I chose this location because it offered an airport shuttle, and I was traveling with a bicycle in a bike transport bag. They paid for a taxi, so they ensured it was an SUV. That's not easy in Salta. I was able to store the bike in a locked closet right next to the attendant, and both the one when we arrived and the one the following morning were very helpful and pleasant when dealing with this extra burden.

Nothing, considering the price I paid, which included the airport transportation. If I was extra picky, it's always nice to have 2 pillows of a different firmness per person.

The location was great and the service was good also. I really enjoyed that it was well located. The staff was also wonderful. The room was comfortable enough for one night stay.

It was clean but a bit outdated. I also didn’t like that the hotel itself did not have parking. There is a parking garage next to the hotel that you pay extra for it but it is not part of the hotel. This hotel is not terrible but I would highly recommend the hotel next door Hotel Salta which has an old feel too but it is very charming, adorable and has a nice hotel parking complimentary to their guest. It also has a restaurant.

We had a nice corner suite overlooking the plaza. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Loved the old style elevator. Breakfast was ample but got a bit boring after a few times (we stayed 4 nights). Location is uber central, right by the main plaza. Would love to stay there again.

It's an old hotel in a heritage building. Expectedly, modern conveniences may be short or not up to par but the history and vibes of the place more than made up for this.

Location is in the middle of the center. Close to many eating establishments and shopping. Also, many tour operators nearby. I see posts about small rooms but my room was rather big with a French balcony facing the square.

The way one of the receptionist stopped me when I was entering one evening asking for my room number send to see my key. There was a male sitting in the loony who was listening and watching. This made me uncomfortable as I’m a solo female traveler. I also felt it happened due to my race.

The perfect location. Right on the 9 de Julio Plaza, close to restaurants, stores and amenities. The hotel is very charming. It’s still has the old vibe and I like that. Very clean facility. The staff was very professional and very nice to the clients. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was enough to start the day.

Hotel Colonial Salta is a charming small hotel located downtown, in Plaza 9 de Julio. You will live in an old building, with all the facilities, decorated with stylish furniture. The architecture is amazing, and the atmosphere is one of the best I have seen in my travels.

The only thing I didn' t like is the distance from my home;))))

The manager recognised us from our previous stay a few days earlier and was kind enough to upgrade our room (the bathroom was slightly larger in room 214 vs 220 where we stayed previously). We unfortunately had a very early flight the following morning which meant we were unable to partake of the lovely breakfast spread that we had had on our previous stay.

Lovely old-fashioned hotel right in the middle of Salta, on the main square. Location is perfect, they have an arrangement with a nearby garage so you can park your car there for free. Breakfast is good, bed is comfortable, room and bathroom simple but clean, AC not noisy, staff are kind and professional. The hotel is full of original features and overall charming.

Breakfast was really nice! Great location and cool vibes in the historic hotel. Comfy bed and clean room. Can be noisy at night being so close to the main square but didn’t bother us too much. Would stay here again!

Very nice and charming hotel just in front of the central square in Salta. Nice and helpful staff. Breakfast is okay too. You are right in the spot of Salta, but still very little noise from the streets. Here you really get the atmosphere of “colonial ambience”. Everything works fine, we stayed here twice, and would definitely go the again. You really get value for the money.
