I totally loved the location of Hibiscus Valley Inn. You are truly in the jungle. Beautiful flowers. Your hut can be cleaned daily if you need it. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available, and they are able to cater to your requirements. The bus is accessible, and if you are willing to wait, you can catch the bus to the airport. Friendly atmosphere It was really a luxury to relax on the hammock outside my room. It is under the roof, so you can even relax on it when it's raining without getting wet. It was lovely to see all the butterflies, hummingbirds, and lizards all living in harmony.

All negative things are just island life things. Nothing extra ordinary. The walls between the huts are very thin. So hope that your neighbour isn't loud. The huts are private, but if you are a family with little kids, just be mindful that screaming, crying, and shouting can be heard by the other huts. Because the roads are generally whiney, the echo of the car horns can be heard throughout the day and night. It's a nice idea to go to the river to take a bath, but be aware of the sand flies!!! They completely devoured my arms and legs. I wish someone had warned me before going. I caught the bus to the main town. It was such an enjoyable experience. And it's super easy to find your way back.

I really had a great time at the Hibiscus Valley Inn. The location is really great, I love the east side of Dominica. If you like to be a bit secluded and feel close to nature, you will love this place. I was primarily here to hike (Waitukubuli Trail), without a rental car it's probably a bit difficult here. But if you want to experience Dominica, the nature and the simplicity, this place is just right. The staff at the resort are just great, Nigel, Shine and Rita, to name but a few, are simply an asset. I felt so comfortable and wanted for absolutely nothing. I will be back, next time with my lovely wife. Thank you so much Hibiscus Valley Inn for a great stay.

Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was ok. Dinner was served in the hotel (extra cost). Then there wasn't need to go to Marigot city (5 km away). You also meet other tourists when having dinner all over the world and you can share hints what to do and where to go. There were some local drinks (based on rum) in the bar with different flavours. The hotel took me to the airport (with extra cost though). There were some birds singing in the bushes next to the main building, where the breakfast and dinner were served. I did a hike (not trail, but road). It starts 15 mins from the hotel (close to the school), then it goes up to the mountain, then back to "the highway" (like local people say), then 15 mins back to the hotel. Staff know this route. Reserve 4 hours and a lot of water and some energy (I bought some bananas and candies). It is just 10 km, but the road goes up and down all the time. It feels like 20 km. I was pretty tired when I came back. The weather was pretty warm and humid, too.

If you don't like something, then you shouldn't live "in a jungle". There were some ants in the room. A gekko, too. I became a friend with the gekko. I think that it ate ants. I kept all windows open (there is a mosquito net in all windows and above your bed) all the time and fan next to my bed was on. So it was pretty cool during night time, so I slept well. So if you like to live in the middle of the nature, this is good option. I liked. (anyway I put my comments here as a warning to clients, who rather stay in a hotel).

The most amazing setting!! Smelt so beautiful with all the flowers… loved all the wildlife, humming birds, lizards, frogs. Felt like a little bit of paradise! Staff friendly and helpful. Great to have a river to take a dip in.

It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room, especially if you wanted to keep the ants away from any snacks… they do provided a Tupperware box but it didn’t really work. And would keep some bottles of water cold. The shower needed a little attention and the pressure wasn’t great but it had hot and cold and did the job.

Spacious, comfortable wooden cabins in the heart of the jungle, perfect for nature lovers. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the whole team (especially Omari and Nigel) were so friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home. Easy access to river tubing and the Kalinago territory - but as most places on the island, we’d recommend having a car to make the most of the area.

Hibiscus Inn is a lovely place that I would go to again. Every member of the staff is truly wonderful. It is run in both a professional as a friendly manner. We stayed in a hut just a little walk from the reception area and we felt very much at home there. The meals we had at the accommodation were all very tasty. The breakfast each morning was just right! The adorable hotel dogs were a lovely bonus.

Our neighboring guests were a bit loud

Great little houses surrounded by a lush garden. We stayed two days and had a very nice time. The staff is very nice and the accommodation is clean and tidy. Ask for one of the infused rums at the bar!

The houses are a bit small, you can hear a little bit of road noise and we thought the breakfast was nice but a little bit expensive. The overall price was great thought!

A lovely property with locally inspired cottages settled within lush gardens. The hammock on the patio was my favorite spot. We had dinner there which was delicious with a nice ambiance. Overall, the stay was good value.

A little TLC/maintenance needed here and there, but overall a simple space that is fine for a destination like this where you're out most of the time.

amazing gem of a place in the hills out of town. surrounded by forest with a river running by, very peaceful. slightly out of town so a car may be an option but buses pass frequently. Nigel the chef cooks an excellent tuna steak, amongst other delights and the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful.

only stayed 5 days, should have been longer

Nice hotel, friendly staff, close to the airport, so for us the perfect place as a last evening in Dominica. The rooms were spacious and clean. The rooms are all located in a beautiful green environment, what gives it extra charm. We didn't had the breakfast, but we chose to eat our diner there... So delicious! And we took it with a home made rumpunch and made it even more excellent!

The walls are thin, so you could hear the outside very good. We didn't had a problem with it and are neighbors were totally nice, but I can imagine it can be different sometimes :) Just as a tip: in that case take some earplugs with you, because the rest makes up for it!
