For Siquijor, the hotel is top-end, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly (Jen & Adonis were particular stand-out representatives). Breakfast was very good. The private beach area is immaculate, as are all the grounds.

Both times we ate in the restaurant in the evening we were disappointed: fresh tuna steak cooked through until it resembled a pork chop, poor vegetarian options, unimaginative salads. The only real issue for us was the room: definitely in need of a refresh. Whilst clean with decent amenities, it felt damp (though the humidity when we went was admittedly insane) and dated.

I appreciated the hotel's location on a beautiful beach and, above all, the professionalism, attentiveness, and kindness of the staff

It is extremely regrettable that the hotel management or owner has not taken the necessary steps to renovate most of the hotel and its facilities. The roofs need to be redone and in some places have completely lost their natural covering. My room, number 54, had paint that was stained and very old. In addition, the refrigerator was from another era and all of the bathroom fixtures were clogged, particularly the toilet, which required the intervention of a maintenance worker following a flood caused by the clogging, which was not very pleasant. But once again, the staff was responsive. The owner or management needs to understand that when you have a hotel product with great potential, you have to maintain it, otherwise you risk losing customers.

We loved every single thing about our stay! Excellent customer service, friendly and helpful staff, excellent facilities, a beautiful setting, room well equipped and clean, good choice of food at the restaurants. We loved the free Yoga classes and use of kayaks. The BEST thing by far about this resort is the marine sanctuary! The best snorkeling we have ever done and it is literally off the beach!

We loved everything!!! Just be aware that you are not allowed in the sea to snorkel for 3 days a month following a new moon as the fish are spawning (excellent idea!). The dates are on the Coco Grove website.

amazing location, on the beach. marine sanctuary right out front. not allowed to bring ANY food or drink in from outside which i’d never seen before. we had to smuggle snacks-pringles and soda water in🤷🏼‍♀️. a few issues with the room that weren’t attended to, and the room was fairly run down- tv hanging precariously from the wall, light shade about to fall off the ceiling, tissues stuffed around the aircon to seal it, sliding door broken and extremely difficult to open/close/lock. we paid a lot for this accommodation and i felt that the room itself was not good value for money, it felt very tired and needing a refresh. some staff were fabulous, others ignored our requests. location on the beach absolutely unmatched it was stunning. the breakfasts were simple but lovely. we adored siquijor, but not sure that i would stay at coco grove again.

standard of the room for the price. efficiency of some staff. strict rule around bringing any outside food or drink in.

The beach and pools are the best on the island. It’s the most expensive resort, but you get excellent service, good food and lovely surroundings. They really expanded this property since we last were here in 2008, so it’s pretty impressive.

For the price, I was hoping that the rooms and bathrooms were a bit higher end. Perhaps they’re just getting a bit old and it’s not surprising since so many guests are checking in daily. Maybe just upgrade the rooms and facilities. Also, it seems the front desk have differing views on availability of rooms. When I check via booking.com sometimes there’s nothing available, but when we checked in person, then they had more rooms available. Anyhow, just do your research. Also, lots more foreigners than a decade ago! The secret is out siqujor, so it’s a bit sad that the quiet and quaint island we once knew is no longer the same.

I love the idea that there are different wifi accessible throughout the resort and they maintain one password for all, thus you can easily connect to the nearest one wherever you might be. Also, I think the Temple Suites are underrated, but should be a top consideration among bookers, especially if you want to have a direct and quick access to the spa.

Albeit the nice interiors of our suite, we saw some dead bugs in different parts of the room, and an old/used hotel towel from a previous customer was left behind inside the closet. Also, one time our used towels were collected during the clean-up but were not replaced. In the same instance, used towels that were already left in the floor for replacement were returned as is to their racks/places for us to be used again. In essence, housekeeping could still improve, including their response time re: reported issues such as the above. Lastly, would also be appreciated if the restaurants can do room services even during non-rainy nights.

The place is so gorgeous. We got the executive suite and it’s like a honeymoon suite it’s so gorgeous and secluded with it a own massive balcony overlooking the sea. It’s the only room connected to the spa so basically have private access to the spa pool. The staff is lovely, food is gorgeous and the whole resort is like paradise. Also the spa is so lovely and one of the best treatments I’ve ever had.

It was a bit out of the main village so you aren’t close to much else. The snorkelling staff were rude and uninterested, goggles we were told would be free but I had to pay as they had none left apparently. I also wouldn’t go here if you want to meet other traveler’s as many of the guests did not mix or speak to others.

Amazing grounds and pools, amazing location. I loved the rustic vibe and the gardens, just so beautiful. Food was great. Room was clean and comfy; staff were super nice. We’re so relaxed and loved this holiday so much!

The scooter hiring is a debacle. You can only hire for 8 hours at a time, so can’t go anywhere at night or even make concrete plans for the following days. This meant standing in a line and filling out paperwork for the same thing day after day. Only place in the Philippines I’ve ever come across this. The check in process was also annoying. Stood in line for ages and then told they couldn’t find out booking (… despite them having just picked us up from the port so clearly knew we were coming).

Coco grove was outstanding- we now understand why everyone stays there! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best place we’ve visited in the Philippines. Nothing was a hassle, from scooter hire, port transfers and the option to book boat tickets directly with them. The food was incredible and catered well to our gluten free diet. Shout out to Jake and all the Ates for impeccable service at the beach front restaurant and to the staff that waved us farewell- it was so cute, we almost cried. 100/10 recommend- See you next year!

The only suggestion we have would be to implement refillable body wash and shampoo in the showers. We understand the mini bottles are a nice touch but the amount of plastic used for them is unnecessary.

Amazing location!!!! A tropical paradise.

#1 The internet was horrible the whole time I was there. #2 they don't allow the use of Drones. I bought a 1200.00 dollar drone so I could record the beaches but I was never able to do so. This should be part of the property information posted before the public makes reservations so they can make an informed decision to stay there or not.
