Stunning property and exceptionally clean, wonderful friendly staff who went out of their way to help! Erick at the beach club and Carlos at the restaurant were exceptional! Every person working at Buenaventura felt like a friend and were so kind and I can’t imagine any complaints about this hotel or staff!!! The hotel was very quiet right after the protests, so can’t imagine how difficult it is to deliver such quality when the workers are still working to move back to the area, but every meal was exceptional and every staff member was fantastic. We loved the choice for restaurants, pools, even great room service. The hotel shuttle took us many places and the amenities in the Buenaventura community were wonderful. The zoo was incredible! We expected only a few animals but it had so much! The onsite deli/coffee bar/ grocery and convenience store were great. The food was very reasonably priced. We traveled with a 6 and a 14 year old and will be back!!

Wonderful hotel full of beautiful corners, surrounded by nature at every turn. The dinner menu at the hotel restaurant "Criollo" was outstanding, as well as the experience at night at the "El Faro" beach club. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful.

The room was wonderful, but we would've appreciated some basic toiletries (shower cap, sewing kit, etc.), and some slippers. The water in the bathroom was lukewarm at best. Even after maintenance came and checked on it, it was said nothing else could be done. It was ok after a warm day at the pool, but not enough to enjoy a hot bath in the bathtub. Not enough to ruin our great overall experience, just knit picking!

I love the comfortable bed and pillows, nice view of the pool etc.

At 2 A.M i was awaken by a noise. I was in the 3rd floor. below there were people dancing and talking in a very high voice. I was in the 3rd floor and with my doors closed and it woke me up. I can't not reach the reception. I took a video of the whole thing and i started thinking that the behavior of the people at 2 am in the outside below me was not acceptable in the kind of hotel I was staying and made me very sad. Maybe the standards for Buenaventura are relax now. I stayed before and i never encounter that kind of behavior on any guest before. I can see from above the security man were just looking at the small noisy crowd and they didn't say anything to them

Great hotel with many pools for the kids to enjoy, specially the ones close to the beach. The food in the criollo restaurant is really good and fresh. Very nice breakfast too. It was great that bicycles were available free of charge for guests.

Some of the bicycles were damaged and not working at all, better maintenance should be done. We reserved a baby bed way ahead of time and got a confirmation but when we got there there was no baby bed available and the focus from the hotel staff was to find excuses and reasoning for the failure rather than trying to find a solution for the problem. Fortunately a solution was found after we promptly asked the staff to focus on finding a solution which ended up being the addition of an extra bed to our bedroom.

This is all honesty the best place in Panama, no other beach compares to Buenaventura, it's worth every single penny. I booked this as a birthday gift for my girlfriend, and it exceeded our expectations. The room we booked had direct view to the pool and it was gorgeous. Food was great, many things to do in the area, extremely friendly staff. All perfect, which is rare for Panama.

Nothing bad, in all honesty everything was perfect.

It was our first family stay at the beautiful hotel and I’m sure it will not be the last. Everything from the rooms to the pool and beach was great. Even the dinner at the beach restaurant of the hotel was excellent and everyone including our kids found something he liked.

What was somehow strange was, given the overall price of the hotel, that you still need to pay extra for a cappuccino or expresso at breakfast ….

Our suite was very nice and comfortable. The view was great! Buenaventura is such a wonderful place, we were amazed by the nature, the people, the food, all the activities there are to do… everything! We will definitely come back!

Only the shower was not great.

pool area. nature around the hotel. breakfast was amazing. we could do early check-in as room was available.

zoo was not included. bathtub did not work, so I had to called maintenance to fix. hotel didn't have bubblebath soap, not even for sale. frontdesk did not explain all the activities and schedules for our stay. the beach seems to be dragged out, so its not friendly for wheelchairs.

Facilities, pool, cleanliness, everything you need in the hotel. Very complete hotel.

Dinner in Criollo restaurant is too expensive for what it’s offered. 25 dollars for a very small fish, tiny white needles (everything is tiny except the buffet breakfast). It’s a disaster. You can have a much better dinner in the restaurant that is near the beach and pools, as food costs the same but offers WAY better and more quantity for what you pay.

It's a great location in a great place, specially for families. The pool area and the beach are certainly the main assets.

The whole place is in need of an update, specially the gym is very much outdated. Even if we asked for an early check-in it was now the second time that the room was not ready at the regular check-in time 3pm.
