It is an old style homestay with a security guard 24/7 and a yard inside where to park motorbike. The Junior Suite is large enough, provides kitchen with amenities. Air cond and hot water and wifi work fine. The staff is extremely customer oriented, they do their best to accommodate your needs and they are very polite and discreet. Residents are also keeping discreet and the global ambiance is cosy and relaxing. Small swimming pool available. Dining room where you can bring your own food with company.

No real direct external window You can hear the train

The location was fantastic. It's up on the top of a hill above the village of Bukit Lawang so the views are stunning and it's much cooler. It's a bit of a climb up the steps but well worth it. The owner could not have been more helpful and organised a jungle trek to see orang utans... awesome...and a walk to the river to swim including a barbecue. That was wonderful too. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and the restaurant has great food. I was extremely sad to leave this beautiful place and hope to go back one day.

I loved the area that Arc's house was in . It was so clean with beautiful trees and magnificent houses and gardens . We walked to all the places of interest + there was a supermarket nearby . The room was spacious with a very comfy bed and pillows + a desk area with a chair and a sofa as well .Masses of storage and a good size fridge , kettle ,plate, bowl and a couple of utensils were an extra bonus . Water dispensers positioned everywhere in the guesthouse ,with chilled and hot water . Small sitting room at the entrance with sofas and coffee tables + a dining room and a good sized pool and little garden out the back . We had 4 beautiful Japanese dinners which we enjoyed immensely in the small dining room . All the staff were very friendly and helpful , and it was perfectly clean ....we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Arc's guest house for 4 days .

Not happy showering in a bath and would have liked more natural light .

Rooms were well equipped, with bug spray, a wall plug in to prevent bugs, breakfast and lunch service, a kettle, fridge; staff were friendly and accommodated to our late check in with no hassle; and the room was very spacious.

The bathroom smelt, however with the door shut this didn’t effect the bedroom so no real complaints just slightly unpleasant when showering etc. We hadn’t realised that payment was by bank transfer, so this was a slight surprise and due to using international bank transfer to do this the payment was delayed which caused some confusion, however staff were also accommodating and understanding to this.

We really enjoyed our short stay here. The check in process was quick and easy and despite reduced English the staff used google translate to communicate with us. The room was clean and spacious with fresh towels provided. The hotel also sorted our laundry very quickly which was really handy as we were only staying a short time. We would recommend this hotel

There desperately needs to be non-slip mat put in the bathtub as it is very slippy when having a shower

Staff were excellent and very attentive Pool was nice. Room and beds were large and comfirtable Water, coffee and tea were available on each floor level on a self serve basis. Location was excellent very close to an MRT station. Good security staff managing the entrance

Only small thing... that no breakfast food option was available. Have to go outside, or purchase something the nite before.

The staff is super friendly and very helpful. We really loved our stay. The location is actually good, near the train station, near good restaurants and food park.

The railway is near so sometimes we hear it but it doesn't bother that much! It's a big city so it's normal to have some noise. It would be good to refresh the hotel.

Very nice and cozy place. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. Our room was spacious, with kettle, fridge and air conditioning. Water can be taken in the cooler (cold and hot), tea and coffee is available. There is a kitchen with microwave on the first floor. Breakfasts are available for a fee, but we did not use them. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and a supermarket. The neighborhood is very quiet (despite the trains passing by sometimes). It is a private sector with a lot of luxury houses, so we felt safe and secure. On the territory there is a swimming pool where it is nice to refresh in the heat.

Our room only had a small window overlooking the roof. The air conditioning hangs over the bed and this is not good for those who are sensitive to drafts like my husband. Occasionally there are trains passing by but this was not a problem for us, mostly very quiet all around.

Very nice quiet hotel in a good neighbourhood. Friendly staff, proper and fridge in the room. Just a 10 minutes walk from phantastic restaurant Lara Djonggrang and 3 minutes away from Stasiun Gondangdia, very practical and fast connection of the city train to Kota.

Very homey. The unit with a kitchen inside was perfect for my mom. The water refill facility is quite nice for us. The staff is super helpful, from the securities (both day and night shift), the housekeeping and the front desk. We plan to come back next year for a longer stay. You cant hear the trains from inside the room.

Bathroom is kinda odd, maybe it is the type of faucet/shower they are using. Shower tube seems to be a bit short and the sink faucet is a bit off. Wifi is not stable for the room.
