Cultural and historical preservation. Clean hotel and rooms, incredible food, friendly staff. Old world 6th floor front desk of historical building nice. Easy Access to walking paths and train. High quality experience. 2nd time here and won’t be last.

Aside from lounge bench, historical rooms seem lacking decor, vibe, and space compared to modern rooms. Kicked my toe hard while going into bathroom. Didn’t nice the raised floor. Not sure if there was a sign but maybe some kind of padding or larger sign might help. Smoking right outside entrance to historical rooms. Cannot go in without walking through smoke smell.

Can't beat the location and the views from the rooftop of the hotel. It was close to major trailheads and easy to get around via their hotel shuttle.

Excellent! The hotel is situated in a prime area, close to major attractions and walking trails . The room was spacious and well-maintained. The bathroom was clean with good-quality toiletries. The breakfast and dinner buffet had a great variety, with both local and international options. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Special shoutout to the front desk for their quick check-in/check-out process and accommodating our requests. A fantastic stay overall! Would definitely recommend Alisha Hotel and look forward to staying here again.

We were upgraded to bigger room size in the modern building, which is exceptional experience. And we like the warm welcome and helpful service by the staffs in lobby. The room heater was just perfectly work in this cold weather, and we were relieve to have a hot bath after long hours of hike. I would recommend to stay in Alishan Hotel again as it is still the best one in Alishan Recreation Park.

The Wifi did not work well in the room. Balcony is mouldy but the scenic view is perfect for photos. Buffet styled breakfast and dinner even with a lot of variety but the taste is fair only.

Location was good with easy access to all the attractions, staff Jeff was good and helpful at reception, buffet dinner and breakfast were OK, shuttle bus service staff was very helpful and courteous

Luggage service staff terrible, need to be reminded we had 3 pieces a few times, waved me over to ask me whether I wanted them to bring the bags to our room; reception staff generally no smile; we stayed at the Premier Suite, AC has to be turned off because of the noice and inability to bring the room temperature down below 20 degrees; balcony quite run down with banging insect screen door

Shuttle bus goes to train station/bus interchange, which is convenient. Excellent location. Staff are nice and helpful. Can go to rooftop to watch the sunset. Buffet dinner and brekkie are delicious, yet slightly underwhelming considering how much it costs for 1 night. About the room itself, really not much to say, everything is fine and lives up to a 4 star.

Complementary drinks and snacks aren’t really necessary for me, however it’s still covered in the room charge I believe (along with this many other services which I don’t really make use of, and you don’t have a choice to go without all these and get a cheaper price)

Alisha is a hotel with lots of memories. It was one of the Honeymoon hotels we stayed 40 years ago. Although the facilities are more modern now, the location and its hospitality are the same. We enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful attractions throughout the national park. Will definitely come back soon.

The only thing I suggest for improvement is the rooftop viewing platform. Perhaps due to the rain in the mountains, the platform was kind of muddy and unsightly. If that can be taken care of, the viewing experience would be much more pleasant.

The breakfasts and dinners are excellent. Great variation and good quality. It offers free snacks, free mini bar, free laundry, which are great plus. The location is idea and the shuttle bus is a great asset. The roof terrace is a wonderful location to enjoy colourful sunset.

The lobby is somehow small. I was not sure the purpose of red ribbons around sofas at lobby. I hesitated to use the sofas when I was at lobby. The 50’s cafe is pricey. It requires a minimum spending and charged 10% service fee.

The location was unparalleled. The shuttle service was also really useful. Staff were very kind and understanding.

Because of its fairly exclusive site, it was quite expensive for what it was, and while clean and a good hotel, not quite a luxury experience. Despite an ambitious and admirable spread, dinner buffet was underwhelming in its quality. Though appreciating the difficulty of catering to a large hotel with limited personnel and resources, we would recommend potentially having more simple a la carte options such as steaks (generally acceptable to both western and Asian audiences) as the food sitting in buffet platters for too long affected the quality of some dishes.

Great service at check-in, and they even gave us a bottle of wine since it was our anniversary. The half-board was convenient so that we didn't have to worry about where to find dinner, and the buffet had a lot of options including vegetarian selections, with very good food quality. We came to see the sunrise over the mountain on our anniversary, and they had a convenient early-morning shuttle to the train station that left in time to catch the 5:10am train to the top of the mountain (side note, in the high season be sure you bought your train tickets beforehand, because by the time you get to the station the platform will be very crowded and the train boards soon after you get there on the hotel shuttle).
