When one drives across the Upper Peninsula to reach folks on the East side of Michigan from the West they have avoided Chicago traffic. And they have entered a virtual wonderland of wildlife. Like nature in the Great Pacific Northwest, nature on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is too big to tame. But luckily, there are Yoopers. The natives comfortable with the integral part they play in the dance. Ronn invites travelers to rest as they traverse the wild in their safe transports. The most important thing about any resting place is the feel. I've stayed at the chains in Manistique. They don't feel like a night in a friend's or family's home. Holiday Motel does. All the comforts, and much less money and hype. Just peaceful, clean, comfy rest. Sounds like they used AI or paid? Nope. Just stop there on my way and back to Petoskey or Port Huron or Holland. Can be pretty tiring. Can trust Holiday Motel to take the edge off for the rest of the drive. It'd be a great base, too, for a couple weeks on and in the water and woods. Yep. Sounding too Marketeer here. Just my true opinion. Makes traveling okay.

This little gem of a hotel was a wonderful surprise. We knew we had chosen something special when we drove up and saw the beautiful flowers and seating options outside. Ronn, the owner, was so welcoming and helpful. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. There was plenty of hot and very cold water, a microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot, nice beds with AMAZING sheets and lots of pillows. Ron invited us to a bon fire, complete with smore's, where there were yard games to play and plenty of seating. Everything about this beautifully refurbished motel was top notch. We will definitely stay again when traveling to the U.P.

The beautiful charm of the morel and staff member was very friendly and very hospitable. The room was newly renovated and very clean. Bed was comfy and relaxing. The bathroom was new, very clean, and had the necessary toiletries and even a blow drayer. Room had a good size friedge and a microwave. Although the rate doesn't include breakfast, the host offers around the clock hot coffee and morning snack bars. We were very happy with our stay.

This is our second time staying at this location. The owner of the property remembered who we were and his service did not change from the previous visit. The owner is a hard worker that makes it his mission to make sure we were comfortable and to make we had everything needed. He even goes as far as to have a bonfire/firepit so we could gather around, for all tenants to enjoy. I recommend all that can please stay.

Room recently updated. Fun decor. Owner Ron was so welcoming. Knowledgeable about activities in area. Most special was nightly bonfire and making s' mores. My 2 young grandchildren had so much fun roasting marshmallows and running around. They had a horseshoe pit. There motto is "check-in as guests, check -out as friends" so true. Enjoyed visiting with others as sitting around bonfire.

The property manager was splendid, accommodating, and made every effort to make our stay pleasant, which it was. Property was reasonably priced, very clean, and within a good, safe environment. Also, the room was technologically advanced with almost individually-accessed wi-if and excellent remote control of the heating and air conditioning.

Property is somewhat remote from Manistique, although not inconveniently so, and the room was small and somewhat dark.

The facility super nice, very clean & the staff was amazingly friendly & helpful. 10/10 Also pet friendly a huge plus. There was a bonfire every night, w s’mores stuff supplied.

The mattresses were horrible, only downfall of the stay were the beds, I would recommended some kind of mattress foam toppers. We had 2 double beds maybe other mattresses were different.

Very convenient location, right off the highway. Large spotless parking lot. When I walked into the office to check in I was greeted with a loud "Welcome". The owner was so helpful. The rooms were clean, fresh and comfortable. Even though breakfast isn't advertised, he had fruit, coffee or tea and granola bars.

The bathroom is a little snug but the water was hot and the towels fluffy.

Welcoming and very friendly owner gave recommendations for things to see in the area. I checked out the boardwalk and ventured out to the red lighthouse. Wished I had time to check out Gulliver and the lighthouse that he also recommended. Room was very clean and recently updated, bed was comfortable. Lovely decor. I would definitely stay here again, thank you!

The booking process was easy. It was very clean and tidy. Bed was super comfortable. Location was perfect. The small refrigerator had a separate freezer that enabled us to freeze some water bottles for our cooler. Most little fridges just have that separate compartment drawer that never really freezes the water bottles. So we were happy to have this. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Ron gave a great recommendation for where to go for a Friday Fish Fry.
