This is a lovely resort great for families with the 2 big pools and right on the river. Comfy rooms with air con, has a resort feel. I would recommend it. My only point is research the cost of activities and also local transport before booking as it’s fair to say prices are very high. I stayed with my 16 year old daughter and I imagined we would be kayaking, doing day trips etc but everything was quite pricy by Thai standards. We were travelling independently and it meant I only did a fraction of what I was anticipating. To be fair the prices may match the quality of the resort but we got a great price for the room so I hadn’t budgeted accordingly and as resort is an hour from Kachanaburi costs to town or to erawan falls were quite high. A la carte in restaurant and drinks were really reasonable though. I honestly had a great time here and I would encourage people to stay - especially with kids as the whole place is well run and easy - but this was my only thing. It’s a shame as we would have done a lot more I think if things weren’t so costly. As I say this is compared to local standards elsewhere.
As above - activities were expensive

Everything was very good. Small exception when checking out.
Did not like that water bottle broke when put in door of refrigerator and it rolled out. Was told at check out that is why water is placed by staff put on counter, but was not told do not put in door as might break. We cleaned it up but was as charged for bottle. Also one bottle of additional water was in refrigerator, which admitted I drank as god our own water mixed up. Was charged 7x cost at near market. Total cost was under 100 baht. But we spent maybe over 25,000 baht for river front room for 5 nights, food, and pool drinks. Thought charging 100 baht for those two were a little picky and staff just argued every point and would not let us leave without paying. Know now. Will try another location.

The resort grounds are stunningly beautiful, with each chalet set in its own private spot amongst the tropical lushness. The 2 swimming pools are also surrounded by lovely greenery, so you always feel 100% connected to nature...even the impressively large restaurant is full of rustic charm. And of course, as with nearly all the hotels I have stayed at in Thailand, the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and courteous.
The shower part of the bathroom doesn't have any brick divide preventing water flow to the rest of the bathroom...we managed this problem by angling the shower head into the corner with the drain.

I like the room , it is spacious , clean and high ceiling. There are 2 swimming pools and breakfast is nice. Double Bed is big enough to fit 3 ppl. Room in the pic is with extra bed charge. I like the traditional room style upstairs of breakfast hall.
There are many chipped dishes serve at breakfast. The place is quiet far to eat out for dinner near by. A lar carte menu is not much if you are staying more than 2 days, you won't have much choice. Traditional massage is very expensive and duration is super short for the price , compare to Bangkok.

The breakfast buffet was great and the restaurant was generally very tasty. I liked how quiet it was and the grounds had ample space for walking about. The massage was not bad too but nothing special, reasonably priced though. Previous reviews said the wifi was poor in the room, which was kinda true, but I found it still good enough (if you sit in certain spots) to get work done, if you're just sending emails or browsing the net. The wifi at the restaurant or lobby is very fast, so if you have video calls etc. you would have to sit there, but there are tables and chairs.
There were plenty of activities but it felt a little overpriced - the prices are more 'western' pricing, and it feels like that is the case because the only activities in the entire area are ones organised by the resorts along the river, which are all fairly expensive. For example, I think it would cost $50 USD per person for a 15 min 2-way boat ride up river to do some activities (3-4h in total), which feels a little pricey for thailand. If you have a car it's better because you can drive out easily but most activities are also 45 min drive away.

Secluded resort located in nature. The atmosphere is very relaxing and peaceful. The view of the river and the rock wall on the other side is just amazing. The resort is mostly quiet, except for the sound from the boat engine from time to time. The room itself is spacious and very clean. The decoration is stylish and straightforward. The bed is comfortable. The lighting in the room is functional and aesthetically pleasing. The bathroom is clean with separation between the toilet and the shower. It would be better with a rain shower. There are many activities to offer and massage on location at quite reasonable prices. The breakfast was a standard buffet with both Western and Eastern styled breakfast. It was decent and filling.
The balcony of the riverview room has a solid wood panel seating that compleately blocks the view from the room, forcing you to only look up at the rock wall and the sky. The TV is pretty useless since it is not a smart TV and only offers local digital TV channels. The in-house restaurant serves food at reasonable prices and can offer room service. The flavor, however, is mediocre. If driving on the dark road leading to the resort is not an issue, I'd recommend dining out.

The size of the bungalow and bathroom was excellent. Having a choice of two pools was a delight. The grounds were well kept and it was lovely to take a walk around the grounds or river. You were truly immersed in the jungle and it was a fabulous place to relax. Pool towels - good quality and as many as you needed Evening meal - excellent and reasonably priced for a hotel Mon village shop - can walk to it, great to support the local community, sold basic essentials. No alcohol but shop 4 mins drive from hotel did, if you needed it.
The breakfast was ok but lacked choice with fruit & pastries & they didn’t get replenished very often The bed was firm as expected in Thailand but even for me, it was too firm

The Reshotel is nothing short of a marvel, a retreat of rare and wondrous beauty. Nestled within an epic rainforest garden, it boasts two pools, each offering a distinct and serene communion with nature. One cannot help but admire the thoughtful design of the grounds, where the hotel and its verdant surroundings coexist in harmonious respect for the ancient trees that predate them. The accommodations, glorious and immaculate, are scattered like jewels throughout the forest, evoking the charm of a dreamlike woodland tale. Every sense is caressed by the abundance of Sai Yok’s nature: the melodies of myriad birds, the gentle rustle of leaves, and the soft murmur of the forest. Here, one feels immersed in a realm untouched by time. The culinary offerings are a testament to the richness of Thai tradition, each dish crafted with a care and skill that elevates it to the extraordinary. The hospitality of the staff reflects the graciousness of their manager, whose warmth infuses every interaction with kindness. The spa, an oasis of rejuvenation, offers treatments of rare expertise; the masseuse, with her deft hands, is a master of her art. Our two days here were nothing short of transcendent, a rare blend of elegance and nature’s splendor. A visit to the nearby Mon village, with its ethereal atmosphere, crowned the experience. Truly, Reshotel is a haven beyond compare, a place where the soul finds both solace and inspiration
Completely isolated from the world, so only accessible from the river. There's nowhere else to go. Not everyone's cup of tea, to be restricted to the hotel grounds, but they are very large grounds in fairness. A cave, forests, temple, river rafting, Mon village, will keep you in adventures for at least a few days..

The location and grounds of the Hotel are fantastic. We had dinner at the hotel both nights and it was very good both evenings, with great menu and the price was very reasonable and the staff very good too. Breakfast Buffett again was very good and varied. The bungalows are spacious , clean and of a very good standard.
We couldn't do any river activities but that's not down to the hotel but coming in rainy season the flow is just too strong for kayak or paddleboard, but with two pools etc, not a problem.

The room was spacious and well equipped with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast choice was very good and we enjoyed the freshly cooked omelettes and muesli. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location by the river and the swimming pools were beautiful.
We found the evening meal al a carte choices for vegetarians rather limited and a bit flavourless. On one of our three evenings we also had to wait a very long time for our meal and then the wrong meal came but this was on a very busy night with many other groups.
