The place is beautiful with a friendly helpful staff. We rented a suite and it was larger than most apartments.. Huge bathroom and shower, a sitting area with sofa, table, chairs, armoire, mini-fridge, coffee maker and coffee..Wi-fi was lightning fast in the room as well as the lobby.. nice secure area for our motorcycle the staff even loaned me a screwdriver to fix the battery on my bike..There is a mall less than 100 meters away as well as a Jollibee..

Just a couple of things that is really not the fault of the property .. There is major demolition going on directly beside the place, so for now expect to hear jackhammers and dump trucks at daylight..The intersection in the front is a little complicated if there is no traffic personnel there... The other - From what I can tell the food for the restaurant is catered by a restaurant next door.. Many items on the menu are not available for breakfast..For room service it was the same story , no availability.. he food that we did get was just awful and I mean AWFUL...Thankfully there is a Jollibee just a block away...

The Grand Dame Hotel was a calming oasis nestled in the middle of the busy and sometimes chaotic area of Lapaz, Iloilo. The staff were always helpful and followed up requests quickly. The building is a classic design and although it isn’t new it has been well maintained and because the furnishings are of a good quality they have stood the rest of time. Very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

As a tourist it would have been helpful to have information on hand about sightseeing. Having said that the staff were helpful when asked.

Surroundings, not the best in Iloilo. Very poor and dark surroundings, nothing to do in the evening or at night. Not dangerous as it seam (pretty dark). Had Batchoy at mini restaurant late at night just in front of hotel and had a beer in a very little bar with natives spending their evening. Very very nice and friendly persons. Day time is fine as there is the market and a Mall at walking distance. There is a huge construction going on, so a bit noisy in the morning. Beware to the non smoking ban on most of the streets in Iloilo. Air is very polluted (and water and so on) but don't dare to smoke, you'll be fined.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Dame. It's a classic place with features that I don't find in most other newer properties. The entire staff was super helpful and friendly. Next time I'm in Iloilo I will be staying at the Grand Dame.

Disappointed that the hotel restaurant, Emilion, was closed during my stay. The reviews were excellent and I was looking forward to eating there.

Loved the balcony— seeing the cityscape in the morning and evenings made the stay great! Loved the welcoming dark-wood furniture with the spacious large airy space, and clean bathroom. Enjoyed the warm shower and comfortable bed after a day of sightseeing. Will come back.

No gym or pool, but not a big deal.

The place is very comfortable and clean and the location is very convenient and accessible. There's JD bakeshop at the ground floor, across is the La Paz Public Market for fresh fruits, the original la paz batchoy, 80-yr old traditional coffee at Madge cafe. Nearby is mercury drug for pharmacy and essentials, and Robinsons mall, SM City Iloilo, and Festive Mall is a short ride/drive away. Great wifi too! Some of us had to work remotely and there was no problem attending meetings and sending files over.

Size of our room exceeds our expectation. Kind support of the staff in guiding us what places to visit in Iloilo is exceptional. Location is best in tasting the original La Paz batchoy and visit to Faro Cathedral.

Entrance is block by vehicles , might be a temporary constraint due to the construction of the market.

Of all the hotel I visited and stayed. This hotel is exceptional and I am happy to stay here. One thing I like the most is the staffs, all of them are very welcoming, kind and helpful. I really like their service and I am really happy that my partner proposed here in this hotel. That place is very remarkable and if I will be visiting IloIlo again, I will definitely going back to this hotel. All of the toiletries is available, applicances are working and also, they gave us hotel slippers in which other hotel cannot give for free. I am really happy.

Breakfast was great in that we were given choices and it was a hot meal that was cooked prior to serving. The dining staff was very attentive

The breakfast drink was labeled juice when in fact it was sweet tea. I was disappointed because I like actual juice for breakfast. The real juice was for sale.

Travelled for family vacation. Hotel is located in the center where public markets, shopping malls, restaurants, etc. are nearby. Bellman and housekeeping are very accommodating to our requests. Room view was also great where the whole city was visible.

There was a maintenance ongoing during our stay. Repair guys were outside the balcony painting and doing stuff. Room smelled a little bit of paint and noise from repair was there during the day. We were also asked about 1 face towel upon check-out that was apparently "lost" from one of the rooms that we rented, but after we asked HK to double check the room, it was found inside the bathroom. Could have done a thorough check before asking the guests though.
