we enjoyed every aspect of our stay and tried most of the facilities. We had breakfast and supper at the restaurant and the buffet was well presented with a very good selection of food for every diet from vegetarian to carnivore. The a la carte meals were very well presented with just the correct amount of food on the plate. excellent!

Being able to have a mid afternoon tea with a slice of the beautiful cake that was presented at breakfast would have been really nice. A tea and coffee station in the bedroom or elsewhere would have been nice.

A little slice of heaven on earth for horse lovers! It is a stunning property with so much history. It has always been on my bucket list and I am so glad I finally had the chance to visit this beautiful place. The staff were very professional and kind; the food was delicious and the rooms were gorgeously decorated. You couldn’t ask for more. I will definitely be back!

The staff is extremely kind and helpful and the place is very beautiful. Breakfast was also great. The bed is comfortable and huge and it is very quiet all around the place, so we got some quality sleep. It was an overall very lovely experience!

The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the shower. Once you open hot water it starts making a high pitched sound, kind of like a whistle. And the longer you keep it open, the louder the sound gets. We had to close it several times, as sometimes it felt like a pipe was going to explode. It is a minor detail, because the hotel is great overall, but I love a relaxing shower and it was anything but relaxing. The road to get to our bedroom further away from the main building by car could also use some mending.

The staff were super nice, and the location is incredible for a few days of peace and quiet. It was very moving to see the love of the falconry staff, as well as the people who train the horses. We did a visit to both places, and a little horse carriage tour and it was priceless

The two less positive points was that the bathroom door didn't fully slide until the end (meaning it didn't fully close), and the SPA got too busy on one evening (the weather wasn't good). The SPA lockers are too small, and if there's isn't enough free space, people shouldn't be allowed to keep going in. When a SPA is that crowded, it is no longer a quiet and relaxing place...

An amazing location and example of how to enhance and restore the history and culture of the area. Rooms in the main building were large and bed comfortable. Fortunately we received an upgrade which made the stay even more enjoyable. The spa area of wet and dry sauna and jacuzzi looked out over the landscape and were a warm welcome after the day exploring the area. The buffet style breakfast was great. One of the best Vila Gale locations I have stayed in. The ability to wander around the location and experience the falconry, horses and talk with the students makes you appreciate the location even more. We will return!

The only thing I didn’t like is that if you leave the window open a lot of flies enter in the room but I noticed that the staff is super prepared and they get rid off all!

They should have more adapted rooms. They only had one, which I booked two months in advance only to arrive and be told it wasn’t available. The staff tried to help but still if you’re using a wheelchair it’s much easier to have an adapted room. Same for the access to the rooms that could easily be adapted to be more wheelchair accessible

Incredible. Beautiful location, fantastic food, friendly staff - all absolutely wonderful and we were devastated to leave.

The staff is very attentive and the place is beautiful. The restaurant has a good valeu for money. The spa is ok, but could have warmer pools during the winter.

No internal connection from rooms to spa. On a rainy and cold day you need to go out with an umbrella and jackets out of a place of 20+ degrees (SPA) to one with 5 degrees (open space) to get to your room.

We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was amazing, the pool is great and the kids entertainment makes it almost perfect. It´s a beautiful property. Most of the staff was super friendly.

The lunch started at 12h30 with no options for snacks, We have a baby and it was a bit of a problem to ask a soup earlier than that. There are not many options around and the room has a weak fridge to be able to transport our own food.
