Lovely place to stay. Secure parking for our motorcycles. Comfortable bed. Good, hot shower. The room was nice and good storage for everything. Nice to sit outside on the patio listening to the birds and watching monkeys! The restaurant was nice and the food good. All the staff were very friendly and we felt very welcome.

Only niggle was that there weren’t really any power sockets by the bed. One side didn’t have any at all and on the other side there was a multi plug that was really hard to reach (we had to move the bed). There was another socket by the kettle and the chair (if you unplug the tv). Just a small niggle but we’re living on the road and need to charge things every night.

My mom and I visited for a week. We loved every second of our stay! The staff made us feel right at home with friendly greetings every time they pass. They were always happy to assist us with anything! We stayed in a Twin Room, and it was perfect. Our room was cleaned everyday and even our towels were neatly folded up every time. The restaurant is spectacular. From the buffet breakfast in the morning (definately our daily highlight!) to just a nice warm cup of hot chocolate in the cooler evenings, we were spoiled with the most beautiful views of the mountains and the kindness of every staff member. The property itself feels magical - as if you are in the middle of a rainforest far away! We did not want to leave! The location is great, safe and secluded. We will surely be back in the future. It is close to shops like the Gables Shopping Centre, which is great if you want to go walk around. For anyone who needs to go to the U.S Embassy, it is right around the corner as well - only 1.2 km.

The ONLY thing that I would recommend Mantenga Lodge to have look at is the entry at the bottom gate - it is not convenient to enter. You have to drive up to the main gate (gravel uphill road) to ask the staff at the main gate to buzz open the bottom gate. Then reverse and go down again. Perhaps install a keypad with a code for guests that uses the bottom parking area. This would be such a great way to still manage entry at the bottom gate.

The breakfasts was amazing. The bed was comfortable and clean. A good shower. Nice layout of the room. Real plants in the room. Location was good with beautiful views from the restaurant’s terrace. Most staff were very friendly. Don’t forget to pass by the next door crafts center. The shop in the back, left side (male owner) has very good gifts and furniture.

My three cards were continuously declined on booking. Even though no limit was reached and my bank account had more than enough funds on it. I had to secure the room by wiring money to their bank account. When at the property I used two of my cards to pay. There were no issues with cards being declined. I don’t know why they made it so difficult for us to pay for the room.

The Breakfast was more than adequate and the 06.30 start was perfect for me. The Restaurant is perfectly situated and the Staff are very accommodating and helpful. The Menu caters for most palates and is well prepared and tasty and care is taken with presentation. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

My only gripe as a business traveler is the lack of proper wardrobe space, i realize that business travelers are in the minority however, top of our wish list would be self catering rooms with a small fridge and a well appointed desk as we often work late and the Restaurant is closing and we need to complete our marking so dinner is out of the question hence the fridge for snacks and cold water.

Our vehicle broke down on a Sunday afternoon in rural Swaziland, one hour away from the lodge. Fortunately I had cellphone signal. I phoned the lodge and explained my problem. The ladies in reception were able to help and sent me the name and number of a mechanic. He organised our transfer and all our belongings to the lodge while he towed our vehicle to his workshop. Unfortunately we had only booked for one night, but the ladies at reception once again helped us out and found us accommodation not far from Matenga. They also organised transfer of our belongings there too. I was very impressed with their help and service!!

The place is beautiful, lush with greenery and has a pleasant, sustainable atmosphere. The staff is very helpful, and the restaurant not only offers a lovely view but also a cozy interior and excellent food.

The only downside was the room — we booked last minute and got the last available one. Some rooms are all connected side by side, similar to a motel layout, and ours was right next to the parking area, which made it quite noisy due to foot traffic. Aside from that, the rooms are comfortable and the overall stay was very enjoyable.

This is our second stay at Mantenga and once again it was truly unforgettable! Nestled in the serene beauty of Ezulwini Valley, the lodge offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The rooms were impeccably clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. I particularly enjoyed the private balcony where I could unwind and take in the stunning scenery. The lodge’s staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. One highlight of my stay was the on-site restaurant, which served delicious meals with a variety of options to suit different tastes. The breakfast was a delightful way to start the day, and the dinner menu featured flavorful dishes made with fresh ingredients. Mantenga Lodge’s location is another plus—it’s close to local attractions such as the Mantenga Cultural Village and the Mantenga Falls. The lodge's tranquil setting, combined with its excellent service, makes it an ideal choice for both leisure and adventure seekers. Nothing negative to point out.

Beautiful setting, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast (with delicious coffee), splendid food in restaurant for dinner, great location for visiting the cultural village and the wildlife park (hippo walk + sunset tours recommended).

We were given a room attached to the parking lot which was noisy. The room's walls are rather thin so can hear the conversations of your neighbours. Be aware of the clear difference between the rooms shown on the main pictures and the ones you could be getting 'downstairs'.

The unit was so beautiful and with the patio looking through the gardens toward the pool I felt like I was completely immersed in nature. Waking up to the architecture of the room with the nature sounds outside it felt like I was tucked away in paradise. I had dinner at the restaurant. The prices were affordable and the food was delicious. The staff were incredible and made me feel like a VIP. My bed made me feel like Goldilocks, as in, it was JUST RIGHT 👌 This trip was for business but if I am ever in the area for pleasure I will most definitely be staying here.

Restaurant was first class with a view of the mountain, I had the ox tail for dinner, best I have tasted for a long time. breakfast, self service scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potato. good value for money. The room was also very nice, with a nice double bed, coffee, tea making facilities, and a balcony for relaxing after a busy day. The swimming pool also was lovely, crystal clear water, and nice place to relax in the deck chairs. I am staying at Mantenga Lodge again in January again, and have always liked it.
