As a family of 5, we had a suite and a double room. The hotel is decorated in a modern way and beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful when the reception was open. Parking was readily available on the side street just outside the hotel. Proximity to the grocery store across the street was very handy. Walking to the main part of town was only 15 minutes and it is beautiful.

Our rooms were on the third floor in the slanted ceiling. It was August, and the days were quite warm, which meant the rooms were warm when we returned. A fan was provided in one room, which worked to cool it off enough to sleep comfortably, the other room stayed quite warm.... a fan in each room may have helped. The only surprise we had was the German Tourist tax that we had to pay upon checkout... I do not remember seeing this when I booked through booking.com

Check-in process was easy when I arrived after 19:00. The receptionist was so kind to help me with a code for the key beforehand (I made a call after reserving a room) and prepared all arrangements, so we even didn’t have to meet in person, they answer really quick on all spontaneous bookings, I’m so grateful for that. I liked how the room was furnished, and it was rather big. TV screen with many German channels was big too, it was possible also to connect to one’s own Netflix. The ceiling was high and window is letting much light in, the curtains are nice and covering from outside lights and noises. Everything is renovated and fresh. The electric kettle was there and also some tea, coffee, sugar, as well as water and a drink. When leaving check out was also very smooth and rapid, thank you!

I had two pillows on the double bed, one of them was with someone’s hair, so I picked another side of the bed, where pillow was clean. However, the room I booked was for one person. There was a weird smell in the bathroom, not too bad, but noticeable, so I had to ventilate it and keep the door closed.

The walk to the beach was easy, about 10 minutes, and to the old town, about 15 minutes. The soundproof walls plus the room having a courtyard view made it a very quiet room. The shower was fairly large, larger than most in our European travels. We appreciated that the room had a small refrigerator, kettle for heating water, hair dryer, and free wi-fi. If an elevator is needed, there is one. The hotel has been nicely updated on the inside while keeping the lovely historic outside appearance.

The bed was fine, but a little softer than we prefer. It was a European king size, which is approximately the size of a US queen size bed.

Kind helpful crew and even if not manned reception they can make sure you get your room. Have a few parkings out the back but you may have to look for one on the streets if you are late.

The extra bed (bed sofa) was a bit hard (complaints from the child). But overall a very good place to stay.

We had a very nice suite at the Hanseat. It was clean & comfortable and had a great view of the surroundings. The lady on reception was very helpful and great to deal with

We loved this facility and didn’t find anything not to like! It would have been nice if breakfast was included.

Newly renovated hotel with pretty good amenities. Good value for money, we feel. Not far from the harbor and the old city of Stralsund. Clean and stylish.

Fridge was underpowered. It was hard to make our room on the western side of the hotel dark enough at night, so we slept slightly less well than we would have liked.

Great location: 10 mins on foot away from both centre and beach. Very clean and new, super comfortable mattress, perfect silence. Staff was very welcoming. We would come again!
