Came with my wife and two daughters for a week's skiing post New Year. A pleasure to visit what is still an 'old school' family owned and run hotel. The village of Alpbach where the hotel is situated is a stunning location within the Tirol and represents the very best example of traditional Austrian alpine lifestyle. Rooms spacious , light, and have what is needed for a family holiday. I was surprised in particular by how good the food was, the restaurant in the hotel serves quality local dishes (all served with style on a pressed white table cloth with a lit candle). The hotel staff were wonderful with my two daughters, and it is well set up for a family skiing holiday - whilst still retaining traditional style and ambiance that can be lost in the interests of maintaining logistics during a skiing trip.

That was my first time in Alpbach and definitely not the last! The hotel views are breathtaking and its interior design and rooms are super cosy, the personnel was really nice and always there to help, the food at the restaurant was really delicious with good prices. I was there for work so I was a little bit worried that the wifi wouldn't work well since we are in the mountains but it didn't fail me.

The only thing I would think about is having fans or mobile ACs for cooling down the rooms. The hotel is wooden built for the harsh winter seasons but during summer, temperature reaches 33 degrees so all the heat stays in the wood and gets released at night. I was also looking for an iron but couldn't find any in the room. I didn't ask in the reception though, they might provide you with that if you ask.

The staff ( in the restaurant and the front desk) are friendly and helpful. The room is cozy. The price is reasonable. I had the dinner twice in the hotel restaurant, very pleased with the quality and taste. :)

my neighbor from upstairs was walking around in the room till very late ( midnight), because it's wooden floor, i could hear everything. i had difficult to sleep for two nights, got woken up very early because of the noise. Fortunately, the hotel staff helped to talk with the upstairs customer, it was better.

Highly recommend this family run hotel. I have stayed here many times and they never fail to make you feel welcome, nothing too much trouble. Fabulous location, bus service right out side.

Good choice of options for breakfast. Dinner was extremely good as well, ended up feeling very full most nights! Very traditional Austrian hotel so don't expect modern - has a charm to it which adds to the experience. Mostly quiet although the apres ski in the bar was quite lively. Also a very nice bar/restaurant next door which was good for a change.

The food was excellent and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff became familiar with the family and there was a lovely atmosphere at the hotel. Dietary requirements were also well understood by staff. Rooms were made up very nicely every day. The sauna in the garden was wonderful.

The dining room was always hot, so no need to pack jumpers for dinner

Absolutely fantastic-everything was great: room, super friendly staff, convenient parking, superb breakfast & dinner, spa with steam bath and outside sauna. We would love to be back :)

The Poste breakfast is delicious with great choice.

Being from UK, I would like to make a cup of tea in my room.
