Location-wise, this place is close to all the nearby restaurants and has direct beach access. We stayed in a deluxe room while my kids stayed on the upper level standard room. The property features a beautiful infinity pool and sea view. The rooms have air conditioning, fan and safe box; the deluxe room has a larger TV with Netflix, while my kids’ standard room had a smaller TV with regular cable. A minibar is available for an additional charge, of course it comes handy for breakfast if you’re not a big breakfast person and ok with noodles and coffee. You get a complimentary pitcher of water (refillable) However, we were mostly out exploring the beach, nearby restaurants, and enjoying water sports.

This place is not friendly for families with oldies, the staircase to the main road is a killer! So make sure you’ve got enough stamina, strong quads and calves to climb them when leaving the property :) specially with bags! The pool is small and mostly cloudy though they clean it everyday so I am not sure if it’s the amount of chlorine. I guess this is the only thing we didn’t appreciate.

Nice guesthouse with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean, and the housekeeping service is very efficient. The new owner gave us great advices about White Beach, such as where to find an ATM and showing the way to a shortcut to the town center. The stairs can be difficult with luggages, but you can ask for assistance at the reception. From 3 PM, the beachfront gets shadow, allowing you to enjoy the beach without worrying about sunburn. Finally, we accidentally broke a coffee mug, and the hotel only charged us a fair price of 100 PHP.

We will definitely return to Playa Blanca for our next relaxing vacation, but we would appreciate it in the future if the internet bandwidth could be improved in all rooms. Currently, it is too slow for advanced usage. More and more visitors have regular online jobs… just our experience.

Perfect beach view from room and from hotel terasse - could not be better great options for diving and snorkelling - playa blanca hat an own diving resort. Very skilled and nice divemaster and friendly and competent owners and personnel. Family-rum place. Own comfortable and fast dive board, good material for rental. We had many excellent diving and snorkelling trips. They also have travek agnecy (super convenient) Beach ist good, beautiful sandy beach, paradise. Good restaurants and bars. Pictures in booking com represent reality 100%.

We liked everything. Unfortunately have to leave.

This is the second time we have stayed here, and we will continue to keep coming. The view has to be the best View of White Beach that you could get. I will often stay on the Balcony looking out over the Beach. The Hotel now serves food, Which it didnt used to do under the old Management. We found the food to be first class, with very Generous portions. The Breakfast was perfect for starting your day right.

The only downside is the steps going to the rooms, not for the fainthearted. Having said that I am 65 with COPD and two dodgy knees and I can do it. But this wont be an issue for much longer as they are having a Lift (Elevator) Fitted. This will make it our first choice of hotel in peurto Galera for many years to come.

Beautifully situated looking down on and up White beach, this budget hotel offers amazing views, decent amenities, and a quiet area while still just a few minutes walk to the center of the action! The hotel is built up the side of a hill on the southern end of the beach, and includes four or five levels with about three rooms per floor. I had a Queen Seaview room, and it overlooked the pool, and I highly recommend the rooms on this level - rooms 6, 7, and 8. We all spent hours every day just sitting enjoying the view under our covered, semi-private balcony. The only significant issue to be aware of are that there are lots of stairs involved, and coming down from the top parking lot, it must be 7-8 flights of steep stairs. So don’t book this place if you have any physical restrictions! We rented scooters, and I’d recommend parking next door at Summer Connections for a dollar a day, and limit your amount of stair climbing! The place is pretty basic, and a little dated, but the rooms are large, and reasonably well cleaned. There’s no daily maid service, but they will clean if asked, and provide TP, towels, etc. as requested. I’ll definitely return asap, and in fact, the couple that we were traveling with booked another stay for the following month 😊

The only significant disappointment was the pool’s maintenance; there seemingly was no regular cleaning, despite the daily strong winds common in the area that blow lots of stuff into the pool. I’d ask for cleaning and then it’d eventually get done, but to have such a beautiful asset and not take care of it to maximize its use seems kinda crazy. It should be cleaned every morning, without fail!

The staff are attentive and reliable. The view is spectacular. They have what you need so you don't need it in case you get hungry and don't wanna go out at night, the fridge is full. If you run out of water, they can also provide it. Life jackets too, assistance in tours and water activities, you name it! And I love how quiet the airconditioner is... this is mostly a problem in local hotels.

If given a chance,I'd love to have a thicker window curtain in case we wanna sleep in. Otherwise, all great! And oh just a little careful on the stairs specially if you're on the top floors. Otherwise, it's all good.

We arrived in Puerto Galera a lot later than expected and received a lovely friendly phone call from the staff asking if we were ok and checking to see if we needed help on the way to the accommodation. All the staff were so friendly and helpful if we asked anything. They helped us book snorkeling and island hopping trips and also arranged for us to have our ferry tickets (for when we had to leave) delivered to the resort. They then brought these up to our room. We were lucky enough to be invited to the Christmas parties and have the delicious food, including fresh yellow fin tuna sashimi. We loved the ocean view from the 4th floor shared balcony and from the balcony right outside our 3rd floor room and the fact Playa Blanca has a swimming pool that also looks directly out to the ocean. The location of Playa Blanca is down the quieter end of White Beach so it is not noisy at night and it is still within walking distance to restaurants. It is also about a 10 minute walk up to the main street if you need to go to the shops up there. We did some snorkeling outside the resort that was ok, but make sure you take a snorkeling trip to the Coral Gardens. The snorkeling there is amazing. We would definitely stay at Playa Blanca again as the value for money was great and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. The owners of Playa Blanca as well as the staff made the holiday fantastic.

Location-wise, Playa Blanca is among the top beachfront properties at White Beach, Puerto Galera. It boasts one, if not the best view among all hotels in the area. It also has a small swimming pool which gives the guest an excellent option to soak in the beautiful view of the beach at any time of the day. On top of these, Playa Blanca is situated at the end of the white beach which makes the place quieter. The sand on this side of the beach is much better as well. It’s like you are stepping on a huge pillow all the while swimming in the sea. All of these features are the selling points of Playa Blanca which should be enough to convince you to stay at their property shall you visit Galera’s White Beach.

While the room is decent, there are still lots of simple things to improve upon. Firstly, the room where we stayed at (queen deluxe room) has a very dim light. The pillows and blanket are also small and thin. The ACU works fine but is hard to operate. The access stair also needs to be improved as it can be precarious to use for some.

View from pool is very good. Our room is beside the pool. Room is clean and does not smell smoke. A lot of nearby restaurants. The food is ok but the chef needs to leave after our first day of stay.

The steps are very steep. Hard for people with babies. The owner said that they are putting elevator so this is not an issue later on. Suggest to always replace rugs in the bathroom every morning because it becomes very wet after use. Suggest to have clothes/towel hanger outside the room.

If you want peace of mind and a place that isn't crowded, I recommend Playa Blanca and Their food is very delicious and the foreign owner is very hospitable. The stairs are also great🤣🤪

There are people who will offer you an inland tour, but I recommend you rent a motorbike for 400 peso so you can look around. However, if you get a tour guide, you will pay 2000 pesos for 2pax . Also if you want to go snorkeling I recommend you to do DIY.
