The staff and customer service absolutely made this hotel- they remembered our names and made us feel like honoured guests. The food was delicious, with an excellent variety of vegetarian and pescetarian. Whilst we didn't have any other particular dietary requests, they checked in with us multiple times ahead of the reservation and on our arrival so I would be confident that these would be accommodated for if we had any. The rooms were comfortable with good Aircon, and the outdoor showers felt like a real luxury. We were in the garden view villa so didn't have direct beach access, but we quite enjoyed the view of palm trees and plant life from the bathroom! Whilst there we used the spa and snorkeling. Both were really well organised and the spa especially was exceptional- the traditional Indonesian and Balinese massages were absolute highlights of the trip for me! The snorkeling was amazing- I had never been before and the guides took us to an amazing location where we saw many turtles and fish amongst a diverse and colourful reef- absolutely worth doing if you are visiting! Most of the guests were avid divers but there were lots of options if that wasn't an option for you, and we didn't feel like we missed out by snorkelling instead. We felt really safe on the snorkelling trip (both of us were a bit anxious and felt very reassured). They also took reef conservation very seriously, which we were really pleased to see. My partner also surprised me with a romantic meal on the beach organised by the hotel, which was a 5 course delicious set menu, featuring some absolutely delicious fresh seafood that felt really special. The beach and the pool were also lovely - it's a hot island so having the space to cool down in the water was very much needed! We absolutely loved our time at Siladen and would absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone!
The bill paying at the end can be a little daunting! Whilst prices with the optional extras (such as alcoholic beverages and spa treatments) were made clear to us, the snorkelling costs were slightly less clear overall. I think a snorkelling package option might have been nice so we knew the fixed cost. However, we felt the price was very reasonable, and we felt like the hotel had gone out of their way to make the prices clear, it was likely because we hadn't visited a diving resort before so were less familiar! So a little more clarity for newbies would have been nice there. But as it's a pay-at-the-end set up, would recommend anyone on a budget to keep an eye on costs as you go.

Our stay at Siladen was fabulous. The snorkeling on the house reef was full of hard and soft corals with so much to see. The dive boats took us out to some amazing places which we really enjoyed. The boats are all in good condition and well kept. The dive staff was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The room was beautiful and clean. There was free wifi. The food was really good and varied. There was usually a large buffet and also a station where they prepared your order. On two occasions it was a sit down service. Lots of good options. They had really nice entertainment, including the local town choir. The spa...well I would go back just for the spa. They had free yoga classes and an informational talk about marine life (nudibranchs) one night. Very inclusive atmosphere among the guests and staff. Staff was super efficient if there was ever a problem. Very welcoming management. Great stay!

Staff was amazing, dedicated, friendly to us and to each other, called us always by first names, immediately picked up our special needs and requests, attending to every detail ! Food was exceptional (all meals) : very creative chef, using local fresh ingredients. Dive Centre is one of the best I have seen (and I dived in >12 resorts in South East Asia). It is run like a precision machine, and always trying to satisfy the guests wishes. We had an amazing trip to the highlands also. Very relaxing atmosphere. AMAZING, AMAZING AMAZING !!!!!
internet signal in our room was a bit slow

All amenities and services are excellent. The food is always above expectations. The most exceptional aspect of the resort is the staff. The standard is set by the managers, Anna and Miguel who make sure that each guest feels welcome. All the staff know the names of the guests and are happy to greet you by name. The scuba diving operation is superb. Dive guides are expert in finding and identifying marine life. Your guide stays with you for your entire diving schedule. The spa is also great and quite reasonably priced.
All good. I'll be back!

Everthing Kind staff knowing everyone’s name An efficient management team Wonderful spa and delicious food changing everyday Experienced dive master who made me confident during my PADI open water course
For people sleeping light, beach villa may be a better choice (no need to share the wall with the neighbor which is the case for my garden villa)

Everything! Perfect stay. The location, the massages, Ana, Marco and the whole Siladen staff, the facilities, the snorkeling, the yoga, the lectures, the room. We can go on and on! Everything was amazing, but most of all the staff really made us enjoy our stay! Thanks so much Siladen, it was really a unique experience and all the small details of offering such great service and care made us feel super relaxed! We really hope to come back one day and see you all again. Congratulations on all you do.

Long list. The people: They were always cheerful and pleasant and would go way out of their way to ensure we were pleased. The Resort: Incredible, beyond beautiful. Clearly a well thought out landscape and well manicured. The buildings are clean and well maintained. The food: not only was the food great, the restaurant team was flexible to support special needs or requirements. Diving: While a bit disappointed there not being any larger animals, the sites varied and the dive guides seemed to know where the macro shots were. All of my dives were two divers to a dive guide and had the same guide every dive. A shout-out to Alwin, the best guide I could have asked for. We do travel a lot (57 countries and growing) and have had many great stays. This resort / location will be regarded as one of the best we have enjoyed so far.
While out of their control, just off the beach There are large amounts of sea grass while does limit the swimming options a bit.

There really is nothing that we didn't like. But maybe, even though they are already doing a lot to clean the beach daily and remove ocean plastic, the only small detail/feedback we can give is the amount of plastic that comes from Manado city that's still stuck in the seagrass at low tide. If possible to remove this (or maybe include/organize beach clean ups for resort guests?) that would be recommended.

10 points on every aspect! It all started with a friendly welcome at the airport where we got picked up to transfer to island, once there we enjoyed a warm welcome and introduction to the resort and diving center, everyone from the staff knew our names after the first night, food was georgeous, the villas very clean and calm, very motivated dive guides - just a perfect place to relax & dive
Nothing - hopefully not our last time at Siladen

A great place to stay to explore Bunaken National Park. The staff is super helpful and will make you feel at home from the very beginning. Villas are very nice, clean and comfortable. The food served is amazing, great variety of choices and the presentation is outstanding making you feel you're eating at the Michelin star venue. The house reef is nice though those truly worth a while require a boat ride that the resort can arrange (the whole day trips and snorkeling trips are excellent too by the way). The staff at the dive center are also very helpful and flexible to accommodate your snorkeling/diving needs. Room service is provided twice a day.
To snorkel you have to walk to the jetty, not far but can't do it off the beach. The beach in front of the resort is average. The one near the jetty is poor as local people live nearby with boats parked. The concrete jetty is quite ugly but doesn't belong to the resort.
