- The room was clean and spacious. It has all the things you need - towels, slippers, toiletries, robes, bottled water, kettle, coffee & tea, and toilet paper. - They have cable tv so you won't get bored. - The place is nicely convenient along the main highway which is about 5-10mins away from the main town where all the restaurants are located. It is also close to Mahogany market. - The hotel staff were really friendly and accommodating. - The complimentary breakfast was really good and value for money. So better to add it in booking.

- If you pay online, you won't be able to use the senior citizen discount if you're travelling with your parents - The drain in our room was not working properly and takes a long time for water to subside. The shower/tap knob is not staying locked hence you get both shower and tap water at the same time. We've reported it to the reception, so hopefully they have already fixed it for the next guests.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Monticello, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff and service were truly excellent, making me feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay. The location of the hotel is very convenient, allowing easy access to nearby attractions. My room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with efficient air conditioning, ensuring a restful stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the Mongolian food night. For only 499 pesos per person, it was an incredible value and a fantastic culinary experience. I highly recommend it! Overall, Hotel Monticello exceeded my expectations and deserves a solid five stars. I look forward to returning in the future!

The location and the room itself. It so spacious and everything is clean.

We were a bit sad that during breakfast, the only option we can get eat is egg. Normally in other restaurants/hotels, they try to have all kinds of meat in their menu. We are not eating pork because of our Religion and the breakfast during our 1st day are all pork. Good thing that on the following day, they serve all chicken and beef! And their TV is not a smart one, be sure to download movies before you checkin.

I liked the friendliness of the staff as well as the price and the clean hotel generally. It certainly exceeded my expectations regarding the class we expected it to be in. The breakfast was also decent with a wide selection of different dishes from a buffet.

Unfortunately, our bathroom smelled a bit damp and there were smaller little errors with it such as a not working plug at the sink. Nevertheless, I would certainly come back to this hotel anytime I spend a night in Tagaytay.

We loved the heated pool and the KTV room. The place is well maintained and cozy. The rooms had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating from the reception to the KTV and the breakfast.

During check in we had to fill in some forms from scratch, in other properties some of the info is pre-filled from the info they get from Booking. The bathroom in the pool area had some of the locks broken in the stalls of both bathrooms. There could be some more options in the breakfast buffet.

Staff are all accomodating and proactive. In the pool area, bar and breakfast-you would really feel the hospitality. It is clean even the under the bed is clean (accidentally need to get something under the bed cause a toy went there). Clean cr and rooms.

One thing I would want them to improved, is their breakfast rules. Sleepwear is not allowed. Some people prefer to eat breakfast first before bath and other preparations for the day, so it should be given. Maybe just put a distint that sleepwear shouldn't be too revealing or generally decent. Kids should also be understandable if wearing PJs during breakfast. The bedroom slippers rule too, cause sometimes people forgot slipper or rely on hotel slippers. Aside

Staff are nice. Location is very accesible from the highway and there are a lot nice restaurants nearby. Lobby is spacious and nice. Pool is heated with kiddie pool. Love the massage as well. Buffet breakfast is good. I love that they have fridge inside the room as well. I wish it was stated in the list of amenities as well.

Beds are small. We were booked at the 3rd flr and our view is ugly, the aircons and walls are blocking the view. Had to call the maintenance at 12 midnight because aircon isnt working well. But they were quick enough to fix it. I wish their holiday buffets are safe for everyone, less seafood or at least more options for those with allergies.the bar by the pool isnt open. And there was no life guard around unlike in other hotels. No one offered for beach towels. Parking isnt that big and may be crowded and full on a peak day

Location was good, close to our event venue at Summit Ridge and near SkyRanch. The hotel was quite not crowded with lots of open spaces, creating a very relaxing environment. Rooms were very affordable and I love the penthouse even the Firenze with a small living room and separate sleeping areas. The heated pool and videoke rooms was a plus.

Only comment would be for the time for the use of pool and gym, as they open only at 8am and closes at 5pm. This usually dont allow for people on business trips to avail of these facilities. Recommend to make some adjustment in opening and closing times, probably earlier opening time for the gym, and a little later closing time for the pool.

the room was spacious, cozy and clean. i found the lights too dim; i prefer it to have a big bright light for the entire room, up to the guest to switch it off when not needed. the staff are very accommodating and courteous! just didnt have the chance to go around and see the pool.

am particular with bathroom amenities... for 4 check in pax, there were only 2 hand soaps; dental care kit not enough for the overnight stay (toothpaste too small). No shower cap, vanity kit, lotion too!

This is my second time staying at this Hotel, it's as good as I remember it!!! The staff are all very friendly, yet professional and efficient!!! It's not always an easy balance, but somehow they manage to achieve it!!! We usually stay at the more famous and certainly more expensive Taal Vista Hotel when we come to Tagaytay. Now we wonder why!!! Apart from the balcony and view of the Taal Volcano, the massive difference in price is not worth it. Much better to stay at the Monticello Hotel and spend the savings on drinks and meals out!!!!
