I very much enjoyed my stay here! The location is excellent for quick access to the train station, the outstanding Regional Museum and the lovely gardens and center of town. I booked a room overlooking the Daube, and sat mesmerized by it most of the time I was in the room. The bed and shower were good - I always appreciate getting hot water quickly on a higher floor. This is a former state run Brutalist hotel that, thankfully, has been saved and mostly preserved. The bar in particular is a treat! Clean, and comfortable, and a good value.

I was completed ignored when I arrived for check in around 6pm. The person staffing the desk was having a loud screaming match with someone on the phone while two other guests waited. I understand things happen, but she never even acknowledge I was standing there - for a good five minutes. That’s unprofessional in any culture. I was also sad to see the state of the carpet and bathroom floor in my room as well as issues on the exterior patio. Again, I understand Romania is still in a growth phase economically, but Continental needs to make sure these historic buildings are restored and maintained properly. You can’t miss these issues.

The location is great - right at the heart of the city. Close to restaurants, to the Promenade along the river, the park - whatever you may need for a lovely and relaxing stay. The parking is quite big so no worries to get an available slot. Despite the hotel is old (built during the 'communist era') and some elements remind the old times, overall it's renovated and the rooms are modern, very nice, clean and comfortable. If you get a room looking over the river, the view is spectacular. The staff are so kind and helpful, they take care of whatever you may need. We had to leave very early in the morning, so they have prepared a package with breakfast for us to take it along the way.

As this is our second stay in the hotel, the previous time I noticed that the rooms looking on the boulevard are a bit noisy. Otherwise there is nothing that I didn't like specifically.

The hotel is centrally located and was easy to locate. It was very comfortable and has a restaurant where we ate. The food was delicious and the waiter that attended to us was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, unfortunately I cannot recall his name, but I believe he was the senior person in charge of the restaurant. The reception staff both in the evening and again in the morning were very helpful and charming.

The hotel was fine.

Centrally located, a real gem of 70s architecture. We were happy to find the untouched corbusierian brutalist pilotis and the original doors and window frames. Hopefully when the renovation team will come to this, they will see the value of the stunning original features and will not replace them. Same goes for the terraces and the adjacent cafeteria. Really wonderful arhitecture that just needs to be fixed and preserved, not changed or "modernized". The hotel is already a modernist masterpiece, a perfect example of the period it was built. The rooms needed updating and that is currently being done, but the outside, the ground floor and terraces just need to be carefully preserved and celebrated for the wonderful late 20th century architecture. Restaurant was fantastic My congratulation to Boby, he's a real pro. From the beginning he scanned us and gave us the best advices, he knew what to tell the cooker for to get the best dishes. He also made recommendations for the breakfast, next day, presenting the advantages, and even after closing the kitchen he was able to serve few more beers. If you there, ask for Boby services, :)

Pet fee €13, and parking fee €5, too expensive (considering we travel with a chihuahua which, c'mon... she is not a real dog, :) )

The location of the hotel is amazing. Great Danube view from the room as well. Safe parking. Decent breakfast.

The hotel is outdated for sure. You can see it was not renovated and it lacks modern amenities. I think it could be a bit cleaner as well. Parking costs 25 lei per night which is fine and not a lot but it would be better if it were included in the price

Location, staff, cleanliness

My main gripe was the WiFi which was so poor I had to use the hotspot at all times. Second, due to heat I was looking for a bottle of water in the evening which was nowhere to be found, minibar was empty and only got one on arrival. Third one is just a gimmick, nothing to worry about, but the hotel is slightly dated.

In general, the stay was comfortable considering we were just staying overnight. The room was nice and clean, even if bit dated. The outside doesn't give the best impression before entering, but inside was really well kept and nice. Since we were on a higher floor, the view from the room is great in the morning. There's large window in the room, so that's really nice and the coffee provided was great.

Large and well equipped hotel in the city centre, in a nice location close to the main attractions (old town, fortress, parks, Danube), shops, restaurants. Rooms are pleasant (though make sure you book the "superior room", especially in summer). Staff is nice and kind. Option for breakfast, restaurant, and private parking.

My room was on the top floor and had no air conditioning, at the time when there was 37-38 C outside, so it was a genuine sauna, even through the night. Yes, it was my oversight that I didn't book a "superior room" that has air con, but I didn't think air con was a luxury in 2023; also booking.com selects the standard rooms by default.

Nice room, comfortable beds, beautiful view from window, hotel in city centre, delicious breakfast, small fridge, free parking at the street (outside of the ramp - just few meters away)... except air conditioning, everything in hotel was very well... we also get very good price for night and map of city with tourist objectives...

Air conditioning in our room was not working and receptionist at the check-in did not tell us about malfunction before we find out... room was very warm at the evening, it took us until about midnight to cool it down with just the windows opened (top floor, south room, hot summer)... however at the end, we slept well...
