes on the heated floor, which was okay but not ideal.

Location was stunning. Lady at reception very helpful and friendly. Restaurant for dinner was very good

Smallish bathroom with very outdated shower, but it was actually quite good in the end. More room to put toiletries would have been nice. This may be a cultural thing, but no toaster in the kitchen was a shame

Beautiful and cozy cabin with a nice view and good facilities

We specifically chose this over other properties because of its location and the fact that it was supposed to be1 min away from the bus stop. However, when we arrived, we were sent to the cabin that was on the other side of the bay (a little over 15min walk). Normally I would not mind this, but we were extremely tired after our hike and only had a short stay before the bus the next day early morning, so the fact that we had to walk with our heavy bags there was not great, and also meant that we had to get up even earlier the next day.
