We recently stayed at Grand View Resort, and it was such an enjoyable experience that we ended up extending our stay by three more days. The hotel’s prime location near White Sand Beach is one of its biggest highlights. It’s also conveniently close to numerous excellent restaurants (like Beach Tango that we like the most or 15 palms that’s good as well), making dining out a breeze. You can dive straight into the ocean directly from the hotel grounds, with convenient access just a few steps from your room. We chose a sea-view deluxe room with a pool, and it was absolutely perfect. The room was comfortable and offered stunning views, making it an ideal place to unwind. What we loved most about the resort was the overall ambiance. The spacious garden, cozy atmosphere, and the privacy of having no tourists passing through the resort’s grounds created a serene and relaxing environment. It truly felt like a peaceful sanctuary amidst the natural beauty of Koh Chang. The staff was another standout feature of our stay. They were always helpful, attentive, and incredibly friendly, making us feel warmly welcomed throughout our visit. A great way to explore the island is by hiring a motorbike, which gives you the freedom to visit other fantastic spots like the Fisherman’s Village or Lonely Beach. Lonely Beach stands out for its alternative vibe and numerous clubs offering live music. On the way to Lonely Beach, make sure to stop for an amazing dinner at El Barrio restaurant. The food there is incredible, but be sure to book a table in advance—it’s a popular spot for good reason! Grand View Resort is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a tranquil, well-located retreat. We’ll definitely be back!

We did miss having a European-style breakfast, but that’s only because Thai dishes feel more like lunch to us. The gym is open from 7 AM to 7 PM, but the early closing time can be a bit inconvenient, especially for those who prefer to work out in the evening. Additionally, it lacks air conditioning (please, correct me if I’m wrong).

The location was perfect. The property is well positioned, clean, and well maintained. Staff was helpful, especially the young porter who was always present and did just about everything around the property. Entrance to water is rocky at first but gets better as you go further in. The steps leading to it could be a hazard and needs replacing before someone gets injured. Nice pool and the gym, even though not being great, does provide a decent workout. There was a foul odor in our first room, and we were graciously upgraded.The upgraded room was very spacious and directly opposite the beach. Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of food selections; hot or cold. If you're going to book this hotel, i would suggest asking for the newer rooms as the older ones are worn. Nice place to stay but expensive for the value in return.

The location of the facility was wonderful. We were able to dine "on the water" and witness the most beautiful sunsets daily. The bay was mostly quiet with very clear water. The experience was 99% what we wished for. The gym was well equipped and realistic for a resort gym. It was located with a sea view and next to the wonderful swimming pool. Both are right next to the sea at the top of the sea wall of the property.

The facility does not have the beach luxury. It makes up for this by providing a set of metal steps with one hand rail leading from its garden area and down to the water. The steps are in need of replacing as the salt water is taking its toll on the metal. At the bottome of the stairs, one day, was rock, which hurts one's feet at one steps off onto the sea floor. The next day the sea had covered the rocks with sand, making for a comfortable stepping onto the sea floor. The swimming pool deck needs to be recoated with a sealant. Getting to Koh Chang from Bangkok was a bit tiring and the transportation company lacking in communication ability (English). Getting through the ferry port gate took time and, without proper communication, was a long wait. Returning took the entire day.

The atmosphere at the resort is very relaxing. From the time I arrived I felt welcomed by the staff. The view from my Oceanview Villa Deluxe room was spectacular from sunrise to sunset. The property is well maintained and well lit for evening strolls.

It would be nice if the resort had a fully functioning restaurant. It would also be nice if the resort added a concrete ramp past the rocky area for better water access. Or, at the least, install a better ladder system.

There's nothing we didn't like. The staff were very helpful and friendly, couldn't do enough for us. What impressed me the most was the cleanliness of public areas and the toilets. A peaceful hotel only yards away from the nightlife.

The overcast weather. This is something the hotel couldn't fix. There's not a thing we didn't like.

The villa was clean and the bed the best one I had during this trip. The poolside view was beautiful

The pool water looked it needed cleaning so no-go. Going to the beach needed a bit of gymnastics as the beach was stony where the metal stairs ended. The breakfast was simply dull.

Gorgeous resort. The view from the pool was amazing. Beds were SO comfy! Great location loads of tasty restaurants in the area along with bars etc.

There were so many bugs in the bathroom at night, all over the walls, behind the toilet and on the floor. The toilet also blocked but thankfully the staff were very quick in fixing that.

The staff are all lovely, especially Patt, who was very friendly and helpful! The accommodation was very clean, with amazing views. We enjoyed it there so much we extended our stay to 3 weeks. The buffet style breakfast had a good variety to suit all. We will definitely return to Grand View!

Great location & wonderful staff. They assisted us to upgrade to a better room and were very helpful with all requests. Fabulous location with direct beach access & lovely restaurant overlooking the ocean. Staff went over and above with help and organised taxi's and made recommendations when asked>>

The location is amazing. The staff were very friendly. The bed was really comfortable.

The breakfast was always cold as the dining area is in an open setting.
