We loved our stay in Rosalie Bay resort and we would love to be back one day. The rooms were very specious, stylishly decorated, and very clean. The whole resorts is very well maintained and cleaned. In the garden you can spot a lot of fruit trees and plants, birds, lizards, and there was an agouti to be seen every morning. The calmness of this place is amaizing. You hear the ocean throughout the entire time. We were very lucky to see hatchling of the turtles and also a leatherback turtle making a nest. Unforgettable experience. We had great interaction with the staff who was very friendly, they arranged a rental car for us, checked the ferries, and transferred us back and forth to the ferry terminal. Great base for exploration of this amaizing nature paradise. The temperatures end of April were great, between 25-28 degrees with nice wind. Last note: you really need a car to explore Dominica, and swimming in the ocean by Rosalie bay is not allowed and simply not possible.

Food in general in the restaurant needs to be improved. There is very little fruit for breakfast, usually only watermelon or melon. We would have loved it if the menu included more local cousine options and more fruits. Since the place is remote, the restaurant is in practice your only choice for dinner, unless you dare to take the risk and drive in the dark to go to a restaurant.

Beautiful eco hotel nested in a breathtaking natural landscape between a river estuary and a turtle nesting reserve on a black sand beach. There is even a nice easy hike in the jungle just by the property. Perfect place for nature lovers, even with little kids. The swimming pool has some shallow areas perfect for little ones. The spa is wonderful with views on the river. I highly recommend the cocoa scrub and massage! And the staff is great both at the hotel, the restaurant and the spa! Even the driver who picked us up from the port was adorable.

Unfortunately you can’t swim in the beach because of the rough current but you can walk by the beautiful beach and feel like in the movie Cast Away in the early morning or swim in the swimming pool.

Secluded, right on a beautiful beach Comfortable bed. Good dinner. Good spa menu selection. Gorgeous grounds.

Some areas needed attention including the shower in our room and the pool, which was very rough and needing repair. No towels were available for the pool (or if they were, we were not made aware). We needed to order breakfast the night before as we left early for the airport, but the selection did not hold up well in our fridge overnight so we were without a meal. These are very minor things, didn't ruin any part of our stay, we were only there one night, we didn't get to experience the spa as it was booked, and it was raining, so I'm sure there are things we missed. But based on this stay, in comparison to others we stayed at during our trip, for the cost it did not meet our expectations, but did give us a nice chance to unwind.

The property is quiet and secluded from towns. For any nature lovers, this is an outstanding eco-resort to visit. There is a beach and a river running next to the property. Lots of different species of trees and flowers. We loved it!

We felt that it was hard to find food outside of the resort for dinner. It is risky to drive at night; roads are in bad shape, and the island has lots of high mountains and cliffs.

Our room was spacious for our family. We loved the view of the river from our room. Fun to watch birds. The swinging bench was an added bonus. It was quiet and peaceful. Nice grounds to walk around on. Ample pool size. Kind staff who work hard to make it a great experience. Walking to the quiet beach.

Service was slow at the restaurant.

The staff are very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. The beach is one of the nicest on the island IMO, the resort offers additional activities which are good entertainment. The river adds to the beauty of the location.

Food quality was inconsistent, some great meals, but some disappointing too. Although the beach is very nice you cannot swim in the sea, strong rip currents. In the

The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The local dishes at the restaurant were delicious and overall the environment at the resort promoted relaxation!

I would have liked a kitchenette; or just a couple available plates or bowls or forks in the room. But I was happy for the mini fridge and coffee maker.

The Rosalie Bay Eco Resort is amazing! My family felt so relaxed and welcome from the moment we arrived. The entire staff is so welcoming and friendly, the food is amazing using locally sourced ingredients starting with the fresh passion fruit juice served each morning or local coffee, kale and pumpkin couscous salad for lunch, local braised goat and fresh fish fingers for the kids (they couldn’t wait to eat each meal and lick their plate clean! The property is green, eco-conscious (very minimal plastic or free sundries in plastic provided), and has so much to do. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the rooms immaculately cleaned. We stayed five nights and could have easily stayed longer! A special shout out to Judy for all her tips (Emerald Pool, Jaco steps/flats hike, Spanny and Jaco Falls, and Victoria Falls hike-we we’re content and exhausted each day!), the always friendly ladies in the Leatherback restaurant Alina and Sabrina, the front desk staff, and grounds staff. my husband lived the gym and the kids and I loved the pool which was so natural and refreshing! Oh and did I mention we saw a beautiful leatherback female turtle lay her eggs-a bucket list experience!

Nothing. Rosalie Bay is remote in the middle of the rainforest and it does help to have a car if you are wanting to go to all the hikes snd waterfalls on your own schedule but the hotel can also organize private excursions. I loved the onsite pool and river kayaking and wandering turtle beach each morning-i/we ran out of time to even check out the beautiful spa! I don’t know about those people in the reviews who say the property is dated or the food is not good-I think those are the type of people who need to be at super developed chain properties with the all-inclusive options and probably they have come to the wrong island.

I like the quiet location so was able to enjoy the wonderful native flora on site

Didn't enjoy any of my evening meals. In my experience the food was overly cooked. Buffet breakfast was better at least I was able to enjoy what was available.
