A very quiet and pleasant Chambre d’hotes set in a deeply rural location. The bedroom was in a loft with skylight view over a garden. Excellent breakfast. Shared bathroom and separate lavatory two steps our from room. All clean and well maintained. Most welcoming and friendly hosts.

We were traveling as a family and so booked two rooms which had a shared bathroom. everything was very clean, breakfast was lovely and our hosts were very friendly. We arrived late and this was no problem to the hosts.

I didn't read close enough and did not realize that the bathroom is shared with another room but it wasn't a bother.

We stayed for one night to break up our journey. No other guests were staying so the shared bathroom and toilet was ours alone. The garden is lovely, our baby enjoyed looking at the chickens and patting the loud but friendly dog. We appreciated the provision of a cot and high chair, and the breakfast was good. The hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming, though as other reviews have mentioned they are keen to share their unorthodox worldview - they invited us for an evening drink and we had a fairly one-sided discussion about their beliefs in various conspiracy theories.

The room was very hot but it was the warmest May on record so maybe not much could be done. Bed was a bit soft for us. Bit of a drive to the nearest town for dinner. Baby didn't appreciate the cockerel crowing in the early morning, though we had the window open due to the heat.

The hosts were super friendly and very nice, although some guests might find them overpowering. They are lovely honest people with strong convictions. I was treated on arrival to a drink and a piece of home cooked cake. The cottage is in a most peaceful location and the light pollution except from the few houses in the hamlet is non existent so the stars are magnificent. The guest rooms are upstairs and the two rooms share a bathroom and separate toilet, although when I was there I was the only guest. My room had a small velux window which was great for a bedroom for me but not to spend any time in the room. It was magnificent to lie in bed and watch the many stars overhead. An efficient heater was at hand and I was never cold even though at this time of year the nightime temperature can still drop. I was assured by the host that in summer the nights are pleasant too and it does not get so warm that it can be hard to sleep. Breakfast was very good - egg, followed by cheese and ham with warmed baguette and or croissant, yoghurt fruit juices jams etc - great set up for the day. I travelled with two dogs and they were made welcome too. A small charge of €10s was made for the extra cleaning which was reasonable. I was given good advice on where to visit and other arrangements for my travel

I found the mattress rather unsupportive and think I could feel springs. However, when I slept on top of the duvet, the mattress was much better. Maybe the hosts could consider a mattress topper.
