We had a large room overlooking the Fort, a magical view which we never tired of. The property is well positioned in the old (blue) city. Most of what we walked to, apart from Forts, were a 10 minute walk

The Hot water took a little while to come through, the sounds of India (call to prayers, Tuk Tuk horns, barking dogs) float around at all hours but if you shut your doors and windows it is much reduced. The stairwells are steep and probably not suited to the elderly or infirm But that goes for all the building’s, cafes and roof top restaurants we came across

Shahi Guest House made our trip a great stay! Location was right in the center of the blue city and it was every photographer's dream – cinematic shots everywhere you look. The views from their rooftop was fantastic. The staff were so helpful and friendly and offered great a map and guide of places to visit. They even recommended a cool wholesale cloth shop in jodhpur where we got a great tour and prices from. Auntie also gave us some of her homemade food she cooked right before we left and it was one of the best meals we had. Highly recommend this place!

nothing! as some reviewers mentioned, the place is only accessible by auto rickshaw. however seeing as autos are everywhere it was no problem and very easy to get there.

The hotel is very well placed sitting in the middle of the blue city we were only 10 mins walk to every attraction ! The rooftop is lovely and offers a great view of the fort and city, we had breakfast served they everyday freshly made for us. The rooms were spacious, very clean and well decorated ours had a great view of the fort we were in the Heritage rooms ! The hotel owners and staff are fantastic very kind, they booked us some masseuse who came to the hotel, they arranged for us the car to go to our next destination with a very fair price and gave us great restaurant recommendations. I really recommend staying here it’s a perfect way to assimilate to local culture and heritage whilst staying in a nice clean functional hotel. I would go again !

This is a ca. 400 year old traditional haweli, kept in the family, now in hands of a 5th generation owner. I highly recommend staying here for the comfort of the rooms, rich history of the building, accommodating hosts, and if you have the deluxe suite - the fort view, and if you don't - just go to the rooftop restaurant, where you may enjoy fairly priced meals (though I cannot recommend the eggplant dish) and drinks (including a very reasonably priced beer) during movie-like sunsets. The kitchen staff are at your disposal whenever you need them. The hotel is located just 2 corners away from the path to the sunset viewpoint, from where you will also get a great view of the North-Western part of the old town (on the other side of the fort). Rooms are nicely decorated and beds are exceptionally comfortable. The best bed of my 41-day journey across India.

Location is excellent, with amazing views of Mehrangarh Fort and a rooftop terrace to enjoy sunset views of the whole city. A 10 minute walk from the clock tower and the bustling bazaars, whilst only a 20 minute uphill walk to fort. Very near the famous Blue Corridor, which leads you straight in to the main square. The building itself is stunning. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Not such a problem for us, but being an old building, the stairs to the upper rooms and rooftop are very steep and narrow, which may be an issue for some. We were on the top floor, but it was still pretty loud. Not really a fault of the hotel and I think you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere that can cut you off from the sounds of the city.

The guest house was perfextly located in the old town with a fantastic view of the fort from the roof terrace. The food from the roof restaurant was all good, both local and western dishes. Ram the local tuktuk driver the hotel recommends is excelent and will getbyou everywhere. One of us injured our leg while in Jodhpur and the hotel were quick to arrange for Ram to take them to the local hospital and help them getbseen quickly and with no hassel. Overall we wiykd highly recommend this place.

Our host Mr. Vijay and his family(incl. Daisy, the gentle Labrador )are extremely warm and welcoming. The support staff were quite gentle too. Helped us with details of the places to visit with a printed map. Very helpful with directions to restaurants and other touristy places/booking local autos at all times/local tips. Ornately decorated suite rooms with tall ceilings and traditional Rajasthani haveli interiors with just the correct amount of modern amenities. The roof top restaurant offered all day dining. Great views of the Mehrangarh fort and the rest of the colourful havelis/homestays. Quite a prime location. Mehrangarh fort is a 15 minute walk. Cool restaurants & cafes were a 10 to 15 minute walk. I would surely recommend this place.

The washroom could do with better ventilation.

Romantic, mystique and lovely owners made our stay great. After having picked up a TD bug somewhere along the road, the owner patched me up with some yoga and psyllium. In turn we could celebrate Holi a little bit which was the thing we came to Johdpur for. The festival and the night before was very memorable and this place is a small gem in its neighborhood. Take care with roaming the streets at night to the clock-tower. It’s not recommended - better to take a tuk tuk then to walk. Around this hotel however is great.

WiFi was sometimes unresponsive and slow.

Beautiful room, very comfortable and some attempt had been made to reduce the noise from outside. Staff in the restaurant were lovely and worked very hard. A heater was provided.

It was a little way out of the centre and away from restaurants etc. Hot water was variable, sometimes good and sometimes none. A little noisy from dogs and the temple next door. Earplugs essential (but that's true of everywhere in India)!
