The hotel is perfectly situated on the edge of the beautiful Monpazier market square. It was impeccably renovated in 2023 and is a stunning balance of old and new. It was quiet and very clean. Breakfast was simple but adequate with one of the best cafe cremes I've ever had! There was a well equipped kitchenette and an outside sitting area overlooking the swimming pool.

Our room was well decorated but lacked a big mirror. We're not vain, but it's nice to be able to check how one looks before going out. Whilst the shower was excellent, the space for hairdrying was limited, and blow drying was difficult.

This hotel is impeccable . A stunning renovation marrying the beauty of an old town house with modern architecture . It is perfectly situated in the centre of the medieval town . Our room was spacious , spotlessly clean and provided everything we could need including a lovely bottle of wine and water in the fridge . The bed was enormous and super comfortable . A kettle and coffee pod machine was provided in addition to a small kitchen area and a beautiful terrace over looking the stunning pool and courtyard area. I loved the toiletries in the bathroom . The piece de resistance was the most stunning old fireplace . Breakfast was super providing a lovely range of continental options and the best cafe au lait I have ever had in France . The staff were extremely helpful providing all the information required without being intrusive and couldn’t have been more kind . Monpazier has many superb dining options available within metres of this hotel and to top that the hotel also provides light snacks of galettes or sharing boards in the evening in their beautiful bar. To top it all the hotel is also dog friendly a plus for us . I would return again and again if I could .

I really liked this hotel. The building, derelict for years, has been beautifully restored with excellent attention to historic detail. The furnishings and fixtures are modern and sit well in the space. Comfortable public spaces. Gorgeous walled pool area with comfortable loungers and sofas (pool shut at time of visit - understandably as it was December). Just off the exquisite medieval square it is calm and peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is not a full restaurant but the soup was homemade and the meat and cheese platter plentiful. Perfect 'snacking'. Breakfast was buffet and more continental in style. The bedroom suite was huge with an enormous old fireplace an intetesting feature in the large sitting room. Lighting was elegant, switch and plug fittings stylish and everywhere. The bathroom was cleverly designed with a huge drench shower and a separated WC. Bed was super comfortable. We had a perfect stay and wished it had been longer.

Nothing. I would have liked some more fruit, maybe a fruit salad, along with the offered items from breakfast. The village itself was quiet at this time of year with a number of restaurants and shops closed. It was a restful break, and we enjoyed what was on offer. We will be back in the spring/summer for what I am sure will be a different atmosphere.

Beautifully renovated old building in a fantastic location, on the corner of the central square. Easy, free on-street parking nearby. Comfortable bed, quiet room and complimentary bottle of wine in the fridge. Seating on balcony overlooking swimming pool was a suntrap in the evening. Swimming pool looked beautiful and had comfortable sun loungers and chairs but the water was not heated and the pool was in shade most of the time so it was very cold! There is also a sauna.

Pillows were very soft, sink in the bedroom was odd and had no space to put toiletries. Breakfast was of mixed quality (excellent croissants and coffee but not such good cereal and yoghurt, and the fresh fruit was limited to a couple of pears and some over-ripe grapes).

The location was perfect. The breakfast was good. Staff were extremely helpful and polite.

Unfortunately the coffee machine in our room didn’t work and the hairdryer holder had broken off the wall so it was awkward to use the hairdryer other than putting it in the sink.😬 As the hotel is very new everything looked very clean on first appearance, but the shower and toilet rooms had not been thoroughly cleaned. There were a lot of residue water marks on all the panels which you could wipe off with your hands and dust on the skirting boards. There was nothing to wipe the shower walls after showering which would help to rectify this, ie, a shower scraper.

Stylish new hotel op top location, it had opened only 2 weeks prior to our arrival. Very spacious accommodation, our loft was beautifully renovated with exposed beams, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with marble look, separate bathroom. Well-equipped kitchenette, we appreciated the cold bottle of rose and water, excellent coffee machine. The staff was really lovely, friendly and flexible. Breakfast is limited but good and there are lovely tables outside. Great city pool, with plenty of seating, all beautifully designed, large pool towels are supplied. Wonderful location, right off the main square and the entire hotel has a stylish, luxe ambiance, all with beautiful materials and in great taste. It is lovely to sit outside the hotel at night, there are some tables with wine and nibbles. Parking no problem outside. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again.

Room for improvement is limited to the hygiene and cleaning; Upon arrival, the wc area had a very large puddle of water on the floor, the bathroom also had a large puddle and additionally scattered long black hairs and hair clusters from previous guests. The trashcans under the sink in the kitchenette were still full with trash from previous guests, the wine glasses were dirty. No cleaning was done during our stay of 2 nights (no additional coffee capsules etc). Toiletries are basic; 2 big bottles for shampoo and body lotion. One air conditioner was broken and not fixed during our stay despite our request (it was 37C outside) but luckily the remaining air-conditioning unit worked well and was sufficient.

The hotel is lovely and the room was very attractively decorated. The small elevator worked well, a real plus for us. The staff were cordial and helpful if a little formal.

The room layout was different, so that the shower and the toilet were contained in heavy glass cabinets that opened straight into the room. If privacy is an issue this layout may not work. The sink is in the room but not a problem.

Stunning building in beautiful village. We loved the modern touches in an historical building. Spacious suite with luxury touches. Excellent breakfast which is worth paying extra for. Gorgeous swimming pool and super clean sauna.

Only criticism for feedback would be use of space in deluxe studio, having the dining suite in bedroom area was a bit odd when there was room in the lounge. A small kitchenette would also be useful.

Fantastic property - great and friendly staff. We had a small issue which was sorted immediately. A good breakfast. Fabulous value as well. Fantastically refurbished premises combining the modern and the old. Stunning.

The lighting was a little on the dark side - just a small issue that was not overly important. It doesn't distract from the place or recommendation.

The hotel was finished to a very high standard. The decor was very good, with a wonderful central 17th century staircase. The supplied bottle of white wine was very welcome.

The breakfast was OK, though the croissant were probably the worst I have had, and I have lived in France for over 25 years. The supply of a second armchair would have been welcomed.
