Nice, freshly refurbished hotel, everything seemd new. Large rooms, clean bathroom with automatic Toto toilets, lots of different lighting options. Free parking outside of the hotel. Also you cannot beat the location it is inside Alishan National Park, so in the morning you can start your hike straight from the hotel. Reception spoke English.

They only turn on central heating when indoor temperature drops to 7 celsius, which is crazy, but they had electric blankets, and it was not very cold in the rooms despite outside temperature was close to 0 celsius at night. So it was not a big issue for me, but if you feel always cold in the winter, this is somethis guests should consider. It was my most expensive accomodation during my 2 week stay in Taiwan, but yes location is everything, it is inside ALishan National Park and you have to pay the premium price for that.

Great location, convenient walking access to the restaurants and shops in the main area, as well as to the station. Recently renovated and clean. Comfortable bed. Staff really warm and friendly. Appreciative that the hotel offers complimentary transfer service to/fro the entry point of the park (ticket booth); you just need to send them a message via LINE.

Understandably, no disposable bedroom slippers provided but it would have been nice if there was. Wasn’t confident that the reusable rubber flip flops provided were sanitised. As Alishan’s climate is generally cool, there isn’t any air conditioning but you can open the windows and it’s generally comfortable. However, without the curtains drawn, there’s little privacy.

Location is perfect to stay right at the entrance of the Aishan Recreation Área. It's a 2 min walk to train that takes visitors to the start of main trails of the park. Hotel looks like it has just been refurbished. All fresh and clean. Bed was standard double but comfy. We had a great rest while in room. Very quiet! Bathroom had walk-in wet (shower) room and toilet had controls for water jet and heated seat. Very convenient drinking hot/cold water machine was available in our floor. The room had a very big panoramic window partly facing the jungle and the view was very pleasant. We had a car and there was free parking in front of hotel reception. Staff at reception spoke perfect English, had all the info with maps ready for us.

Breakfast is not served in the hotel. It's a buffet in a restaurant up where all coaches arrive and other turists also have breakfast there. It was very busy and loud in there! It was kind of outdoors, in a walkway of the plaza outside train station. Everyone sits in communal tables. It was cold outside and not pleasant. Actually the whole restaurant and shops plaza area is quite grim and utilitarian.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming! They gave us great suggestions on walking the trails and where to eat. The hotel has recently been renovated and is very well presented. The beds were very comfortable, and the hotel provided local tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast is a voucher for a local eatery which was plentiful and delicious local food. It felt very communal as most of the hotels in the area do the same for their guests. We would highly recommend staying in Alishan overnight to enjoy the sunset and sunrise, and to the Sea of Clouds. And we’d highly recommend this property. Thank you to the staff for such warm and friendly hospitality.

The hotel shuttle bus picked me up promptly from the bus station after my journey from Sun Moon lake. Communication was good. I arrived at mid day and was able to leave my bags and follow the instructions given by Tiffany at reception as to how to get the best experience from the park and how to get there. Tiffany gave me a map with all restaurants, shops, information centre, forest paths, gardens, sacred trees, temples, shuttle bus stops and forest train stops on it. After returning from the park and getting access to my room I booked the hotel sunrise tour. Tiffany speaks very good english and is very professional and is also very helpful. The room was comfortable and there was good lighting and space for my belongings. There is no carpet so feels slightly chilly but the electric blanket on the bed was great later on. I had dinner in the town The bed was extremely comfortable. There was coffee and tea and a flask for hot water from the dispenser in the corridor. The room was clean and freshly decorated. The shower room also seemed new and the shower was hot and powerful. The bus for the sunrise tour left on time in the morning and we were one of the first ones there at the viewing point so we got a good position at the front. The weather was great with no clouds and we needed the dark glasses our driver handed out. The tour also included visiting a huge sacred ancient tree, it was worth the journey down the steps to see it. Afterwards the hotel bus dropped us off close to the restuarant where we had an excellent breakfast using the hotel voucher Tiffany had given us. After checkout I was able to store my bags and Tiffany gave me good advice on how to see the rest of the park in the short time i had before the shuttle bus took me to the bus station to catch my bus to Fenqihu.

There was some noisy plumbing in the bedroom that seemed to happen when people in other rooms were having showers. Not a huge problem for me.

Really nice and helpful staff - allowed us to check in early, gave recommendations on how to get the most out of our first day, convenient tour to the sunset lookout, free shuttle to the bus stop when we left. Had a very comfortable stay. Same location as most of the other hotels here but the proximity to restaurants is very handy too. We didn’t have great weather on the two mornings so missed out on sunrise tour and also didn’t wake up for breakfast - it’s in the main restaurant area of the village so we decided not to walk to it in the rain but it does look good.

The hotel is very convenient to walk to trails/train station in Alishan, it is also close to other facilities as well. The room is clean and the view is decent. Staffs were very friendly, they are quite fluent in English, and were very helpful with our questions. The breakfast exceed our expectations, it is a buffet in Taiwanese style, very delicious. There is also a parking right in front of the hotel for those who drive.

The bathroom is small, and after taking a shower, the whole room gets wet. Although, they have a slipper available. The sound proof is not very good, if you are a light sleeper, it might be problematic, especially people here tends to wake up around 4-5 am for the sunrise.

Great location within the Alishan Recreation Area and only around a 5 min walk to Alishan Train Station. There is free parking outside the hotel. The shower and wifi worked well and the hotel looked quite new or newly refurbished compared to others in the area. Reception staff were very friendly. A van tour to watch the sunrise and a stargazing tour were offered in reception for a small fee. The room price was reasonable for it's location within the park. Note that you still have to pay for entry and parking on arrival at the recreational area, even if you are staying the night there.

The room was very compact, but we did book a "small double room", so I this was to be expected.

The staffs are very helpful and one of them speak English, she provided lots of information about how to spend the time within the park.

Shower room completely wet after shower, having difficulty to open the door. Water dispenser was right in front of our door, some guest getting water early at 5 am and having phone conversation right in front at the door step. The entrance door of the room was pretty tight for us when we tried to enter with backpack on our back. Breakfast provided at the restaurant was cold, we went to a different breakfast restaurant for a better food by paying ourselves.

Perfect location in Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated and is in excellent condition, with modern, clean rooms.

When you check out, you have to hang around for a few minutes while the staff go and check you haven't damaged your room. I've never experienced this anywhere before and, while not the end of the world, it does feel like you're being treated like a troublesome child not a customer who's paid over NT$4000 for a room.
