Burgo da Villa was recommended to us for stay when visiting Castelo de Vide. What a place! We were pleasantly surprised and greatly impressed with the place: so so beautiful, every little and big detail in the house and the room is tastefully designed (including special home fragrance); with loads of character and art and exceptionally cosy. Even the bathroom has the underfloor heating - heaven for me! Beautiful view from our room N2 over the hills. Fabulous location - in the city centre: old town, main square, beautiful public parks and plenty of places to dine just around the corner . The owner offered such a special warm welcome; shared with us recommendations for great places to dine and visit. Such a special stay and wonderful weekend. What a great stay. Rui is a a fantastic host! Arrived in the rain and the village was quite busy with the Portalegre Rally. We couldn’t find a spot and texted Rui. He came out immediately and got us a spot. Room was clean. Fun decorations. Comfy bed. Highly recommended!!!
