Clean room; comfortable bed; great a/c; nearby supermarket; close to subway station; curtains block light well; decent buffet.

The faucet was not spraying normal, and water was spraying out of the sink; On my final morning of departure, there was no hot water coming out of the sink/shower, and no explanation by the staff for this; although the buffet is from 7-10, they refuse to replenish the juice after it runs out ~9am. Likewise I saw this when they ran out of fruit at 9:30; I did see an ant and ~8 very small cockroaches over the course of my 5 night stay.

Wifi was generally very reliable and suitable for teleconferences. The rooftop terrace was my usual work hang-out with my laptop (no power plugs, but comfortable breeze keeps the temp down). There were five breakfast choices, and the one I typically had was filling. Across the street is a huge megastore with groceries, clothes, and whatever else you might need to buy. Stairway access to all floors -- my morning work out was stair climbing 11 stories from the breakfast restaurant to my room (yes, there are also two lifts for the slothful).

Fixtures are old (but are kept in good shape). Often not enough hot water to shower at peak usage times (like, 8am), so adjust your morning to water availability. The rooms lack a refrigerator, so you are constantly refilling an ice bucket if you have perishable groceries that need to be kept cool.

The property is close to all you need. Near to places like Metro station, Bus stops, fast food, supermarkets, restaurants, fire department, police department and you can get taxi right in front of the hotel. The staff was wonderful, I speak no Spanish and was able to still enjoy my stay.

From the look of the entrance I thought I was at the wrong place and wanted to turn back. the lobby needs some working on interns of appearance.

As always food good , staff excellent , efficient and very friendly ,like family especially the barman on the roof bar-restaurant .

This is the first time we find it necessary to make a criticism but the girl who works sometimes on the roof bar restaurant is the worst bartender we have come across . She sits at the end of the bar eating,drinking and chatting to friends ,ignoring any customers that sit down at a table . One lunchtime we sat at a table for 15 minutes trying to catch her attention without success as she continued chatting to her friend . Eventually we left and ate outside the hotel . It is such a shame as the barman who also works there is so good and it reached the stage that we would look to see who was working before deciding whether or not to eat there .We just thought you should know as I am sure we are not the only clients experiencing this bad service . Fantastic swimming pool in a rooftop. Nice bar there as well. Underground parking - safe and easy solution.

I booked a room for 2 adults znd 2 children (4 and 1 years old) but got only 2 towels and 2 breakfasts. Since the breakfast was a la carte, there was no option to pick up anything more. I claimed it but they didn't agree. It was very disappointing, since especially the older child is eating normally, as adults. The younger one can get something small from our plates. Breakfast was tasty, but rather small and not enough for us.

This place was well worth the value! Breakfast included, rooftop bar and pool with a great view! We loved it and will definitely be back. It was close to the Downtown waterfront only a 10ish minute walk away.

If you're looking for a Marriott Level experience, this is not the place. But for Budget travelling it was great! Just don't have high, unrealistic expectations. The area around the hotel may not be considered safe but we made sure to walk toward the water front in the day and use uber whenever we were out at night. An uber driver warned us not to walk around at night.

The location was great.The staff was very helpful.thumbs up to you all for you kind hospitality especially these two male staff sorry I can't remember your names always present when I am needed to ask questions they make sure that I was comfortable .oh the view of the city was amazing I just like it. The breakfast was good. I bought fish dinner from the restaurant it was delicious.

Oh the long wait on the elevator but with understanding it was only one in use. Also on my last night no Internet service in my room I got it back like 7:30 the morning.but that was about it

Everything was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived too early to check in, so they stored our luggage while we went across the street to the supermarket to shop. On our return we found the room was clean and comfortable. Cold A/C, and hot water. We even got the refrigerator that we requested. The rooftop restaurant was superb, a delicious dinner was enjoyed at sunset. The next morning 's free breakfast in a banquet room, was a buffet, and just as good as dinner. At our check out Weber the door man came to our room, and carted all our luggage, and boxes of food items down to our waiting vehicle and helped the driver load up. This Hotel Caribe is definitely worth the price of admission.

The room was comfortable with a large bed, clean towels, there were good city views from the rooftop. It looked old, but we had a very good rest and are thankful for that. Wifi worked well. A large supermarket just around the corner. The price was around 38 USD when we booked around 3 weeks in advance, but jumped to 55 USD when we were looking to book again for our last night in the city just a few days prior.

The staff at check in did not inform us about breakfast and we only later realized it was included in the price.

Room air-conditioning wasn't really working and TV couldn't connect to the internet. The manager changed our room for a bigger one with working air-conditioning and TV.Beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. Breakfasts are good but rationed.I would stay again.

One of two elevators wasn't working(bit of waiting because of that), but they were working on it for a few days.
