Althof Apartments is right in the heart of the (old)city center, it is 3 minutes walking distance from it, and even though we went for the rock festival ARTmania, you could not hear the music from the room - it was very peaceful. The room was very tastefully decorated, it had tall walls, it was dark and perfect for our stay. The location has 3 or 4 parking spots in the yard, and you have to communicate with the host in order to book it for an additional small fee.

It was not necessarily something I didn't like, but an AC would have been a great facility. We were lucky enough to travel after the heatwave so we weren't impacted.

This was one of the best stays I've had in Sibiu! The photos are super accurate - we booked 7 rooms and checked them all out :) The home is an old home, renovated and redecorated. The furniture and decor is super modern and appealing, it almost felt like every room had its own personality! Some had interesting ceiling decor, some had hanging swing chairs, some had neon signs - every room had its own special quirk. The experience was made better by how graceful and helpful our host was - so thanks and kudos to her! I was surprised at how close this location is to the big and small squares! It's literally less than a 5 min walk. 100% I would stay here again.

They're not really dislikes: the check-in process was a bit tough because we were traveling and had so many rooms, but the host was great at helping us with the room codes and she even upgraded one of the rooms for a newly wed couple! Super easy to come and go with an all-digital system. The space has a big parking lot but we didn't use it due to the fact that our bus was too big to enter the courtyard. These were by no means fault of the host or residence - i have no complaints about our stay!

Beautiful and clean apartment right in the city center. The location could not be beat! The room was a good size but still felt cozy. With a reservation made ahead of time, parking was available and very convenient! Check-in was super easy with a digital door code.

Entrance was a little bit difficult to find at first, but the host responded to my SMS immediately and directed me to find them.

We booked the hotel last minute and were surprised to find out the whole check-in/ locking / check-out system is based online. No staff at all, no reception, only use your phone to unlock the door to your room. A smart way of filtering your guests too I guess. The only inconvenience might be if you run out of battery on your phone, you might be locked out 😅 The location is amazing, just a step away from the main town square, and overall, beautiful and functional room. The free coffee was also a nice touch 🫶

We couldn’t manage to open the entrance gate fully, in order to park our car in the private yard. There’s no clear function for that on the website used for the locking/ unlocking system. So we ended up just leaving the car on the street parking.

Very roomy and tastefully decorated apartment in a very central location within an earshot of Piața Mare, but still tucked away and quiet. Large flat screen smart TV, kettle and coffee machine, complimentary bottle of water, all nice touches that made our stay all the more comfortable. The lady we spoke to was incredibly accommodating, helpful and quick to respond, very reliable.

The self-service check in and check-out can be somewhat confusing, but I can see the benefit and it all works fine. The bathroom had a slight smell, though there is a vent which takes away from it.

The apartment is in the heart of Sibiu, less than a minute walk to Piata di Mare. It is modern and clean. There are lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The host Andra is friendly and helpful. We requested her to book a parking space inside the couryard and it was worth the money as the parking on the street was not allowed during the weekend.

I wish we had more time to stay few more nights.

The location couldn't be better. Just 50 meters to the large square, where the Christmas bazaar is situated. The apartment is absolutely sufficient for two people, quiet, warm and clean. The hostess, Andra is extremely helpful. Her clear instructions and recommendations were much appreciated. I would strongly recommend Althof property! Thanks for the hospitality, Andra!!!

Great location, nice cozy room, all you need in the facility. Heating works very well. I asked for an iron and I immediately received one, very thankful.

The toiletries should be improved... Another point to improve: it's confusing the parking situation. You have private parking in your courtyard but it's not very obvious. Maybe rephrase the way you present your private parking.

Clean, tall room. Dark, but this is a big plus on hot summer days. Close to the city centre and less than 50m away from Charlie’s.

My plan was to work on the laptop during my stay, but there was no desk or table where I could do that. Also, a bit more storage would’ve been helpful. You can put your shirts on the visible hangers, bit a closet would be helpful for visitors staying more than 1-2 nights.

The location is incredible, in Sibiu’s city center, at 2 min walk from Piata Mare, beautiful location, nice decoration, spacious, clean, very nice bathroom and good facilities. Also the access was easy and the interior court was also clean and beautiful!

I think it is more on my side, but I usually do not like the glass doors at the bathroom 🙈! Of course they offer privacy, but from my point of view not enough 🙈
