We love views.. refreshing and overlooking to the sea.. the sea breeze and the fresh air is so amazing during our stay.. very nice people and very accommodating.. highly recommended and we love to go back there again.. We meet good friends from other country too specially during eating time.. we can talk with the beautiful smiles from the guests and the crew itself..very approachable and understandings.. so far it was a very nice stay and very unforgettable.. Thank you so much ❤️💜💙

Just the road/way going in the hotel/place it was struggling to the taxi and to the guest as well.. hopefully soon they can fix the road for the convenience and satisfaction of the guest and to have more lovely guest in the future.

We spent a few days here and overall, we are very satisfied! The staff is fantastic – extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to answer any questions. The food at the restaurant on the second-to-last floor is simply amazing, and you can also go up to the rooftop terrace to enjoy a beautiful view of the city. The rooms are comfortable, the beds are very cozy, and the bedding is soft and pleasant – we slept like babies! Another great advantage is the excellent snorkeling spot right next to the hotel. If you don’t have your own gear, you can rent a mask and water shoes, which is a big plus. I also highly recommend the massages – they are amazing! And the prices – very reasonable for the quality of service you get. Why did I give 10/10? My actual rating would be a bit lower, but I’m giving the highest score to help raise the hotel’s overall rating – they truly deserve more than they currently have! This is a great place that only needs a little refresh to make an even better impression.

The hotel doesn’t need a full renovation, but it could definitely use a fresh coat of paint and some reorganization, as the first impression can feel a bit chaotic. The bathrooms should also be cleaned more thoroughly – both of our rooms had black stains in the shower, and one had an unpleasant smell. As for the road – yes, the hotel is far from the city center, and you have to drive through a private road, but it’s not as bad as some reviews suggest. Honestly, there are much worse roads in the Philippines, so there’s nothing to worry about.

Rooms facing sea offer a stunning view! The areas with hammocks are also very inviting, and we liked the care given to decoration.

The hotel is unfortunately located in a quite inhospitable environment. There is 500 m of very bad road to reach it (can't even walk it if it has been raining), and surrounded by private properties: no option to stroll around. We could not find any other public beach, restaurant or bar around.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. Each meal was expertly prepared, and the flavors were outstanding—definitely a highlight of the trip. The diving experience was also top-notch. The staff were incredibly professional, ensuring safety while offering excellent guidance. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced diver, the dive instructors are knowledgeable and make the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and top-tier diving!

The rooms could benefit from better soundproofing.

After our business trip, my wife and I treated ourselves to 3 days off and it was definitely too short, unfortunately we had to move on. But these 3 days were an absolute dream for the soul. The room was very, very good and the view fantastic. The staff were very friendly and very good, a wonderful team, no wish was left unfulfilled. Even though the beach is rather small, it is perfect and even if you don't go there to dive, it is worth every minute. You can get snorkelling equipment or a stand up paddle board at any time and of course for free. The water is crystal clear and there is a lot to see, even close to the beach. There are no hidden prices and all prices are more than fair. The food in the hotel in its own little bar or in the restaurant is very good, no matter what you eat, everything tastes on point. Unfortunately, the location is a bit far away from the nearest small town or supermarket, but for those who want peace and quiet and want to escape from everyday life, the location is perfect. And of course, the hotel also has a pool that, at 4 meters deep, deviates from the Philippine standard. And last but not least, the Sugarsea Inn is worth a trip or a stay, and we will definitely return with more time.

There is basically nothing what we didn’t like.

The property is Beach front with all the comfort you can ask for an island get away. It is very peaceful and a little secluded. The room is clean but a little cramped. The view is awesome. Food is decent and we had free daily breakfast for our entire stay. The staff are always courteous and helpful. This is a dive shop that offers a lot of activities for divers and non divers, some are free and some with a decent fee. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to come back, this time we will try the water activities.

There is no elevator to reach upper level floors but they have people that move your luggages. The property is in a private road that is unpaved so it is difficult for vehicles to come pick you up. It also gets pretty muddy when it rains. There is no other restaurant in the area except for the hotel’s so food is limited.

We recently stayed for 4 dives at this wonderful Dive Shop & Resort and absolutely enjoyed our time there. The location is fantastic—every divesite you expect, from the diveshop, is just a min by speed boat. The area is very safe and conveniently close to the beach. If you're looking to explore more of the mactan island, renting a tricycle or motorcycle is super easy and makes getting around a breeze. The room was clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning and a spotless bathroom. The only minor downside was the loud music in weekend due to nearby parties, but it didn’t detract too much from our overall experience.

The food is amazing, no need to go offsite to get food nothing that I had was bad I recommend the special spicy pork belly with garlic sauce 😋. Great staff, always willing to go above and beyond for the guests. When we booked our stay I had my girlfriend go in the night before and the following day the driver couldn't make it to get me from the airport, so the owner of the resort took my girlfriend to come and get me. Great owners and it shows in the staff's attitude. Quiet and nice facility. Great rooms with beautiful views. They have island hopping right from the resort, jet ski rental, para sailing and you can learn how to scuba dive in the beautiful pool. Then take you out in the resorts boat to dive. I truly can't say enough good things about our experience. If you and your significant other want a great quiet place to spend some time together, book this place!!

Well the road coming into the resort was not the greatest and it did create a small issue with getting a grab to go to the seaside mall, but the staff will take you to the pier (2min boat ride) so you can get a grab ride. They did get hit by the Typhon in December and the way the world works, post covid, they are rebuilding but like everything now it takes time to get things.(Nothing structural just like chairs and cosmetics)
