The beautiful log cabins are within a safe space in a beautiful country setting of Underberg. It is very relaxing, very beautiful, ecotherapy galore. , All the amenities were available and under development. Sheldon the manager of the site was helpful and really approachable. We wanted to use the function room for a birthday party celebration and this was made available. The accomodation was neat, tidy and there was wonderful cleaners who were helpful. Everyone was friendly and the groundsmen worked hard to keep the place beautiful. The surrounding lake and mountains including paths were fantastic including a waterfall walk. We will gladly be returning to this wonderful accomodation and look forward to the further developments that are planned. Lovely, spectacular place for families and couples. Has a games room, function room, children's play area, swimming pool, parking area and is eco friendly. Thank you to Sheldon and the team for making our stay a wonderful one. Loved everything about Eland Resort

Very pleasant stay at an affordable price. It may disappoint those who expect five-star accommodation at this price, but is perfect for those who enjoy cleanliness, reasonable comfort, quiet and relaxation. Space in the cabins is somewhat limited, and the second bedroom is barely big enough for the bunk beds and double bed it contains. The kitchen is well-equipped, the sitting area comfortable and the bathroom is adequate. The manager, Sheldon, was very attentive and helpful, and the housekeeping was very good. The scenery is pleasant with a view over the dams to the mountains. It is 4 km from Drak Gardens Hotel; R95 gets a day pass for 3 adults and 2 children and access to all its amenities. The resort is in need of some renovation, which is apparently planned, but if your expectations are reasonable, it offers excellent value for money. Be aware that there is no cellular network reception, though you can get reception by going down to the resort entrance about 10 min walk away or 2 min by car. Wi-fi speed is good, though we did experience some periods of interrupted service as a result of the router tripping and needing a reset in reception. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely place! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always eager to assist with any needs or questions. The area is absolutely beautiful—so peaceful and scenic, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The property itself was spotless and well-maintained, which really enhanced the overall experience. I appreciated how attentive the staff were to cleanliness and comfort. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with excellent service. I look forward to returning in the future!

If I had to mention a couple of small things, the couch had been well-used, and you could feel the metal pipe in the middle, which made it a bit less comfortable for lounging. Additionally, there were only two sets of cutlery—forks, knives, and teaspoons—which was fine for just my husband and me, but having a few more would have made cooking and dining a bit more convenient. Perhaps adding a few extra utensils would be helpful for future guests. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay again!

The place is quiet, relaxing and beautiful 😍 absolutely loved it, got lots of activities and cabins are different, comfortable and neat.I loved the nature. Reception was so accommodating, had my son's birthday party in the entertainment area, quiet cool to have a party there, have they very own place to have parties...etc, cabin mini hall. Price is affordable and reasonable.

I did not like the cleaning services was not good, they did not clean the cabin daily and towels were not changed daily. The pool was not available however reception advised due to the weather conditions.

The location was excellent. The facilities was excellent as well. Games rooms really great and the Lake for Canoeing and fishing as well.

The chalet had 2 rooms. The main room with double bed was great but the 2nd room was not good. Their were 2 single beds and a bunk bed which made the rooms so small and cramped that one could not move around or change. also had a cupboard in the room which we could only open the one door as the bunk bed was against the other door. There should only be 2 single beds in this room which would make much more room and one can then use the cupboard.

Clean, cozy cabins. Clean bathrooms. The surrounding area is very serene and peaceful. The views are spectacular.

The pool wasn't clean enough to swim. They took out 200.00 from my deposit for something minor but couldn't reimburse us for a pool that was murky and not usable.

Perfect location to visit the Garden Castle Nature Reserve that offers a variety of interesting hikes and, unfortunately, a SHOCKING condition of the access road.

The unit we stayed in, number 11, had a few maintenance issues eg. front door warped at the top and difficult to open/close; the bottom of the window frame in the bedroom was rotten and the glass pane about to fall out and the wooden panelling around the wall socket in the bedroom coming off the wall (difficult to insert/remove a plug).

The fact that on-site you could not get basic things you needs, you always had to drive to an expensive convenient store or 30 minutes to Spar. The fact that you had to go and ask about all the activities on site. I suggest that you look into having a bar/restaurant on site and a little convenient store that's not so expensive. Also on arrival let there be a pamphlet with all the activities and guide on how to get to do it/hire it

We enjoyed the beauty, the quietness and the fresh mountain air. The cabin was clean and the basics were provided.

The WiFi was not working, we could not even get a signal with our own Vodacom/MTN data toggles. Not a good thing when your home security system is connected to your phone. The manager was very kind to allow people to use the WiFi at the reception area. The road in the resort does need some attention, specially if you do not have a SUV vehicle. Just a suggestion: A small table on the deck, would be a great asset, when you want to sit outside having breakfast or lunch, enjoying the view. People were using the plastic chairs as a table when they wanted to eat on the deck.

The location was magnificent. It had snowed and the snow covered mountains were majestic and magical. The cabin had everything that we needed. Fantastic views of the lakes and mountains.

Th snow was wonderful but it produced many challenges for the entire Underberg area. The Electricity was out but the generator allowed us to still have lights and wifi. The stove was gas so we were still able to cook. Eventually the lack of electricity effected the water supply but our hosts supplied us with drinking water and water from the dam was available to flush loos until the Electricity could be restored. Bring your own fishing rods and bikes and this will be an amazing place to stay.
