Veg food as minor challage

What to say about this hotel? Lovely staff. I was made to feel incredibly welcome by all.of them. Suthida, in particular, was a wonderful host. The restaurant is superb.The pool has an amazing view over the river. The rooms are in a beautiful colonial style with great facilities. It was a real find! What many might see as a disadvantage is that it is far from the centre but for me, this was an advantage. I used to take a cab to the nearby passenger ferry stop and take a fascinating ride up the river into the centre of town. If you want to see real bangkok, as opposed to the city centre, this is a great place to stay.

The only thing I didn't like is that I didn't stay there long enough. For most people the negative will be the location but there are advantages to being outside the centre too.

This hotel is located in the northern part of Bangkok, away from all the touristy sides of Bangkok. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Thanks to Po the little golf cart driver that takes people to the main road or around the complex. The front end staff (Film, Fang and 2 other ladies whose names I have forgotten). The breakfast is mostly Thai style with some sections that are Western (breads and cereals). The have an egg station that can make you a variety of styles of eggs. The have 2 pools and both are well maintained and clean. The rooms are clean and spacious. What makes this place special is the colonial fortress style and it looks like a nice place to have a conference, wedding or special occasion event.

This hotel is far out and you will need a taxi to get anywhere. There are no restaurants that are walking distance. The 2 that are located next to and on premise look nice but are overpriced. NOTE: this is away from all tourist attractions.

I love the overall atmosphere and the breakfast. They have quite a variety of breakfast choices. Sour-dough bread was also available. The staff are very attentive and having a great service mind. Thank Khun Pat, and Khun Vit at the breakfast venue for taking care of my elderly parents so well, and Khun Pear at the front counter for her prompt assistance and good gesture in dealing with challenging questions from clients.

It's not what I particularly didn't like. Just my humble suggestion that the antique, memorabilia items/objects displayed around the hotel should have some descriptions. It would be interesting way for the guests to learn Thai history through those objects.

I actually wasn't happy with the breakfast but I understand it was low season and so no buffet which I prefer. However the pool villa was amazing and I highly recommend it . Room service was excellent . We ordered a couple of Gin tonics and tequila shots and it was no problem . I will definitely stay here next time . It was an ideal location for us as I was getting a bamboo tattoo not far away. I only have this to say they have many rooms and a massive swimming pool but if you want a romantic time with your partner get the pool Villa . Staff were excellent and English was was good . I do speak a little Thai but not as good as I would like .This hotel Is an oasis in the middle of a local town . Book it .

The breakfast was not so good but I Have to say my standards are pretty high so I take that into account . So I am not going to be too critical on that aspect . I will still come back to you. I just want plain scrambled eggs on toast with a bit of chilli.

I have stayed in resorts all over the World and this one had the BEST STAFF EVER. No matter what I asked them to do no matter how small they were very attentive to my family and friends needs. They were all very nice. 2nd floor pool is awesome PLEASE try the mango spring roll w/ ice cream it is awesome.

I noticed some maintenence issues that needed addressed and in their defense they are remodeling the property in alot of areas.

We booked a private pool villa and loved the Decor , comfortable furniture, large suite of rooms,pool was good size but could have used a bit of garden greenery.

Lovely setting. Lots of space. 2 pools to choose from. Great staff. Lovely old colonial style furnishing. Really good value for money. Very peaceful. Out of Bangkok so low pollution rates.

The ac in bedroom was set to very cold and I could not adjust it.

The staff were very helpful, even flagged down a taxi for us when we were in a hurry . Pools are excellent

Watch out for mosquitoes!
