The hostess was extremely informative and helpful. I had asked for on-site parking for my motorcycle and she made it happen. The location of the property was good for me, and it was easy to find. It is located near a few restaurants, one of which I visited and it was very good. The room had a small bottle of fresh juice and there is a coffee maker. The wifi worked flawlessly.

I learned only after I arrived that it is no longer a B&B. There was no planned breakfast. However, the hostess was extremely conscientious and delivered fresh rolls, fresh fruit and a croissant to my room.

A wonderful old property which has been artistically presented to the market. This was our second visit and this time birds featured as the decor of our room. The ceiling, the walls, doors and surfaces featured bird wall art along with other little bits and pieces relating to birds. So clever, so subtle, so beautiful - a real talent is evident. The apartment is very comfortable with all the necessities for a pleasant stay. Everything our hostess does is of top quality. Our hostess was very attentive and warm - a lovely lady. Although Giancarla speaks no English, her son helped with communicating which made life easy for us. Just a few paces from the accommodation is a fabulous casual restaurant called La Fantina. Don’t hesitate to go; delicious food at very reasonable prices. The streets of old Ovada town are quaint and enjoyable to stroll down. We hope to return at some stage and hopefully experience the third room at this lovely establishment. Thank you Giancarla and thank you also to your sons who have made an amazing contribution to apartments.

Very good instructions to enter the property remotely. Close to all amenities and the room has lots of character. Very clean and well maintained, water, coffee, biscuits, nuts, etc, all available

No parking at the property, although free parking is fairly close by but it can be a little tricky if you have a wheelie suitcase as street is not smooth! Fairly easy to overcome and we found it easy enough to take our suitcase from car park to property, don’t let that put you off!

This place is incredible. There is everything you need, or even more. It is beautiful and full of lovely details. The host took care of everything, put her heart into all creative details. We were really amazed. The communication is excellent. The wonderful host even gave us focaccia for our trip. She is such a wonderful person! We are grateful to have found this place and we are sorry that we could stay only one night. Definitely will come back!Thank you!

Everything was great.

The location is perfect (with a quick access to the narrow old town streets, but still a hassle free entrance to the car park from the other side of the house). Our host was incredible, although we had a language barrier (we didn't speak Italian) she managed to communicate everything with a translator app. All our questions were answered and we got loads of useful information as well. The rooms had character and the place felt loved. It was really a lovely stay. The breakfast was also exceptional. a special thanks to returning one of our jackets (that we forgot in the room)! would definately recommend this to anyone looking for a special accommodation in the old town, in an old building - with a perfect hostess

Oh my word, what a little gem this place is. We originally booked as it was a convenient location en route from Italy to Switzerland, but were really impressed with Ovada and its lovely historic centre. Best of all, however, was staying at La Corte. We received the warmest welcome from Giancarla, who went out of her way to make us feel at home. She is such a star. The room was perfect ...a little quirky and different, and super comfortable and clean, which we loved. Secure off-street parking was a bonus, and the breakfast was superb. We hope to return next year just to stay here again. Highly, highly recommended

A room with HUGE character. Nothing modern about this accommodation, it has so much more. It is a very old building which has been decorated and restored in a ‘period’ way. It was amazing to see how imagination and a creative flair has transformed this property into a masterpiece. Our very romantic room was decorated with murals on the walls and ceilings, vases of large roses sat aside candles in the old fireplace, the old door leading to the toilet within the room had had its glass panel painted gold with braiding around the edges, the claw bathtub in the room had beautiful gold taps and pretty curtains - so much detail that it would be impossible to describe all the little touches. It really was an experience which led us to feel we were in a fantasy bygone era. Our hostess, who spoke not a word of English, was a delight. No words were needed to feel her warmth and welcome. We had secure parking for our car on one side of the building and we walked out the other side and immediately found ourselves in the centre of the old town. These old European towns always capture our interest and Ovada did exactly that. A few paces from our apartment we ate a superb dinner at L’Antica Farinata. A very informal restaurant and setting which offered fabulous pizzas and inexpensive pricing. All in all, our stay in Ovada afforded us great memories.

Absolutely nothing to grumble about.

This is a beautiful B&B with so much love and attention to every detail from the handpainted walls and furniture to the specially selected crockery and breakfast sets. All set within a lovely courtyard, private and peaceful in the centre of the town. The owner could not be more pleasant, kind and generous. She gave me recommendations and suggestions and made sure we found the place easily especially as we had a car so we could park in a specially designated area in the back of the property. I loved it and I loved this special town which is so artistic with trompe l'oeil and artistic flourishes all throughout and across the buildings. I hope to return another time in the future.

The room itself was quite nice, with a rustic feel. The WC is separated from the rest of the room by means of a sliding door, while the freestanding bathtub type is in the bedroom. Since the room is not facing the street directly, it is very quiet. Giancarla is a very hospitable host, and even though she only spoke italian, she went out of her way to help us understand her. All instructions were straightforward. She gave us 3 keys so that we'd unlock: the main (road side) gate, which closes at night, the house entry door, the room door. The bed sheets smelled really fresh and clean. The room is heated via wall-mounted radiators and they did their job.

The breakfast could have been better, especially considering the overall price of the room. No options for the lactose intolerant, can't really consider pizza a breakfast option. Why were the boiled eggs missing?

This place is very nice: the staff was extremely helpful and even when our son locked us out of the room in the early morning, they reacted immediately to our request for help. The rooms are very clean and located right in the centre of the city. Price - quality is fantastic. Would recommend staying here!
